I like this song because I’m a Yankees fan and even though I’m 13 I really appreciate the players like Joe DiMaggio and Yogi Berra and what they did for the Yankees so hearing about Joe DiMaggio in a song is really cool.
There has never been a better usage of this song than in Tarantino's Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. And it didn't even involve any of the lyrics other than the beginning doo doo doo's. Within the first 20 minutes of the film, it's used brilliantly in a scene where the older character(Brad Pitt), watches the girl walk past him in an atmospheric Hollywood sunset. It's just so beautiful.
Sorry for saying this Old people says about their old-time when listening this song But I am 22 and just listening this song this year, very grateful to know this beautiful enchanting song

At work and on lunch as a type, a friend and I were just talking music and I mentioned paul simon and he promptly belted out Mrs Robinson and we sang a line or two trying to remember lyrics and of course I just had to hear it at lunch and here I am on this beautiful day in the Northwest jammin with a little S&G
As an older (and better like wine) devorcee, with a great appreciation for garters and hard working young men I hold this song in high esteem. Simon and Garfunkel are so underrated. ❤
I remember the song being played to death on the radio in 68. I only recently watched the whole movie - which has little to do with the song's lyrics. However... my mom had a friend who had just gotten married for the second time, and that couple hung out with another couple... the Robinsons. And it turned out my mom's friend's new hubby was doing.... you guessed it Mrs. Robinson. The whole time, before and after... so I always think of that whole affair now when I hear this song.
My teacher in elementary school was Mrs.Robinson she was really nice and really kind she was my favorite teacher ever. I’m a sophomore in high school now.The good old days ❤🥲
Mrs. Robinson, trying to figure out the real meanings of the lyrics is something I've always enjoyed doing.... Once you know the how's n the why's of the whole "HollyWood" scene, ALL the why's it was created for America it just makes me ponder these things more intently....I try to look at the era the song was let out to the public just a little more closely n try to put myself in that era in my mind by studying all the things that were happening the decade before n after the song was put out for the public to enjoy! The genius of the best songwriters are making the song go right over the heads of mankind, never ever really letting on to the true meanings of the lyrics to the sleeping masses! It's a game with so many hints n clues to get you to the real gems of those meanings! Something that I absolutely love trying to decipher n play to get it right in the end! Kinda opens up a secret world that most just never get to see running parallel to our own, it's almost like you're living in a never-ending episode of the Twillight Zone , once you get yourself in the zone there's no way out! 🤔🤦♀️🤷♀️ God bless America , May God than bless the whole earth in doing so 🙏🥰 🙏🇺🇸❤🤍💙🇺🇸🙏
I love this song so much because juses loves me so very much I believe in him with all my heart he helps me be get Through hard times I am so thankful that he loves me and everyone in this world he loves
Okay, I'm going to be accused of stalking Paul's songs here on You Tube, but I have to say it... Paul's lyrics tend towards disconnected thoughts that don't make a great deal of sense, not just in this song, but in many of his hits. I'm sure a lot of viewers want to assign deep meanings to his lyrics, but I really believe there's not a whole lot to work with most of the time. He got better at telling real stories in his solo career, but when he was with Garfunkel a lot of it, in my opinion, was just finding words that rhymed.
I don't pray alll the time ....you don't have too ...but always say thank you XXX If I can't find something & then it's there ...like we're my Keys ohh there they are.... thank you XXX
I always thought this song was a Beatles song, then I typed it up and saw it was Simon and Garfunkel. Now, I remember my dad playing their music while I went to bed. I never really payed attention to them, also I could never remember their names. But now some years later, I love them! My friends are getting annoyed of me talking about them....^_^
mrs Struys, you were my godess, my chemic teacher. I miss you so hard. I was just a teenager and you were my girl although you were much older. I wil always have you in my heart! with your beautiful green eyes.... I fucking miss your sweet touch. I was 15 you were 35 but that did not bother me. You were the most sweetest woman I ever had. We used to listen to this song after school and it became our song. I held your hand when you were dying and I was there when you passed... I will love you forever!
On this day in 1941 {May 15th} Joe DiMaggio began his historic 56-game hitting streak, a major league baseball record that's still standing... And exactly twenty-seven years later on May 15th, 1968 'Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio?, a nation turns its lonely eyes to you' was at #2 on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart, the following week it remained at #2, and then for the next three weeks "Mrs. Robinson" by Simon and Garfunkel was at #1 on the Top 100 ...
She preyed on little jumpin' Joe Dimaggio, who went missing after entering her home. Now she must spend the rest of her life in a mental hospital, roaming the grounds alone. But Heaven holds a place for those who prey. Jesus loves u more than u will know.
This is too funny. The lyric provider wrote "Heaven holds a place for those who "prey" instead of "pray" and Mrs Robinson did "prey" on the boy in the movie. 😆Good job! 👍
Sincerely, I don't believe that! Everybody would IMHO jump at the chance to be young again - no, not a do over, simply being rejuvenated (it doesn't mean you'd have to go to school again etc.)

