Whether you win doesn't really matter. The high risk, high reward strategy you have already makes the runs more interesting than the hermits who win more but play it safe and stay at level 1
i believe just from viewer perspective, if you watch every hermit decked out you know the first floor too much. i cant even look now for easy runs. Pearl clean runs was actually fine aha hope she show us more of floor 2
Out of all the Hermits, I think you’re the best at Decked Out! You have way more awareness of your surroundings, your map knowledge is excellent, and your understanding of the game mechanics is top notch.
a tru gamer and not just a minecrafter :P the best part is how many times he has broken the game or found unintentional exploits compared to other hermits
Hypno, you've been the leader of Decked Out discovery - you've found more easter eggs than any other hermit, as well as been among the earliest to see new floors and zones. It's been incredible to watch, and you haven't let anyone down. Discovery, even with death, is VERY interesting and entertaining. I also think it'll lead to you having more success later than other hermits who are slower to find what you have.
Pretty sure those slabs were changed because Tango had to fix evoker visibility in the area. The vex were coming out too quickly so he changed some things for line of sight. You're not crazy, they did change. Just not for parkour
23:35 Loot reactivates on the first floor when you click the button to open the door to come back to the first floor! Tango just clarified this in a recent stream when Etho asked him. The only thing it can't handle is going back and forth between the two floors multiple times is what Tango said.
SAME OH MY GOD. For some reason literally every hermit ignores the entrance to the Golem Lab in level 2, they dont even look down the hole they just run around it and never go in. Finally some answers
The slabs at 29:09 were added by Tango I think because he had put a Powdered Snow block with nothing blocking it and Pearl went through it, out of the game. Maybe it's at another spot and I'm mistaken. Don't mind regardless.
I haven’t watched Hypno enough, and I have to say I’m loving all the decked out runs. Your editing on the runs with the small touches like the countdown timers for reckless charge make it easier to watch, keep it up!
I love seeing how Etho gets greedy and sometimes regrets it, while Hypno has set his mind on getting everywhere first, and sometimes gets distracted from getting out alive.
Secret Master, ooh Secret Master... I have a feeling there are secrets... A) Depth Charge area, theres a swimming tunnel that goes down, up, and down again with a couple turns and im 99.99999% sure theres something worth while down there. P.s. if i remember right from construction times, the swimming tunnel should be achievable with nearly a full oxygen bar, so you gotta be quick or youll drown. But it is do-able B) Circular dead end room left of the Kneeling Man Statue room, Joe calls it the "pizza oven room". I havent seen anyone check the Middle decoration, it looks like a bed or something, might be quartz but could be P.Snow or something. C) theres a button up in the dead end room to the right of the stairs going up towards the Kneeling Man Room, theres a jump boost only area that usually has treasures, theres a button... im fairly certain that button opens a door below, back down the stairs and down again into the Crypt. Theres a blackstone wall that totally looks like a piston door. Possible secret? Pearl has hit said button but i dont think she checked down below and certainly not quick enough. Tango has said there are 2 missing Easter Eggs on Level 1 still undiscovered. There isnt much left to explore except deciphering some possible puzzles or exploring those couple paths no one has taken yet.
So, I recall Tango saying that he felt people were advancing through the dungeon much more quickly than he anticipated. I'm sure that's why he's increased the challenges, nerfed things, etc. With the way these runs have been ending, I wonder whether it would be a good idea to scale back to Medium, with the hope of building up your deck a bit more before continuing at Hard difficulty? Of course, you're probably in the running for extra shards this week, so maybe it'll balance out. Anyway, thanks for sharing your fun with us 8^)
You are most definitely NOT letting us down! It's amazing to see a Hermit take chances and explore so much, because every corner in there has been considered and through your adventures we get to see so much of it! It would not surprise me if you'll be the first one to go to the fourth level, or at least be the reason for finding the easter eggs to open it up! You are amazing and I love watching all your Decked Out runs, even when you don't get out ❤
Decked Out is the Dark Souls of Minecraft. Seeing the Level 2 gameplay of most hermits would make me never want to leave Level 1; I know it would take me forever to make any progress.
I really like how you convey the information of your Decked Out 2 runs, it's clear that you have a deep understand of the mechanics. I feel that I've learnt more about the game in one video of yours than in all of other hermit's videos I've watched lol (no shaming them ofc)
man, your deck i think does a great job both showing how POWERFUL an aggro strategy can be (the number of embers you pick up in any one run is NUTS) and in showing its weaknesses (the number of deaths you're taking to clank or hazard is fairly high). that, and maybe aggro has another downside: your greed is the death of you more than once, haha. extremely excited also to see the rusty repair kit used! that's so cool! winning or not, your runs are still some of the most complete explorations of the dungeon, so they're a joy to watch!
