      I understand Tango's frustration. MAX clank almost feels like it has no consequences. They just ran past level 1 and that's it. I imagine tango wants people to rush by level 1 when your going deeper, and what's happening is people farming level 1 for embers and treasure and only go down in almost max clank 😂😅

    Yeah, that +32 ember run was something I had been thinking about since DO2 was still in development. Theoretically there’s nothing stopping a player from using a frost ember heavy deck and going for an easy run because there’s no need to focus on the longevity of your deck when your only on the first level. I’m interested to see what Tango’s cooking up to fix that.

    • @Ellucyf_r
      @Ellucyf_r Год назад +4

      Assuming you get all the drops which is improbable without having jump boost for one ember spot, also intensive map knowledge... it's easy to miss out on the ember spots near the entrance of the dungeon and the one leading directly to the key room because you need to cover a certain distance, and ravagers and hazards require you to take a long way around to get to one ember spot to another

    • @tristangoncalves1417
      @tristangoncalves1417 Год назад +7

      An idea might be to limit how many embers are allowed to appear on each floor, maybe 15 per floor seems a reasonable balance between allowing players to lean into ember heavy deck strategies while still encouraging going deeper

    • @Neanderstaal
      @Neanderstaal Год назад +19

      Since each frost ember dropper has its own percentage chance to actually release an ember, floor 1 droppers can just have their ember percentage reduced. No major changes needed.

      I think pearl might be a good contender. Hypno is focusing on embers and quickly rushing out of the dungeon which lets him get large multi card purchases on a success as we saw in the video, but pearl is going for the opposite in a way. She’s going heavy on treasure and clank block cards and slowly crawls through the dungeon picking up and farming as much as possible. She’s averaging around 6 crowns a game, if she can get just one loot and scoot or another uncommon treasure card she’ll have a really solid “infinite run” deck. I personally prefer Hypnos play style and it works for him because he’s insane at the parkour and ravager wranglin but it’s a very unforgiving, “all or nothing” build. Pearls is a lot more forgiving if you drop a couple of runs. It’ll be interesting to see how they develop once they get closer to 40 cards and their decks get a bit more diluted and less focused on a specific build.

    Man, I love watching Hypno's runs so much. I think I learn something new about the game every time -- and I've been watching Tango build the dang thing for over a year lol. Amazing runs!!

    To be honest I would love to see a full 32+ frost run and honestly wouldn't mind a run where you just wait for the loot or timed events

      It's possible I might do another attempt. It really depends on if Tango nerfs the card and how badly he does it if so.

    40:37 this card.. adrenaline rush, seems to be around +7 treasure at 0 clank and +25 treasure at max clank (although max clank prevents treasure drops and it would never play that late)
    seems like a pretty good card

    I haven’t watched the others but 1st run is the craziest I’ve seen yet. Second being the 6th pearl run where she got floor 2

    The reckless charge card appears to be extremely good. Its like a Pay2Win card but not ethereal. For the clank it generates, it's really worth it.

    in the "ravager in the crypt downstairs" run you could have backed up and gone not across the river but to the tnt room and then by the back door to the big table room (it is called the library)

      @@hypnotizd i mean that's what they do but the case is weird, three vexes go towards you, they all hit the water and they all miss by a mile while you're basically standing still, i wouldnt be surprised their pathing got somehow messed up there
