I love that you’re going back and pinpointing where you messed up, and that you show where willie is when it might not be clear for the audience. The white text commentary is really good and insightful as well!!
It's probably the best choice to farm level 2 since this will bring up your success rate and build your deck to make level 3 & 4 easier in the future for better runs.
i think it would make more sense if he ran deadly, camped at level 2 until max clank, and then go down to level 3. since there's basically no downside to being at max down there.
Completely disagree. Farming a level gives a few extra embers whereas going up a difficulty gives ~10 from the better artifact. The only difficulty in level 3 is that you return to level 2 with max clank which happens if you farm too. It's not harder and gives a higher reward.
@@shoppingforleaves3162 I disagree. When looking at level 3. Most of the time your at max clank when you leave. This makes levels 2 and 1 very difficult because of stuck revengers and vexs because of the water traps. Having a successful run on level 2 may give on average 5-10 less embers per run, but if hypno activates his reckless charge cards that's already paying for the price of going down a level. This is because they give 10 chances of an ember dropping. By going to level three, he limits the amount of time he can hunt for embers since he's very focused on just getting the keys and artifact to get to the next level. When hypno spends more time on level 2 he will be able to spend more time farming frost embers. Additionally, he now has three reckless charges in his deck, so he'll be able to easily hit at least 1 which easily pays for the difficulty in going down a floor. However, I do find level 3 very entertaining, but if you look at other hermits decks they are almost 1/3 bigger than his and I think sticking with level 2 is the best strat until he gets more cards to escape level 3 without having max clank.
The loses are just as entertaining to watch as the wins. Reckless Charge pretty much sums up this phase for Hypno. It's perfect. He'ss so good he went full circle and got reckless.
When farming lvl 2, i think a good strat after the drip leaf reckless charge shrieker is to go loop spider den then rusty room. If there is a rusty kit in spider den, then all is good; if not, there are a lot of drop points around the room and in the middle of that room. All the toots in the first run seem to indicate the embers were there

That's why Tango added the drop down to the first ember shop. Originally it was going to be just there when you exit but then he thought about Vex's chasing you and didn't want hermits to die after they'd finished the game. Tango had put sooo much thought into this game!!!

Tango should rename it to Hypno charge, with the audio "Shriek me!" Appreciate you dying on this hill for our entertainment, hoping the 2nd half of phase 4 goes better, rooting for you and your farming strategy
Lol the Berry Bush issue is NOT a reset timing issue but rather other hermits INSISTING on grabbing every single dang berry on the way out instead of just RUNNING TO THE EXIT especially when they already have like 5 berries and will have zero need of even more... THAT is why the close bushes always seem to be empty... you can tell this is the real issue by A) watching everyones runs and B) seeing the "output" chests for the "Death Room"... sooooooooooooooo many freaking berries collected!
Love the review & reflect approach you're taking to DO2. I'm sure you've heard this before, but on runs where you know you're going to level 2 how about sleeping through the night first? That would make Willie a bit less deadly.
Love that you go back through some of your runs and explain your thought process! That is really cool! Your videos are extremely enjoyable/entertaining to watch Thx!
For the lack of hazerd block carts you're doing realy great! although it may be worth to invest in those? Sinds it mest up your first (and other) run, this will also make farming easier with the new extra time.

yo! Hypno, Crazy episode this week. it looks like in the process of farming in floor 2 you already got many hazard block, IMO at that point in future run "just scrap the idea of farming" and get the artifact and skadoodle. Extra card/Totem still more valuable that 2 extra frost ember/crown 😅
Those were some intense and amazing runs. I saw it live and cheered, but now while seeing it the second time I was still at the edge of my seat. I like your strategy and I really hope it will pay off!