I thought the repair kit would have something to do with that Golem because when Grian built that room Tango mentioned he wanted a Golem players could repair, but it's so cool to see what it gives you for the repair, I was wondering what would happen, that's worth the 3 crowns for the mystery item for sure.
Quote me when I say that Decked Out 2 is the greatest thing to happen to HermitCraft only competed with Grian entering in Season 6. Decked Out 2 has introduced me to SO many hermits I probably would never have watched previously. Originally I'd only ever watch Grian, Mumbo, Iskall and Scar, but now I'm watching pretty much everyone, especially Pearl and Hypno. Thank you so much Tango
Those deep level 2 runs are looking pretty challenging for every Hermit! Hopefully you can get some early wins in phase 3 with all the info gained from these unsuccessful runs. Absolutely loving the Decked Out content!
I think the slabs are just tango's safety barriers of extreme bravery for when he makes changes to the dungeon, so ravagers can't reach him. If they are that he just forgot to remove it afterwards
15:00 I hope during editing, you'll notice that there is a solid mossy stone type of pillars/landings added in, that one could use to return back, and not use those stupid jerk, vine headed leaves type of things.
I enjoy his runs, win or loss. Yes I would like for Hypno to get more loot and see what kind of deck he would build, but having sadly skipped a load of Tangos building-videos, because I did not want to know to much in advance I like exploring Decked Out through these videos. Not to mention I like his style in edeting and comenting.
IIRC, the shriekers are enabled/disabled by a pulse from an observer looking at a sapling at each station, so I don't think there's any way for a bug to cause more or less shriekers to be active. Must really just have been bad luck??
@@Mogeli okay, but there is something that stops shreikers from activating whether it be random or because of a recent change or something idk, it just seems like he wasn’t getting shreikers when we know there were shreikers there
*Hypno:* Why didn't the glow squid save me? *Me:* Ironically, he's not very bright. *1st Run Hypno:* __ 😆 Rusty Repair Kit! I figured it was to be used regarding an iron golem, but I was _hoping_ (and I should have known better) that you would place the repair kit in something and it would free an Iron Golem onto the level to fight the ravagers. Now, how long until _all_ the Hermits 'discover' what the repair kit is for? 🤔
Hypno! Do NOT feel bad about the failed runs. I have watched nearly all of DO2 from everyone and while others fail about as much as you have been, they do it on level 1 and rarely level 2 with zero exploration nor investigation. Meanwhile your failed runs have been super valuable even if you walked out as a "ghostly failure" because you explored and investigated for secrets, you sacrificed loot for extremely vaulable knowledge multiple times... thats FAR FAR FAR better than failing on runs of low value and low risk to silly things any day of the week. Honestly you have pushed further and scoured far more of the Dungeon as a whole than any other hermit has, Pearl is close but not nearly as much as you have. So dont feel bad about the multiple failures, youre doing just fine. Plus dont forget that since you didnt pull as many embers out of the dungeon this phase you might get more than 8 shards in Phase3
13:13 It does! Every clank generated beyond max clank has a chance to unsheathe each evoker. However, it's not obvious whether you generate more clank from shriekers or the extra stumbles that will be drawn if you're constantly sneaking and taking longer to get out. 20:22 You're probably right. I tried to look for how Tango did those because he claimed they wouldn't change during a run, but the only snippets I managed to find where he shows them he does not show any system to disable the random toggling mid-run.
Ahhh man.. finishing the rest of this video today after learning Tango’s Cough died in a stream makes the deaths to that ravager a bit less fun. Tango’s Cough was such a legendary ravager from the launch of DO I think lots of people think so, didn’t know I’d be so sad about s ravager dying lol!
Honestly the run with your facecam on is so entertaining! Your are so expressive and so if your face during that run, I think it'd be great fun for you to do more of them in the future!
Reckless charge: it appears to me that you set off hardly any shriekers while run and jumping but loads when walking or running. I wonder if the shriekers are surrounded by wool and as your jumping you have more chance of missing them? Each time reckless charge comes in you start jumping around and think this is why your missing it. Worth some testing. If this is the case, it’s better just to run only when trying to get the shriekers.
your runs are so great becuase of the randomness of the Reckless Charge, your incredible game knowledge, and the fact that your strategy seems to be, get all the Frost Ember and Treasure at the beginning then speedrun through lvl 2 and 3 to get your artifact. which leaves you with very little clank block for post artifact running
I’ve only watched a few of your episodes, but I’m definitely rooting on you winning, you definitely seem to be the most attentive and smart compared to the other hermits in decked out
Love the timing on the first run. Hypno: Sooo we need to find ourselves a key, we don’t have a treasure card that has been pla- Decked Out: TREASURE HUNTERR!!!
