- As this being my 4th week doing this; I've come to the conclusion that I need to do it for a full 10 weeks; the cost of food is not going down and some items are continuing to climb; so the month of April there will be weekly videos.
Everyone needs to think hard how they can cut the cost of food weekly; I certainly hope this helps and gives ideas.

This is an AWESOME $5 pantry haul! Way to go!! Little by little it will add up! I added you to my "Friday Five "pantry playlist. There have been a bunch of us over the past two years to see how we can STILL find deals out there to build a pantry for $5 ** I also keep a spreadsheet of prices in my area to see patterns of prices increases and decreases on the food we buy. I am looking forward to seeing your $5 pantry grow. 💋
Thank you! That is a great idea!!
very great items for the money. And I do think the items are thoughtful. The cornbread can do alot to fill bellies. The other items are wonderful as well.
Thank you! Filling bellies these days is the focus is it not.
Great video! I think many figure, "Oh its only $5. That won't help." It really adds up though over a few months. Whether you stock up against price increases or even inclement weather, it definitely worth putting back a pantry.
Thank you! Exactly... At this point just doing it no matter the prices will benefit you... Prices are only going up
5 extra cans a week is over 250 cans a year
This is wonderful. New friend
Thank you!
Good job!
Thank you!
New sub here. Love the idea of doing a weekly $5 pantry stock-up haul. Isn't it interesting to see people's reactions to the idea of a pantry stock-up? Love your breakfast nook booth!! That is a future home goal of mine! ❤
Thank you! Oh this booth is about 26 years old; hardwood. Love it when the grandkids are over for sure. I also enjoy challenging myself at what I can get for just $5 these days for sure.
this is a great idea. actually that is a complete meal right there. macaroni/cheese, cornbread, and chocolate cake for dessert. thanks to you tube, this was in my recommendations, so i subscribed. looking forward to all your other videos. :)
Thank you! Your right... Never hit me until you mentioned it.. Good recommendation for others that read your comment.
If your near an Aldi in your appointment trips you can get good stuff for $5
Thank you for your comment. Yes you are right; however that week I already did my $5.00 purchases. I've also been price comparing and I noticed that Aldi has increased prices just as all the other stores; which hurt my heart; as I used to purchase quiet a few items by the case; now it has changed.
I love this idea. You are helping so many people.
Thank you! It just hurts my heart that food prices have sky rocketed.... I remember just a few years ago I could get $5.00 worth and have more than 6 items; that's for sure.
The problem is everything you got with the exception of jello requires things like milk, butter, and eggs.
You are correct; but this is just suggestions and is only non-perishable items. Pulling together a meal sometimes does require the items you mentioned; however, i personally have used water in place of milk and applesauce for eggs in baking. Encouraging others to just start something small if they do not have a large space and an extra $5.00 or under is my suggestion for this challenge. Thank you for your comment; I have had others wondering the exact same thing.
