Not only is Daniel Barenboim still a breathtaking performer, he can bring across a deep understanding of what music adds to life...although I am a classical guitarist ...I have learned from him since I heard him playing. Thank you!
Querido Maestro Barenboim justamente estoy estudiando la sonata nro. 5 para cello y piano. Soy cellista.
QUERIDO MAESTRO DANIEL BARENBOIM . SALUDOS DESDE ARGENTINA. EL MAESTRO BARENBOIM ES UN ORGULLO NACIONAL, NO SOLAMENTE POR SU DESTACADO DESEMPEÑO EN EL ARTE DE LA MUSICA, SINO POR SU HOMBRIA DE BIEN , SENCILLEZ Y HUMILDAD.- ESPERAMOS SU VISITA.- UN GRAN ABRAZO.-
I can’t play the piano, in fact I know almost nothing about music, yet when Daniel Barenboim explains something I understand it well and enjoy that music even more. I suppose only a master can explain something so complex as if it is that simple.
Yes I had the boxed LP collection of beethoven sonatas with him . looking rather dashing on the box . I'm. Heterosexual buy can still say that. He's now in his twilight years with a still formidable technique and musicality . Shame I couldn't transfer his musical knowledge and techniques into my hands and brain! It will happen one day
Maestro Barenboim: si usted no existiera, habría que inventarlo. Es usted sencillamente extraordinario. Gracias por sus lecciones magistrales. Son razón de vivir.
I have been re-learning and self teaching myself classical guitar over the last nine months this is the second time during that nine months with maybe four months between the two occasions that I have listened to this conversation and now the penny drops. Merçi beaucoup monsieur Daniel Barenboim.
There is such a natural flow emanating from the whole being of Barenboim. His soft voice, gentle body movements and friendly look are that of a great person.
Apocalipsis Explicado - por Guillermo Álamo I don’t know about Barenboim’s past and don’t wish to know. All I’m saying is about what I see now, let the past not influence his current state of being.
Thank You, Maestro! You help open my experiences! Even after performing in many ensembles in my life of 60+ years, your teaching makes even often repeated pieces new!
Atte.Luis...un oidor amplio de musica. Saludos cordiales
talk about the education of a great pianist, what makes for you the difference between a good pianist and a great pianist. and how could countries increase the level of his students ? More videos about your experience un teaching and learning, your Beethoven masterclasses were great! keep going maestro
What a great teacher! Imagine anyone in the world who comprehends English or can understand the subtitles has access to this wonderful musician. Thank you RUclips ( and of course, Daniel).
Mr. Barenboim: thank you so much for your wonderful stories. Listening to your stories, we, your listeners, your RUclips audience, are reading a book on Music - on the art of melody, the art of harmony. We are living these moments of elation, listening - with your help - to breathtakingly beautiful melodies and harmonies. I wish you told more about Mozart, an incredible genius, who, in his tragically short 36 years of life, has created and left us 27 piano concertos, 55 symphonies (i think?), etc., etc., etc. Maybe you could even find time to tell us about Mozart's piano concerto 24, and - the beautiful 2-nd movement of the concerto 23...Thank you immensely. You make our troubles go away, and our lives - more fulfilled. A question: are you ever tired of conducting the same opuses? What 20 CD-s (what music) would you take with you if you were to live alone, just by yourself, on an uninhabited island for a year or two?
People throw the label genius around way too lightly these days. This man truly is levels and levels beyond many virtuosos, he has been and is a genius in music ..
"Try to listen to all elements at one, you will enjoy music much more". You are totally correct, love your simplicity
It is such a privilege to listen Mr Barenboim .
I am so glad RUclips sent me here!
I got here too after three years!
And again
Love that he's just on an upright.
Veliki znalac!
Not only is Daniel Barenboim still a breathtaking performer, he can bring across a deep understanding of what music adds to life...although I am a classical guitarist ...I have learned from him since I heard him playing. Thank you!

Thank you for the gift of your time and explainations that open a new understanding of music.
Maravilloso!!!, infinitas gracias Maestro!
Maestro 🙏👍🏼
I remember Mr. Barenboim as a very young man. He has done well.
Yes I had the boxed LP collection of beethoven sonatas with him . looking rather dashing on the box . I'm. Heterosexual buy can still say that.
Just a perfect explained . Better than words. Thanks GrandMaster Daniel
The spirit of German Art Composers here on Earth lives on as Daniel Barenboim. Bravo maestro!
You always give me the feeling that music is open to everyone who wants it.
Thank you for the great video!
So enjoy you Daniel Tks for these short tips n sharing knowledge.
Maestro Barenboim: si usted no existiera, habría que inventarlo. Es usted sencillamente extraordinario. Gracias por sus lecciones magistrales. Son razón de vivir.
Proving one of my principles in life: Context is everything.
Yeah one time I ran a school bus full of children of a cliff, people keep taking it out of context and now I'm wanted by the FBI wtf?
I have been re-learning and self teaching myself classical guitar over the last nine months this is the second time during that nine months with maybe four months between the two occasions that I have listened to this conversation and now the penny drops. Merçi beaucoup monsieur Daniel Barenboim.
Nobody talks about music better than Daniel Barenboim
Try Leonard Bernstein sometime.
Mark Secker - yes, he’s right up there too 👍
THANKS, MAESTRO. THE FIRST TIME SOMEONE EXPLAIN ME THE THREE ELEMENTS NOT BEING STUDENT, OBVIOUSLY. CLEAR AND EFFECTIVE. A PLEASURE. 😉👌👏
There is such a natural flow emanating from the whole being of Barenboim. His soft voice, gentle body movements and friendly look are that of a great person.
You would have asked Jacqueline du Pre that, when she was sick and paraplegic. But apart from that, he is undoubtedly a great musician

I don’t know about Barenboim’s past and don’t wish to know. All I’m saying is about what I see now, let the past not influence his current state of being.
Barenboim is a bully. Very bad attitude towards his orchestra as a conductor (hes mean).
Samaritan how do you know? I’m not saying you’re wrong, but do you have any evidence?

Awesome explanation. I could listen to him continuously without even getting bored one second. Chapeau!
Great human! Not only a great musician.
I love the way he looks away (e.g. 1:34) to enjoy and concentrate on the listening. A very auditive person in a nutshell - of course.

Thank you Daniel for doing this clear explanation! It is very useful!
This man's life in music has been a blessing on this planet filled with discord and conflict.
How do you know? Did he say so? Just asking, no hate.... I know what the papers have written over the years, but we know how that goes..
@@gdmoore he was married with the great cellist Jacqueline Du Pré, who has died early age by ELA...so sad
SaKuGa SeNsEi czn you not use the letter “a”?
SaKuGa SeNsEi wow, that’s impressive
SaKuGa SeNsEi aren’t you going to reply?