you know what could be a fun way to hide a secret? If there was a time limit where the entrance for the secret was open, so you would have to be very fast in the dungeon to be able to find it. But it could also be extremely hard to find, so might not be a thing
Thanks for uploading your failed runs Hypno, it really helps looking frame by frame your mistakes and your thought process behind your decisions. That helps you improve and us understand how it is like playing DO2. Uploading only successful runs is not fun imo
Man wireless redstone would have been incredible for Tango. For some things you can think it's just a time saver but in cases like Reckless Charge it would actually be a total game changer. Some shreakers are right next to the clank processor, others on the far side of the dungeon might take 2+ seconds for the signal to get all the way back. I imagine he probably set it so the furthest shreaker might only have 7.5sec of clearance while the close ones might have like 9.5sec. Some comments have suggested instant redstone lines for it... but could you imagine doing that for like 100 shreakers? That would be north of 50 hours of work, and they'd be noisy, and laggy, and take time to reset after each pulse.
In decked out level 2, at the far end of the bridge, underneath and slightly to the right of the bridge, there is a 1 block wide, 2 block tall gap in the stone wall, maybe there is an easter egg hidden back there in a tiny hidden room, but maybe there are custom maps on item frames, with the stone texture pattern, to make it look like there is nothing there. Those item frames might be placed on a door so that if you were to run into it, you would not go through, but you would have to right click to open the door, to get through. This way it would be extremely unlikely someone would accidently find it, and the hermits would really have to think outside the box to find it. I think Tango said a while back, something along the lines of, there would be like 3 or 4 easter eggs that would be near impossible for the hermits to find, and Tango would have to give them hints. It's just that a random 1 block, wide, 2 block tall gap in the wall seems suspicious.
Tango has been trying to find a good balance for the lvl 1 key issue, I think trading coins for a key would be a great way to balance it like you mentioned in the video. Being able to “buy” a key with 8 coins makes a lot of sense. It means you still have to search the dungeon for loot, and if you get no luck on a key drop, once you’ve collected 8 coins you could use that to buy a key, it gives you almost a guaranteed way to get a key if you are actively looking for treasure and only find coins, and also comes at a cost of loosing 2 crowns you could have taken out of the dungeon. Honestly seems like a great way to balance the whole issue of key luck and RNG
Personally I think after the loot limit is hit a guaranteed key spits out at the doors. Luck that bad needs to be a free reward given how bad it feels to have to survive that long generating clank and hazard.
Tango has vehemently said he has reasons for not doing a coin -> key trade, maybe it'd be different for inside the dungeon but I doubt it. Wishful thinking though.
@@thenightninja13The loot limit is supposed to be something so high that Tango doesn't expect hermits to hit it without trying (from his initial announcement about coin/shard limit) So while a good idea, it's unlikely to happen.
Reckless charge really feels like it's the king of Level 1 options, since it would potentially let you stack a huge amount of embers on relatively easy runs and grab a bunch of mid cost cards to fill out your deck.
When tread lightly popped up I thought the only logical thing to do was get block 4 hazard which would even out the +2 Hazard times two for the two reckless charges you had. But when you said we need to do it for the memes I was completely onboard for it.
There seems to be a lot of people telling you how to play. I hope you are having fun and however you want to play DO2 I will enjoy watching! Keep up the great work Hypno!
For the first death, I'd argue that assuming the ravager that got pulled to the lvl 2 entrance/exit wouldn't be there or see when going out was the bigger mistake, though not being topped on health obviously compounded the issue. Sure, that ravager couldn't be seen, but ravagers very rarely wander out of that room so assuming it would be around and a threat would be the better option. But hey, everyone makes mistakes, especially under pressure, and forget about stuff like that. Good runs anyway, though the greed is being a killer too.
Those 3 reckless charge cards are huge! I had a thought where you did a frost ember farming build and just do easy or normal so you don’t have to risk going deep into the dungeon. With about 10 cards that gives a lot of embers and block some clank and hazard to keep you alive, and the loot and scoot for treasure and speed. You can probably just stick with easy and farm for a while.
His 3 farming runs here got him 1, 2, and 1 extra embers. Easy artifacts are ~10 embers whereas deadly are 30-45. The farming is by no means worthwhile. Even if he proced 3 Reckless Charges, that's only 30 of which 15 will drop and only 5-10 will be found, at best. You would need 10+ on an easy run to buy any worthwhile cards at all and I'm not seeing anyone getting that many. Also, Tango is busy trying to make floor 3 harder so now is the time to do deadly.
I wonder if Hypno's sounds are high enough. It seems like he is either not hearing treasure/embers drop in his immediate vicinity. OR he's just ignoring it to preserve time/clank/hazard. For example, you can hear an ember drop in his first run (42) and you see it in the mushroom area the entire as he's waiting in drip leaf for reckless charge to play (6:24), but he doesn't go back for it. You can hear tons of treasure/embers dropping in the pirate ship as well, that one is understandable due to Willie guarding the way onto the pirate ship. It just feels like we are always hearing drops but he's not really searching the immediate areas that he is in. IDK, just an observation.
Hahahahahaha!!! "I think i can still make this jump, i saw Jevin do it." Lol Tangos gonna be so mad that he "fixed" that jump thats not supposed to be a jump and people are still getting past it without the intended Jump Boost... xD

