I use dual Virpil Constellation sticks with 50CM2 base, using soft spring with space cam. For the pedal it's TPR Rudder. Use the X and Y axis for pitch and yaw is my suggestion :P
Curves have to be linear, any curve for the axis will mess up your aim imo You can try using different saturation settings, I myself use default which is 1, but I think 0.8 or around will be pretty good, too

@ in theory the lag PIP should be better because with lag PIP you are mostly looking at the enemy ship thus you should be able to better tell where enemy is going. This is what I like to think so, but the reality is: I am able to tell where enemy is going a bit better with lead PIP, and it makes it easier for me to aim. But with Lead PIP I have to train myself to look at both the PIP and the enemy ship which can sometimes be hard to do

Guess since they nerfed the F7A and the F8C the meta is back with the Gladius and Arrow. CIG never learns. Whats the point in making the F7A and F8 superiority fighters if they can't fly like them. Looks like the Gladius is top dog over the Arrow but that might come down to the pilot. Both ships are super agile.
Yeah, CIG making big circles and now we are back to wiggly Gladius and repeater meta. Honestly the last couple patches were more enjoyable, the current meta is hyper wiggle and hyper aim, not fun to play.
The F7A was nerfed? In 4.0 or current patch? When I fly the f7C hornet in current patch it flies exactly like how a medium fighter should. The F8, not so much, it handles like a Corsair with better vertical maneuvering. Maybe the F7A is different, I dunno I haven’t flown one
@@gogogadgetGlock more like Gladius got buffed a lot, plus in Arena Commander the F7A has a bug that nose turret can't be used, in PU it's semi fine there's a workaround.

We can buff the f7 a tiny bit in terms of agility, to be more fun. Balance is so good that a tiny difference in pilot skill will decide if F7 or Glad will win.
people keep saying HOTAS is shit compared to HOSAS, ive flown both and prefer HOTAS as i am an old school pilot, with HOTAS throttle discipline is absolute KEY, and those that dont understand that think it sucks, but its the complete opposite. There are pilots in SC that fly HOTAS that WILL give you a run for your money, thing is like me, they are rare. That said, EXCELLENT flying my man hope tto cross paths with you in the verse.
Hotas pilote here but switching between double joystick + ruder pedal (yaw) for combats and hotas for navigations. We are few to aim with foots... But not at all like foots 😂
Nice skills! I’m not as skilled should I get a Hornet then so if I ever get guns on boom? Have a stealthy Sabre which I love but extra firepower sounds dreamy. Heck I’ll try the gladius after this video. Can earn them all in game anyways
Gladius is meta for now, and it’s also a very good training platform. Hornet MK II is my go to for PU, right now we have the Ghost MK II I am sure it will be pretty awesome, too
Could be using a head tracking system. I remember I bought one for this game 10 years ago but never really used it since I dont play much and I never really got my hotas setup. Was moving to much. With the right gear ships like this are deadly. use pedal for your feat and a hotus and you have superior flight mobility, even with fixed weapons its easy to keep shots on. Also use a tracking head system, can't remember what they are called now. Easy to track your target but that might help gimbaled weapons for than fixed weapons. Also it looks like he was fighting people who had no clue what they were doing. There was an F8C that had their sight on them for 10 seconds at least which is more than enough time to kill a gladius and he never hit him once, don't think that F8C ever really fired their weapons. It really looks like the guy is fighting way below his class in pvp, that makes it look like he's much better than what he really is. I say that because there were plenty of times he should have got killed because of flying mistakes and the other guy could heave easily taken advantage of it. It's obvious though he has a good setup at hope built for this type of gameplay.

@ he was wearing a head tracker i was trying to point that out as part of his setup and its nice to use to keep track of everything. But your right i miss explained the use of the head tracker. Im surprised that in 10 years no one has been able to find a way to use it to aim better. We use that tech in our F35’s to do that. CIG needs to take notes on that. By the way being able to keep track of your target with a head tracker is one way to am better but that doesn’t mean your reticle has to follow exactly where you look to do that. The situational awareness alone improves your aim. I don’t know if someone who just plays video games can understand that. Hotus and pedals is the best way to fight and keep your reticle on target unless they really dumbed down the flight model. Bit i haven’t used a hotus in this game since 2016. And don’t plan to any time soon. In fact once MM got introduced i lost interest in everything haven’t logged in since. The original flight model pulled allot of us Air Force guys into the game but the changes has turned the flight model into an arcade game.

do you change your curves for the sticks themselves? i feel when i fly with my dual sticks i cant make those quick adjustments to aim at all

@@yikes3049 for fighting heavy fighter and below I use lead PIP as these ships are very agile. For shooting at Connie and above I’d switch to Lag PIP

gladius is actually a gret starter fighter because its very forgiving in therms of maneuverability
