After several weeks of watching various hermits completely master this dungeon, it's very weird seeing someone coming in and playing almost entirely blind
Decked Out is the content engine that keeps on giving. I love that it has had a life with creators beyond the hermitcraft season. Its so fun to watch other creators run it.
I love how you can tell he clearly did his homework on the mechanics of the game but is still mostly spoilter free so he can go into the game and explore/find out everything himself. Amazing content!
I would definitely recommend taking a peek at the redstone behind this game. Watching Tango build it was awe inspiring and he did an amazing job. It’s as big as the dungeon itself and really shows how much dedication he had to the game. If you want to see how a (now 2x) champion of the game goes about it, I’d highly recommend watching ethos decked out 2 videos. Watching you play this game after years of watching both you and etho was an insane collision of worlds. I hope you play more!!
@KettouRyuujin you can buy a lackey run, which means tango goes in with you and does whatever the player tells him to do, like collect coins or distract ravegers
I genuinely believe if Sparklez was in the running for the competition he would've been part of the group to win it all. Even in run 1 you could see his spatial awareness had him figure out the right half of level. Add to the fact he immediately figured out a strategy for dealing with the River of Souls in the glass panes and his overall skill with parkouring. He would've given Tango a headache from the amount of "shortcuts" I know he's gonna find as he plays
i cant believe sparkles got Etho'd (hazard door closed in his face) AND lost the berries to the stream in the same 5 minutes hahaha I love decked out, would love to watch more
Knowledge of the dungeon is a big factor. Thanks to watching the Hermits so much I know the ins and outs enough that after doing 1 easy run I was able to go straight up to medium and be fine. But it is refreshing to see someone who knows so little about the game playing it for the first time again.
This was not the crossover I was expecting but it most certainly was the crossover I needed. Sparklez you should get a hermit on with you in later installments! It’ll be a blast!
Decked out shows part of what the Hermits are known for. Tango says he is not a builder, but look at the outside build. Then the redstone involved. I would love to see his reaction of Doc's area. It would be very intimating for any one to actually be a part of Hermitcraft. Worrying about keeping up. Then there is the time factor. it takes a lot of time to do what they do. I think time is the biggest factor with most not joining Hermitcraft. I think Cap. could find his place in Hermitcraft, If he has the time to do it, but it would also take a bit of time to find his place. Before Hermitcraft, i would love to see him in the Life Series. It seems more his style and would give him a chance to get to know more Hermit\Empires players. I think that would be fun to watch.
I can’t comprehend the idea of Jardon in the Life series. It feels like he’s just a little too far outside that circle of people for him to be a natural inclusion.
Oh my God, Captain! That first run was legendary! Vexes and everything 🤯 Jordan’s innate sense of direction could make him learn this game much quicker than most.
I hadn't watched hermit craft for a couple of years now, but seeing this made me remember just how out of this world the hermits are. Most hermits are like this too and that's the astonishing thing. They are able to build this insane builds, all in survival.
The absolute luck of those last two hazard doors still being open at max clank in his first run that allowed him to not only bypass the worst Vex Killspot, but also skirt passed the Ravager he left behind without getting his face eaten was insane and I am so proud!
I did the math. I've watched 158 hours of Decked Out. Between Etho, Tango, and a little Hypno. I'm so glad that Twitch chat is there to add in the things that need to be said "The river of souls claims another victim". I died, it was perfect ❤
Duuude, completing a first run, especially with a clank that high is impressive AF. From what I've seen the hermits usually got discombobulated and lost track of where the exit was getting ravengered on their way out.
I've been watching Hermitcraft since season 1. I will never stop being impressed by Decked out 2. Tango is a genius, and Decked out 3 will be even better
if you knew how much Tango's chat appreciates every death in Decked Out, it would scare you. Every horrible way to die, every slab in your way, all the challenges, sharp edges and sharp teeth. Even the 'safe' stairwells are asymmetrical and unsettling. And legend has it that One Eyed Willy never sleeps.
