    I think this man is a kind of guru in bonsai, he speaks about 40 years of developing a bonsai trunk?
    Who has that patience? I would say that for us bonsai lovers, we are lucky to have Masters like him that can make this work for so many years, in order to purchase a decent bonsai. Respect for the mastery and the patience of this man.(Please excuse my English :D Greeting from Germany)

    Wonderful video! Inspirational, and enlightening. This teaches so much about long term development. This means much more (to me) than videos of demo's, which go into details, when I feel the overview is what eludes many starting artists.
    Thank you so much!
    Wish there was one like this of pines, which I don't seem to understand.

I’m Still somewhat of a rookie I’ve been in The hobby/Journey for 9 yrs -I have four Japanese Maples two are pre-bonsai (not there yet) in which one I air-layered off of the 2-trees in my back yard (4 yrs old)Originally it was three formal upright’s connected at the base Splitting three ways. I can honestly say I’m obsessed with the hubby its really all I think about..

    Good day Bill and Oscar, beautiful trees as always.
    A quick question please.
    A friend of mine has a 2,5m trident maple in his garden and it's growing too close to a wall of his house and said I can have it.
    When would be the best season in which to dig it up and also the best time to trunk chop it so I can force buds on it?
    Thank you 😀 I'm in the middle of autumn at the moment.
    Regards from South Africa

    The unnecessary mask muffles the audio too bad cuz the trees are beautiful and the expertise is superb. Wearing a mask that doesn't cover the nostrils is like wearing your underwear around your knees and I would love to have been able to hear more clearly the audio part

    • @howarddiskokid3889
      @howarddiskokid3889 3 года назад +4

      @@jameswellsiii3698 you'll notice I said "the trees are beautiful and the expertise is superb." That is a respectful remark. And it's a true that many people wear their face mask underneath their nose. according to experts it's close to not wearing one at all. in this video that's only the case partially. One can call things as they are seen and still be respectful about it. I have only the highest regard for this man's long history and standing and expertise in the Bonsai community

    • @Josef_R
      @Josef_R 3 года назад +3

      @@howarddiskokid3889 Why are you worried about his nose when there is no one around him and he doesn't even need the mask at all? All he's doing is virtue signaling anyway. But besides that, people who wear glasses can't see if they cover their nose.
