Hi, first name. I am in the deep south where it gets incredibly hot in the summer. I take larger suiban trays, fill them with pumice, and place the trees on top of the pumice. I water normally, usually twice a day in the hottest part of the summer, and they thrive and the display is still presentable. I go heavier than normal with Akadama for small trees in small pots, somewhere around 60% akadama, 20% kiryu, and 20% Hyuga pumice. In the spring and fall, I leave them on the bench as usual. In the winter into an unheated garage.

Do you have a good source for seeds that you would be willing to share?

What does cutting the leaves do to help the JPM trees? Do we start clipping them when winter starts, for southern parts like Alabama or Florida the weather is up and down like cold hot cold hot
