You could soak it in a decreasing dish liquid and apple cider vinegar or lemon juice that seems safer than a perm plus you don't want perm residue on your natural hair

I shouldn’t have to tell no fully functioning adult there is nothing wrong with this method. People apply perms directly on their SCALP.. what do you think this was going to be used for before I used it for my flat iron? 🤡 if you are not old enough to know better I shouldn’t have to tell you what your parents should. & Everything causes cancer if that’s case so either use the method or DONT. It worked out fine! I still use the same hot comb it’s 3 years old lol