Lmaooooo omg that was a great ending xD I think Hot Breath is Tango’s Cough reincarnated. (TC had the highest kill count in the first few phases; he lasted the longest out of the earlier ravagers.)
JARDON Sounds are VERY important. Always get berries. JUMP BOOST is the effect of the card Bounding Strides, Tango built a lot of the secrets and some game play around that mechanic. Good luck Keep up the great content
There's something fun about watching someone play Decked Out for the first time after watching various Hermits take on and thrive in the dungeon. It brings me back to when Decked Out 2 was first completed and everyone was crowding around the dungeon entrance waiting for their turn only to have the pants scared off them upon their first Ravager encounter
It’s all about learning the map, “map knowledge” and getting good at looping or pulling mobs to locations where you’d rather leave them to not interfere. Great times though watching other content creators play Decked Out! After the months of hard work Tango put into this, and personally view as a pinnacle of Minecraft. Especially content creators I’ve been introduced to through Hermits and I’m familiar with. ☺️
It's so cool to watch everyone play Decked Out 2 after watching Tango work on it for months! He worked really hard and spent so much time on it, it's nice to see him be appreciated 😄
For a first time player, I think thats pretty good actually. You picked up the map layout very quickly (of the parts you explored) and you had the right idea for ravager management. I would love to see you play more of this
This is so hype, I cannot believe I get MORE decked out content, this time from the OG! Can’t wait for more episodes, I watched decked out religiously.
If you don't know (and want more), HBomb94 has been streaming his way through it as well. Great player and having great fun and already on 12 streams worth and counting! Very very worth checking out for people who still want decked out
1. Go for a full clear of the dungeon as this series' goal. That is, uncovering the final secret of Level 4 2. There's a training room upstairs to practice ravager and trident juking 3. Maybe do a tour of the rest of the server, there are some really amazing projects
Hello Jordan! I was super happy to see you give this wonderful map a try and I wanted to give you some answers to the questions that didn't get answered on stream. Hopefully, you or members of your community who don't know much about Decked Out can find this useful. I will try to just give information and not 100% backseat the game! Q1: Level system in Decked Out? A1: As you saw there are 5 levels in the dungeon. The level affects where the artifact can be found as well as the difficulty of the spot. Here's a quick breakdown: -Easy: Level 1 spots close to entrance 100% -Medium: Level 1 spots far from entrance 50%, spots close to Level 2 entrance 50% -Hard: Level 2 spots far from entrance 50%, Level 3 spots close (usually top or middle) to entrance 50% -Deadly: Level 3 spots far (usually middle or bottom) from entrance 50%, Level 4 spots close to entrance 50% -Deepfrost: Level 4 far from entrance 50% Q2: Sneaking/Shifting in Dungeon and Toggle shift? A2: Early on it's definitely best to sneak throughout the dungeon, especially in levels 3 & 4 with wardens. However, once you learn the locations of the sculk sensors that cause clank, you only need to shift near them. Toggle shift is 100% the player's choice. Q3: Deck Building basics? A3: This could warrant a whole video, but I'll be brief. You build your deck based on the type of player you want to be. Do you want to take your time in the dungeon? Then pick cards that block clank and hazard. Do you want to loot everything the dungeon has to offer? Then pick treasure cards. Do you want to get a full deck ASAP? Then pick frost ember based cards. Q4: Point of "Coinage"? A4: I will admit the Crowns are probably the most useless part of Decked Out for single players. They were used to buy more shards when the Decked Out tournament was being held. They still have some use now since you can use them to buy Etheral cards and keys that you can bring into the dungeon if you don't want to risk not finding one during runs to lower levels. Q5: When am I ready for X Level? A5: This is up to personal choice. A good rule of thumb is if you are leaving the dungeon with cards in your deck, then you can start focusing on harder levels. The longer you are in the dungeon, the more clank is generated, so you need to prep for that. Q6: Difficult Compass Locations? A6: Hot Breath's crypt is definitely a struggle to get through. I would recommend taking Hot Breath to the TNT area and ditching it there. It makes it harder for it to path find and you will have free reign of the crypt to find your artifact. I also wanted to leave you with a tip! Saturation is hugely important in this game. You are allowed to eat 1 golden carrot before you start your run. I highly recommend doing that so you don't need to waste berries early on. I hope you try Decked Out again! It was wonderful to watch you give it a shot! I hope these answers were a little helpful!
