This band changed everything for me in 2004..so much they took My top spot, and that top spot features Maiden,Dio,Priest etc..not saying those 3 aren't my favs as they always will be..but EG changed everything..and Im a huge Sweden/Gothenburg fan. At 49 years old I truly believe they are the best..having the privilege of seeing them 3x in Ohio now and owning everything they have done I will continue to go with them on this magnificent journey. I and my twins and wife were fortunate to spend an entire evening with them after a Cleveland show in 2015..the kindest, most talented guys in the biz..Kings. so glad you are finally into them brother..they are Life..my life
This song is super cool and i'm loving the visuals. Also this album cover is probably my favourite of all their albums, and that's saying a lot! Cheers to you Tank, thank you for always giving us great videos and infos.🤘🏻
Hello frim Ireland.☘☘👍👍 Twas "Passing Through" that engulfed me into the Evergrey world, and I still cant understand why they are'nt as big as the deserve. I think that, the main riff is quite reminiscent to "Where August Mourns" from the last album. I feel that the song is a tad bit like their last couple of albums, especially the production. It feels like a continuation of Escape of the Phoenix. I loved your words and thoughts. Id love to see a video with you discussing all their albums, and how getting into the band has been for you.
Hey Bud.. Just wanted to say a massive thank you.. not only am I enjoying your reactions, but every time I watch I learn something new. Whether about gear or techniques or just interesting trivia, there’s always goodies. As a muso, I find that so much better than just straight up reactions. So from Down Under, Perth Australia, A massively moshing thank you. Annnd… you really should check out TRIVIUM, Until the world goes cold.. Cheers Bro 🤙
Hey! I love your channel and often watch your videos. I'm a bit surprised that there hasn't been a reaction to Septicflesh's "Neuromancer" yet. A great song with a nice video. I would be so happy to see it on your channel. Thank you for the hard work you do for your subscribers. You deserve every single one of them. Best regards
You are not alone Tank, I also found this video kind of cool and interesting, but also frankly distracting in an odd way - it actually threw off my first listen as well. I find the frame rate just odd, but I really like this backwards trilogy thing the guys have going on here! Also, maybe it's just me, but something about the subject matter in these 2 videos so far feel oddly timely in an uncomfortable way - and somehow that enhances it? I'm sure that's a weirdly personal take, but Evergrey's music has always felt weirdly personal to me in the best way. With all that said, I can confidently say that after just listening to this one again without the video distracting me, it grew on me A LOT. So much so that I actually think I like this one even more now than "Save Us", and that one was outstanding from start to finish! I've got a flight the day this album comes out, can't wait to binge it multiple times while in the air!
Another great video. I'd love to see you check out a newer Korn song like Stat The Healing, I'd love the insight on the gear stuff, also Jonathan's mic stand is super unique, and love to here your take on it.
I liked more this music than "Save Us". Tom's voice is incredible. This band is such underreated PS: At last video, where you reacted Evergrey - Save Us, i told about a band from Denmark call Pyramaze. I don't know if you listened them, but You should listen them, where Jacob Hansen play guitar since 2011.
I know that Pyramaze's keyboard player, Jonah Weingarten, has also played with Teramaze, and did a tour with MindMaze. There's a connection there somewhere, I am amazed that I haven't spotted it yet 🤔 😆
Does it ever comes somthing that not is good from Gothenburg?? This is realy good music from Evergrey. Then we have In Flames, Dark Tranquility, At the Gates, Hammerfall, Manimal ( well Kungsbacka is close enough ) Dead By April, Dream Evil, Avatar, Graveyard, The Halo Effect, Mustasch and probably some more that I might have forgotten. And then of course Patric Ullaeus.
@@TankTheTech same! I have some “Hardcore,” 🙄 metal head fans that don’t like them anymore because they say they’ve gone soft…but I disagree, I think they’ve matured and have more experiences to write songs about. Plus, battling depression as I do, songs like Stay With Me hit harder than anything I can head bang to. But yeah, definitely one of my all time favorite bands and I still feel own they’re under appreciated lol! Anyway, it wouldn’t do for you to “react,” to stuff you e already heard lol. I was just curious what you thought about the band…new album out later this year, though!!!
Was not entirely sold on his one, but I really liked the last one they released though so looking forward to the next album. Also, would love to see a reaction on Amon Amarths latest video for Put your back into the oar. Your seemed to like the other reaction on them and as a big Amon fan i really liked that song. Can't wait for their new album tbh.
I'm not aware of every tattoo Ola has, but I've never noticed a Vulgar Display of Power tattoo on his arm in all the times I've watched him play... Unless this is a joke I don't get. 😂
I've never heard this band before, thanks tank for introducing me to another band to explore. I am seeing a huge similarity between evergray and Moroccan metal band Myrath. and I am wondering if they were inspired by evergray and other bands like this?
Thanks Tank! :)
You have an eye for detail, let's talk guitars some day :)
Hahaha. Sounds like a plan, man!
See you at Rockbaren! =)
Awesome! Thanks for the support Tank! :)🙏🤘
Thank you guys for the awesome music once again!
Me and my brother are gonna travel from Spain to Goteborg just to enjoy the release show. This album is going to be insane.
✊🏻
Nice, man! Enjoy!
took me a moment (or two) to digest this song...but now I like it even more than Save Us (which I thought was impossible). this band....freaking gold
Evergrey is fucking gold.