My teacher in elementary school was Mrs.Robinson she was really nice and really kind she was my favorite teacher ever.
I’m a sophomore in high school now.The good old days ❤🥲
Still here listening in 2024

God bless America , May God than bless the whole earth in doing so 🙏🥰
🙏🇺🇸❤🤍💙🇺🇸🙏
Heaven holds a place for those who pray 🙏❤🍀
I feel like Mrs Robinson when they sing like that ♡ gives me a lot of peace and certainty

You know it's awesome harmony when you can't tell which part is the harmony and which is the melody :)
As a mrs Robison I like it 😂 all me friends keep sending me this sense I got married 🎉 makes me laugh
Yeah, I made a mistake in my comment. I thought they did cover the song, but they didn't. Thanks for pointing it out!
Sborrificante, amico
This song just floated into my memory from way back.
I love this song.
God bless everybody.
I don't pray alll the time ....you don't have too ...but always say thank you XXX
If I can't find something & then it's there ...like we're my Keys ohh there they are.... thank you XXX
This is so good, it should be a Beatles song. It even sounds like them.
“Should be”?
@Creatively Bankrupt I am the walrus is goo goo g'joob not coo coo ca-choo tho
Mmmm.. I found this song more sassy and ironic than any Beatles's songs (in my opinion, probably I'm wrong idk)
It actually sounds like Simon and Garfunkel
ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITES !
Michelle Robinson Obama's Mother passed today May 31, 2024.
God bless Mrs. Robinson ❤
Thank you Virginia, she was my Mrs Robinson 💓
Im 35 and i thought this was the Beatles my entire life. Ugh. Shame has been brought upon me
I always thought this song was a Beatles song, then I typed it up and saw it was Simon and Garfunkel. Now, I remember my dad playing their music while I went to bed. I never really payed attention to them, also I could never remember their names. But now some years later, I love them! My friends are getting annoyed of me talking about them....^_^
Indeed it is! I corrected myself though for the next pray's.
Am I the only 65 year old who was 9 when this song came out in April 1968 and I was listening to it on 98 KHJ Boss Radio?
im´from argentina, and i´m only 13, and yes, all my friends call me a rare person, but i love this song, this is real music..!!

mrs Struys, you were my godess, my chemic teacher.
Damn.
esi bre kršćen ti?
What the fuck report that teacher for pedophillia
I'm sorry for your loss
I really love this song and still listening in 9/ 2020 !
I hope this song is never forgotten. Here's to you Mrs. Robinson ❤️
Great song!!!
Dupla excelente! Música maravilhosa!
"Heaven holds a place for those who prey"
Prey on what?
Younger guys probably
Orion Cornelius lol
She preyed on little jumpin' Joe Dimaggio, who went missing after entering her home. Now she must spend the rest of her life in a mental hospital, roaming the grounds alone. But Heaven holds a place for those who prey. Jesus loves u more than u will know.
Terribly Charismatic Duck it's a lie it was pray never prey..dont fall for lies
Terribly Charismatic Duck lol
This is too funny. The lyric provider wrote "Heaven holds a place for those who "prey" instead of "pray" and Mrs Robinson did "prey" on the boy in the movie. 😆Good job! 👍
I grew up in this era. I'm old, but I will die with it rather than be young today.
Your not old, young at heart like the day you first heard this tune
Sincerely, I don't believe that! Everybody would IMHO jump at the chance to be young again - no, not a do over, simply being rejuvenated (it doesn't mean you'd have to go to school again etc.)
I am 16 years old. I will be 17 in August i love this song this is ine great song.