What people fail to realize is that it’s not that he doesn’t have the skill to beat decked out. It’s the map knowledge. It’s very difficult to win and be successful if you have no idea of the how the map layout is and reputation of playing to be successful
decked out is a minecraft redstone engineering masterpiece. i still remember the days of the first version. it has really come into its own since then.
Love everything about this. The fact that round one he had to pick of shame and the berry bush river yonk!😆 The berries in the river idk y but it has always been my fav things on any of the runs
I am so excited for your series of this. One of the coolest things ever. One of my favorites Minecraft RUclipsrs, and from my childhood, playing a legendary project from another of my favorites. It's like watching Daryl Hall play music with other legendary musicians.
watching vault runs already stresses me out, watching decked out runs always somehow stresses me out more lmao. Should talk to Iskall about how not to play, he knows all about it
It's adorable to see him learning all this from scratch. It's been a while since I've seen someone young in the ways of Decked-Out. Keep persisting Cap! You're already learning so much!
Then again, the Dungeon Master wasn't specifically trying to _help_ anyone unless they were actually stuck in some way (Impulse's "verticality" comes to mind).
Watching how quickly he begins talking to the dungeon and ravagers is beautiful. There really is one single braincell while playing Decked Out 2, and it's reserved for making rivalries with specific ravagers.
I hope you keep playing Decked Out 2. Keep in mind, its a rogue-lite. Its meant to be difficult when you first start out because you're building knowledge of the dungeon and mechanics, but eventually you'll get better and better every run. My number one tip for you is learn how to manipulate the ravagers and where they need to go.
Oh, and set a goal for yourself so it guides your progression. I think some good goals are: build a deck of 40 cards, experience every level, solve the big decked out mystery, collect every artifake, find all easter eggs, acquire 80 embers in one run. Good luck King.
This needs to be your new playlist: Searching the depths of the dungeon.. it would be cool for you to find the Easter eggs in the final: deepfrost level
As a huge fan of Hermitcraft and have been following the Decked Out development from the beginning, it's really cool to see another creator I love diving into it like you are. Thank you for the content Sparklez!
Sparkles you're the only one playing so therefore you've gotta lead the ravagers to where you want them to be. It's not hard I promise just juke them through the halls
Iskall’s first couple of HC episodes in which he ran Decked Out he did pretty good, actually! But yeah, he didn’t have the time to play due to VH and as the phases went on, it’s nearly impossible to catch up in points if you weren’t consistently getting points each phase. Hugely recommend Etho’s first Decked Out episodes if you want to see a Dungeon Master at work. He was incredible from the beginning for the first 6 phases, has a struggle through 7. Then did amazing (such an understatement) in the last few phases.
thanks so much for playing tango's amazing game and gifting us with more of the newbie experience, it's some of the most fun when it comes to decked out 2.
