- There are two ways to travel from Kathmandu to Pokhara in Nepal. You can either take a 30 minute flight, or a 9 hour bus ride. Of course I chose the 9 hour ride ;) In this video I experience what it is like to travel like a local in Nepal. I see beautiful mountain villages, try a traditional meal, and experience the bumpy Nepali roads.

Thanks for sharing your videos, I did the Annapurna circuit back in 2019 and started from Pokhara so brings back memories. By the way, the tikka masala should be scooped out of the bowl and placed not the plate to eat but when its that's good I don't blame you from eating directly from the serving bowl. Be caution if you end up eating something with cheese in it, it is usually yak cheese which my guide shared with me is not usually from pasteurized milk so it can make outsiders not used to it easily sick.
I am enjoying your journey. Very watchable. I was in Pokhara in '76. There were no hotels lakeside and just one food outlet, the "Swiss Restaurant". And no buildings over 2 stories. There was a big attraction for me, the Banyan tree, at the Chowk near the post office, that was planted by Buddha.
As a Nepali, I did not know that.
That's a luxury bus... Enjoy the trip... You will get the ease and comfort you get in flight...

Just curious: when you do these kind of travels and devouring the local foods, do you go back to your usual palette or bring with you food that would bring you back to your real world on each end of the day?

Nice to see my hometown after so long.I used to go to that cave wen I was kid. You should have spent more around the Tibetan village next to the cave.You would have enjoyed lots of Tibetan dishes around there too… Nice videos though

11:30 the snake in the wall is the serpent bed of lord Bishnu and the people holding it are actually fighting to snake
Bro I don't think Ananta the serpent bed of Bishnu was used during Samundra Manthan. That snake is Basuki the garland of Shiva which was used as churning rope. And sir those people are not fighting the snake, they are Gods and Asuras churning the milk of ocean to obtain holy elixir.
