at about 7:15, the lady says that a hill over there is called "Hill that crushed a monster". In Mongolian language, hills are often called "Толгой" or "Head" in Mongolian. Then at 7:28 she says "she wishes she could speak your language so she could give some historical facts of the area". Also the name Moron or sometimes spelled Murun means a large river. It is the administrative center of Khuvsgul province, and is where I was born. It's usually a little better in summer where you can go to the bazaar markets and buy fresh mountain wild berries, dairies, cheese, meat, and river and lake fish freshly caught. Otherwise it isn't the most exciting place. Lot of Europeans come in the summer mostly to do horse trekking in Khuvsgul area.

6:36 These are "tugs", "suides", or banners of yak/horse hair - a symbol of the Mongolian state or unification of the tribes. Usually there's 9 nine banners but I count 13 total banners here. Usually the white hair represents peace and black means war.

I went on holiday in Mongolia last year with my family and we passed through Moron on our way to a ger camp on Lake Khuvsgul. You're right - the city is rather dull and just a place to pass through and stop for petrol and supplies on your way to somewhere else. We flew to Moron from UB and then took a van from the airport to our camp.
It's not pronounced the same as the English word "moron" - it's pronounced more like "murrun."
As we were travelling through Mongolia on of my recurring thoughts was "Gee whiz, there's enough Soviet and communist remnants around here to give Mr Bald a 24 hour stiffy!"

JDM Priuses are about half the cars on the road, especially in Ulaanbaatar, but even out in the countryside. The biggest selling point is, because the whole traction motor and battery is effectively a starter, no other car in the world starts more reliably at -40 (Celsius or F, same temp)! Whole infrastructure of battery rebuilders and lift kits in the country I've seen people herd goats leaning out the window of one. Or ruclips.net/user/shorts1lTz0bY03fw.

I love Ben. He actually seems so surprised to see a car driving with no tire in a town called Moron!

Hey, that was the tomb of Ghengis Khan’s wife No 43215. From Moron you could travel to Fakfak in West Irian. Or Nhill, South Australia? Just kidding; you are doing well. Saves me going there; perhaps. Keep on trucking