Spoiler, help involving dungeon L1 (for difficulty 1 and some of 2) read if you wish. Some tips are Grain built a training area upstairs to help. There are a fixed amount of artifact locations roughly remember where the ones you find are you might go back there. there is a bookcase door in the castle basement area. Towards the left side back. Basement is alright for treasure Ravengers for the most part require line of sight to aggro. The roundabout towards the upstairs left is a good point to ditch it
My favorite streamer playing my favorite thing ever created in Minecraft? I need more immediately. I very much hope you continue the series until you beat decked out! (Yes, there is an official way to beat it)
This was amazing, you actually did great first run i was SHOCKED. Then i saw the others and was like "yup, thats more like it" lol. Still amazing runs. Gonna watch the second ep now. Was in the middle of this one when that was uploaded l
don't be too hard on yourself man, there were a lot of hermit deaths on day 1, iirc only two of them survived their first run, I think you're doing great, can't wait to see you use dungeon knowledge, and a bigger deck to do even better next time, gl!
There should be no more than two in any given zone. I don't know if he's moved Skadoodles on Level 2 though--if not he may have the problem Pearl found in the world download where there are three on the lava side and only one in the mushrooms.
35:40 approaching "random" jump scare. Tango suggested Jump Scare would happen every 20 runs (or so) first established its happening on the 4th run of the download.
This is normal, and expected play for starting the learning curve. You've got a good sense of object permanence, and direction, so it won't take you as long as some Hermits to get fairly decent at finding your way around. Like others have told you, sneaking is key. It may take a fair while to get from one area to the next, but it keeps the danger levels down for as long as you are willing to be patient with the process. 😉 The Hermit I spent time watching was Impulse, and trust me; his main takeaway from the advice of others was that it takes patience to be able to advance deeper into the lower levels. It was hard for him to take the time to learn to stick to sneaking, but he started getting the hang of it toward the end, even if it will take a while yet for that particular skill to be mastered. 😂 The skulk shriekers specifically can cause the most problems if you don't learn where in each area to be extra cautious, but that knowledge will be a matter of experience.
After several weeks of watching various hermits completely master this dungeon, it's very weird seeing someone coming in and playing almost entirely blind
comparing Jordan’s to some of the hermit’s first runs he did pretty well
I'm just happy for more decked out content 😂
It's wierd watching having never seen anything about it like I thought it was all about building
And succeeding first try
@@JellyJenkins500hermitcraft has insane buildings, crazy redstone contraptions, super fun games, lots of stories and overall fantastic people

Pearl as well. It is fun
If you think Etho obliterated the dungeon you should watch Pearl !
You should invite a hermit, maybe iskall, and play together for a special episode once you have learnt the dungeon a bit more
I'd love to see a Pearl and Sparkles episode.
It would be a pain because they all have different time schedules iskall hardly streams in the afternoon.
he has to buy a dungeon master tooken for that XD
I dont think Iskall played much decked out
Maaaybe Tango himself? I don't' see why not.
Calling Etho “washed up guy” made me cackle so much

I love how this is exactly how the first hermits played.
Scared and confused at first.
better, even. considering most hermits died on their first time

Decked Out 2 is the greatest creation in Minecraft survival of all time and it’s not even close. Glad to see you playing
At 56:30 he looks at the compass and can immediately tell where in the dungeon it was pointed. That’s some impressive spacial awareness.
Does not need compass school
To be fair "Hot Breath's domain" isn't that small.
But yeah it was still impressive.
Honestly, most hermits have awful spatial awareness. Seems like the younger hermits were definitely better when it came to that.
An "impeccable sense of direction", as he might say.
If you play more decked out, it would be really fun if you could somehow get tango to do a lackey run with you on your private server
Lackey run?
@KettouRyuujin you can buy a lackey run, which means tango goes in with you and does whatever the player tells him to do, like collect coins or distract ravegers

Then again, the Dungeon Master wasn't specifically trying to _help_ anyone unless they were actually stuck in some way (Impulse's "verticality" comes to mind).
You did very well for your first time, and I definitely enjoyed your suffering a bit more than I'm supposed to. 😅
If things are weird/missing: it was probably Grian.

Hope & Despair... The genuine *_Decked Out_* experience :D
Watching how quickly he begins talking to the dungeon and ravagers is beautiful. There really is one single braincell while playing Decked Out 2, and it's reserved for making rivalries with specific ravagers.