I'm enjoying all your Evergrey's reaction! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks Tank whas great.
The crowd singing was recorded during (i think) 3 different concerts in Sweden i November. I was at the Gothenburg show \m/
And Stockholm December 13th! It's was a great show, I know.
I was about to mention this as well! I was at the Gothenburg one when Tom asked for some assistance from the audience
Super pumped for this album. Love all the songs they've released from it so far.

Cheers, man! Thank you!
Saw them I Sweden in November and the crowd was asked to sing this part so they could record it and use it on this track
Tank
Gotta listen to this band. Reaction or not just important one to discover. Hope u enjoy man
Band = Borealis
Song = River
That's a damn Good song. Totally will head over and pre-order

we checked out Pyramaze on a Saturday stream
Yeah, we checked em out on Twitch and I really dug them.

Thanks for another great reaction, checkout the new song from Faun feat Eluveitie - Gwydion.🤘
Not gonna lie tank, I watch a ton of reaction channels but yours and galactic criminal have music I've never given a chance........until now.
🤘🤘🤘
Speaking of Swedish metal…have you ever done any In Flames videos?
One as a throwback, because In Flames is one of my favorite bands of all times and I've heard everything they've ever done.

Bro. I'd still love a Defamed reaction. They're newest video The Dancer is great. Italian Deathcore in the vein of Lorna Shore.

He did it on twitch last week (?) as their publisher is very block/strike happy
@@dave-bk6vt ahh, I see
Pretty sure that arm choking Tom is that of Ola Englund of The Haunted/At the Gates ;)
I'm not aware of every tattoo Ola has, but I've never noticed a Vulgar Display of Power tattoo on his arm in all the times I've watched him play...
Unless this is a joke I don't get. 😂
@@TankTheTech I could be mistaken but knowing he's s fellow Swede, a huge Pantera fan whose favorite album is Vulgar Display.... I am assuming though.
It's not @ola englund I can have him kill me in another video though!

Anyone else get Baltimora -Tarzan Boy vibes? (not meant to be a slam, this song is great but the o-o-o's gave me flashbacks)
I like this song more than Save Us however like Save Us I can't watch the video this frame rate hurts my eyes
I think the 50 frames is probably supposed to make you feel uncomfortable. Kind of like how uncanny valley does.
Seen the Solar bass yet? :)
Yeah, we talked about it in my reaction to “Save Us”.
Onestly is a good song but not one of the best song of Evergrey, but the chorus is damn cool 😉👍 unique band!
I don't think I've seen anything bad come from napalm.
Dang, they know how to do a refrain.
But I don't know if I want to get used to this frame rate. It doesn't feel natural.
Regardless of Evergrey's video, 50 frames is one of the most ridiculous video settings. Everything looks so fake and soap opera like.
I like the song but how the video was shot is not pleasing. Almost makes me feel sea sick.
easy for me.... dont like it sorry but missing energy that orbit or sabaton is giving me