You worked SO HARD during that last game! Good job!
Farming an annoying shrieker so Tango nerfs it is such a big brain play lmao
4:41 I can't get over the comedic timing of this part
For the lack of hazerd block carts you're doing realy great! although it may be worth to invest in those? Sinds it mest up your first (and other) run, this will also make farming easier with the new extra time.
You gotta stop being so hard on yourself. You’re an incredible player! You make mistakes because you’re human, but you are a very talented gamer! I can only speak for myself, but I love watching your runs!!
I'm just disappointed in the dumb mistakes I've made. However going back over the footage of the errors will help me to understand where I went wrong and hopefully help me to not make the same mistakes again!
Loving the post mortem analysis bits!
You buying that third Reckless Charge made my whole day lmao, thank you
Your DO2 uploads are by far the most entertaining, with your analysis. Aimbot Willie is keeping himself active. Good job to you both 👍
Those were some intense and amazing runs. I saw it live and cheered, but now while seeing it the second time I was still at the edge of my seat. I like your strategy and I really hope it will pay off!
the problem in the first run wasnt you not checking your health it was you still trying to take hits for no reason!
thank you for the on screen annotations! very helpful when watching on small screen
I've never watched your videos before DO2 even tho I've been following Hermitcraft since season 4, but you are amazing, I love the slow motion and analysis of your wins and losses, it's super interesting. I never comment but saw on r/hermitcraft that you were getting negative comment so I thought for once I'd comment and just say something nice ❤ I watch your DO2 runs while feeding baby late at night lol please keep doing more I love your videos!
you know what could be a fun way to hide a secret?
I live the little annotations Hypno puts in his DO videos.
Love watching your DO2 runs, Hypno!
The reckless charge has hypnotized you. You must get it.
Hypno that last run was epic!!! You had the same reaction as I did when I saw that Reckless Charge pop up in the shop. You can't *not* get it 😂😂
Come on Reckless Charge!!! Love your runs and am looking forward to see how those cards work for you in the next phase.
looks like from your secret spot a vine to get on backside of boat, good luck
Just wanted to say how much I'm enjoying your runs Hypno! Keep it up!
Hmmm I think I saw you post the same thing on a previous one of his videos or on one of cubs videos
@@thenightninja13The loot limit is supposed to be something so high that Tango doesn't expect hermits to hit it without trying (from his initial announcement about coin/shard limit)
So while a good idea, it's unlikely to happen.
I think Hypno is gonna give Tango an aneurysm with the reckless charge cards.
Reckless charge really feels like it's the king of Level 1 options, since it would potentially let you stack a huge amount of embers on relatively easy runs and grab a bunch of mid cost cards to fill out your deck.
I love your decked out runs. I never watched your videos but now I watch every single one
That Ember despawned right as you were talking about it xD
When tread lightly popped up I thought the only logical thing to do was get block 4 hazard which would even out the +2 Hazard times two for the two reckless charges you had. But when you said we need to do it for the memes I was completely onboard for it.
Our Sunday funday was watching you in decked out!! Thank you for giving us a great Sunday! The kid loves it and says Hi!!
There seems to be a lot of people telling you how to play. I hope you are having fun and however you want to play DO2 I will enjoy watching! Keep up the great work Hypno!
Very exciting stuff. I feel like the potential from the spider corridor and repair kits is vast
U will gain a lot of subscribers just because of ur decked out runs u are just amazing
What happens once decked out ends
@agathahearth I can only hope a few of these people stick around or check in on a video or two in the future. 🙂
I am loving these Decked Out Runs. Keep it up Hypno
That last run was EPIC. And this is the second time I’m watching it lol
"I think i can still make this jump, i saw Jevin do it."
Lol Tangos gonna be so mad that he "fixed" that jump thats not supposed to be a jump and people are still getting past it without the intended Jump Boost... xD