I want to see him go into spectator mode and see all the behind-the-scenes it would be hilarious.
I am beyond excited to see you start playing this.
Watching Decked Out again from a newbies perspective is so much fun. ❤
"Endgame is the greatest crossover in history"
This video:
Then did amazing (such an understatement) in the last few phases.
thanks so much for playing tango's amazing game and gifting us with more of the newbie experience, it's some of the most fun when it comes to decked out 2.
bro what do you even say to this, both of my favorite youtubers from different stages of my life in the same video. Also "#1" cant wait for more
Would love to see jardon play this enough that he gets to level 3 or 4
THE CAPTAIN IS PLAYING TANGOS CREATION!!!!! This is amazing, hey cap do a video of the hermits world since you have the world download.
No way, Sparky is playing Decked out ... I was dreaming about this for a months ! :D Nice :O
Now that I think about it, Decked Out is a lot like Lethal Company. Jordan should be well trained 🤪
Woohoo!! I was hoping you would get to play this!!
Spoiler, help involving dungeon L1 (for difficulty 1 and some of 2) read if you wish.
Some tips are
Grain built a training area upstairs to help.
There are a fixed amount of artifact locations roughly remember where the ones you find are you might go back there.
there is a bookcase door in the castle basement area. Towards the left side back.
Basement is alright for treasure
Ravengers for the most part require line of sight to aggro.
The roundabout towards the upstairs left is a good point to ditch it
My favorite streamer playing my favorite thing ever created in Minecraft? I need more immediately. I very much hope you continue the series until you beat decked out! (Yes, there is an official way to beat it)
Nice. You should definitely run this with one of the Hermits
I always wondered if jardon would join the hermits if given the opportunity, this is my slight teaser to that idea 🤣
He's played on the server before
@@SonOfMutahe has? When?
Oh he has? When was that I wanna look at that
He started with less cards than the hermits. Did tango modify the start deck for balance?
@@chadrussell1221No. the starter deck was also 3 cards for the hermits. In fact this starter deck was made based on that
I'd love to see the captain join hermit craft for at least 1 season as a guest
This was amazing, you actually did great first run i was SHOCKED. Then i saw the others and was like "yup, thats more like it" lol. Still amazing runs. Gonna watch the second ep now. Was in the middle of this one when that was uploaded l
after seeing tango sacrifice so much time for this game, im so glad that everyone can play it now!
don't be too hard on yourself man, there were a lot of hermit deaths on day 1, iirc only two of them survived their first run, I think you're doing great, can't wait to see you use dungeon knowledge, and a bigger deck to do even better next time, gl!
"there's two of them??" oh that's adorable. he thinks there's just two.
There should be no more than two in any given zone. I don't know if he's moved Skadoodles on Level 2 though--if not he may have the problem Pearl found in the world download where there are three on the lava side and only one in the mushrooms.
Yay! Love seeing the captain play this. I have been watching Grian play since it came out. Love to see you back for this video!
every successful run is a good run sir, very well first run!
WOAH, I never thought I'd see Captain Sparklez play Decked Out 2 :0
This gotta be the coolest crossover Jardon ever done in a while.
This is making me so nostalgic for when DO2 first opened. This is exactly how it went :D
35:40 approaching "random" jump scare.
Tango suggested Jump Scare would happen every 20 runs (or so)
first established its happening on the 4th run of the download.
Whoa! Worlds colliding between my favourite minecraft RUclipsrs!
The Hermit I spent time watching was Impulse, and trust me; his main takeaway from the advice of others was that it takes patience to be able to advance deeper into the lower levels. It was hard for him to take the time to learn to stick to sneaking, but he started getting the hang of it toward the end, even if it will take a while yet for that particular skill to be mastered. 😂
The skulk shriekers specifically can cause the most problems if you don't learn where in each area to be extra cautious, but that knowledge will be a matter of experience.
