  • Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! RUclips's largest collection of automotive variety! In today's video, we will take an up close and personal in depth look at the 2002 Pontiac Trans Am WS6. During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will find in depth reviews/tour of automobiles from all over the world, presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. Basically, this gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you can get without going to an actual dealer yourself! Every video is consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect in my presentations. I treat every vehicle with the same respect whether a 1960 Chevrolet Impala SS or the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador. I film all types of vehicles from past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new, exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. I wanted to share my love for the automotive world with the rest of the world. Be sure to explore the massive video variety, have fun and enjoy The Driver's Seat of RUclips!

This video was uploaded 9 years ago. They were asking 12,500 and now these cars are worth a lot more now. I believe you can get 25k for this TA now. I still have mine and every time I take it out for. Spin, someone wants to buy it from me! Was worth keeping it after 21 years. 🙌🏻

@@zealandwylie489 yes if want to buy a V6 Firebird and with high mileage. Also, if you put an LS1 engine you better change everything from brakes to suspension to handle all that power. You remind me of them V6 mustang owners that can’t afford a V8 so they beef up their V6s. 🤣🤣

@@JR-jk5wz Hey what's wrong with gunning for the V6, used Mustang V8 prices have gone absolutely fucktard with a 140,000+ miles V8 SN95 costing between $15,000 to $20,000 in my area. V8s are nice but that's a bit much. Although I ain't gonna, even V6s have gone for the sky with a 140,000+ mile V6 SN95 Stang costing $7000 to $13,000. Seriously, where are those fairytale days when an old clunker V8 Stang or Camaro could be had for under $5000???

This was my dream car from about 1996-2002. Then, out of some weird "look what I got!" moment… my aunt… who was rich at the time… bought one of these… all because I said it was the coolest car. My aunt was strange like that. She would go out and buy whatever other people would say is cool just to show off to them. She's broke now.

Continuous failing window regulators, headlight motors, seat belt guides that pull out of the seats, AC knobs that break off in your hands, all in one turn signal stock with a quarter inch of play in every direction, big play school buttons, the hump in the passenger footwell. But the T-Tops, engine, and transmission made this generation of fbody fun!

Everytime I see one rollin through town, I get an immediate adrenaline rush, especially the few times that I've actually got to see Firehawks! I'm great full for the two different hands on experience being behind the wheel of a 2000 Trans Am and a 1999 WS6, both were M6s. It was absolute adrenaline rush the entire time! The 2002 Pontiac Trans Am SLP WS6 being my all time dream car, I'd lose my mind the day one's title is in my name, I'd go insane...one day...one day...some day...soon...I'll get me one...that is dark as night...riding under the moon.

I Understood why they did away with Oldsmobile, Hummer, Saturn but c'mon Knight rider, Smokey and the bandit, the GTO had its own theme song. WS6's are amazing and I'd love to own on. But seriously, consider the Camaros or regular T/A's too. Same performance out of all of them, it's just the WS6 is more rare and looks more bad ass. However, because of this low mile 01-02 black WS6's can cost like $15k. You can get a solid F-body of another kind for half of that.
The car in the video is actually a steal for the price.
[Edit] Oh, and don't believe the hype about how "The SS or WS6 makes X amount more HP, and the C5 makes X more.". All LS1's make the same HP and are underrated from the factory to justify sales of something like the SS for having "more" power. If you want more than 345HP, headers, a high flow exhaust, intake lid, and tune will easily get you close to 400HP. Possibly 50+HP more if you get a head and cam package too. Also, these cars, but more so the Camaros, will make 30mpg highway if you drive them properly and don't have heads/cam or 4.11 final drive gears. They're also decently reliable and will run for hundreds of thousands of miles. When you go to buy one, many already have most of the mods you want installed by the previous owner, no point in buying a stock F-body because (1.) There's barely any of them, and (2.) No matter what type of person you think you are, you're going to modify your F-body, probably more than you expect. Some go for suspension upgrades mostly to make them AutoX monsters, some go for MOAR power and drag setups. Either way, these are perfect cars for modifying and making stupid fast whether it's in a straight line or in the corners.

didn't the ws6 especially the last year 2002 make more power than its counterparts?

      agree this

    • @deankevin96
      @deankevin96 8 лет назад

Lmao you're not gonna get that much hp from just those 3 things.. With those you'll get 15-20 at the most. If you knew anything about LS engines, you would know that just a single big cam could get you up to 50hp..

+Unbearable Pain i own a black 02 ws6 6speed and its power was underrated from factory. when i dynoed my ws6 with just a slp lid and an exhaust cutout with clogged driver side catalytic converter, it put down 330wrhp which is equivalent appx 375hp with the 12% drivetrain loss. When i installed my cam and headers and tune, i picked up 79rwhp on a different dyno with a heavier drivetrain

+punchdb My cousin had a bone stock '99 Camaro SS, it put down 305rwhp.

Interior seems small, but I have been able to fit five full grown adults into my 2000 firebird, so it's really just a matter of will and motivation. And owning it so I don't have to get squashed in the back... Although it is fun to make my tall friends sit back there.

i have a 93 Z28 with the LT1 and 170,XXX miles on it. never had an issue with the oil pressure. the optispark isn't too bad, but upgrading it to an MSD unit helps alot. anther thing to worry about is the GM PassKey antitheft system, as they are known to give fits as it ages.

I wish I could find one like that near me. I'd trade in my 2012 Nissan in a heartbeat. Save myself a few grand in the long run, too. I just love the looks of the Trans Ams. Just something about them compared to Camaros/corvettes/mustang of their time. Really a budget speed machine.