20:20 Shriekers actually stay consistent the whole run. They are randomly chosen at the start of each run but don't change throughout the run. You're probably hearing hazards be activated!
The reason Hypno set of more shriekers off then the other run Tango revealed today on Stream it is random on what ones and how many are on so the Hermits can't learn where they are to avoid which is super smart
My money is on you winning decked out- by expanding your deck and exploring deeper into the levels than most hermits at the beginning will give you such an edge closer to the end when everyone is in a mad rush for tomes. You'll be getting higher rewards than everyone else due to your advanced map knowledge and skill, and therefore more tomes.
14:00 I understand why Tango is so upset with the Vex AI. This makes zero sense… not that I want Hypno to die here, but he should’ve… At this point, One-eyed Willy is by far more dangerous then any Vex I’ve seen so far in decked out 2…
Hazard also contributed to your deaths on level 2. There hazard is just less obvious. It's the paths that are suddenly only passable by 2 high jumps, it's the parkour that is suddenly harder, etc.
i've been watching all your decked out vids and it's lovely to see your face! I always think seeing people's faces makes them feel more real/like a regular person. Good luck on the following weeks!
11:18 that parkour has 2 modes, the hazard blocked mode, which is what you found on most of your previours runs, and there is the easy mode where the pistons are extended and you dont have to worry about the dripleaves haha. It was on easy mode this time but ig you didnt notice since you are used to the hazard blocked mode.
I can't wait till Hypno realizes he has a speedrunner deck since he has little to no defense. I would recommend doing Mediums, or even Easy runs, until he has more Clank and Hazard Block
That run 23, Hypno went into panic brain. Looked at embers in the river room twice in the corner... And was taking hazard paths when the normal path was still active
The rusty repair kit was so smart and those rewards are so good. I'm glad someone figured it out cause I was so curious! I thought it had something to do with the doors lol
After decked out started, I started watching Hypno, and wow, he is so good at making videos! I can’t wait for every new episode! I’m definitely subscribing, and here’s to hoping he hits 400k soon!
LETS GO!!! What a reward! I was totally NOT expecting 4 ember 4 crown 2 coin from that Rusty Repair Kit... absolutely insane!!! Might be worth keeping an eye out for repair kits and making a beline for Rusty.
Yay! Somehow I knew it'd be Hypno to figure out the Rusty Repair Kit (I'm probably not alone there). I was also expecting him to wear a black bandana IRL, like the Dread Pirate Roberts....Oh well. 1/2 ain't bad.
It is always interesting seeing someone's face for the first time you only know by their voice. No matter what they look like they never look like what I expect, lol.
@hypnotizd , I thought of an interesting strategy. You could catch fish and then fry them on the campfire. I have asked Tango, and he said there is no rule against it, if you want to take the time to do that. Just a idea I had. Great runs. I can't get enough!
I feel like with your playstyle the "Porkchop Power" card might work well for you! Sadly its ethereal, but maybe out of every 5 runs you could have a way to replenish all that health. One Eyed Willy has really racked up his KD ratio! lol
In the last runs not only did you find the way to another easter egg, you also found out what the repair kits are for, wouldn't exactly call that letting the viewers down. Lots of progres in understanding the dungeon.
The whiplash of going from a run with almost no shrieker going off to every single shrieker going off is mind-boggling
Right? No shriekers was very jarring!
Shieker radomisers be randoming wildly sometimes 😂

It's gonna hit pretty hard if he doesn't finish at the top then
It does matter, because you won't get better cards and survive deeper levels if you don't win
this is for the hermit’s enjoyment too so
with 5 free extra runs (nearly double everyone else) that's the minimun i expected
14:00 omg I thought Tango was exaggerating a little on the Vex being stupid but these Vex literally just stared at you and did... nothing. 😂❤
Maybe it was on a diet or shy? Don't judge them to hard 😉😁

First time watching a Hypno vid w/ the face cam included. Your face matches your voice. Both are friendly.
That was such a fun run at the end!! I can't wait for all the secrets in that room!
27:44 We are all on the same page! 😂❤
Spent the better part of two years watching Tango streams. The stairwells between levels are safe zones. No shriekers.
24:18 well, you could track back to the key room to take another path
That run 23, Hypno went into panic brain. Looked at embers in the river room twice in the corner... And was taking hazard paths when the normal path was still active
Really appreciate your thought process as you narrate your way through the dungeon
Love these runs. We can tell you're having fun, so we're having fun.
Way back Tango used to call Golems, “Rusty”. GG’s Hypno 🎉
Tbh even the failed runs are still really fun to watch! Also very cool finally learning what the rusty repair kit is for
Hypno.. your view spike is looking good. He needs to take advantage of the new viewership. Very excited for you!
@hypnotizd , I thought of an interesting strategy. You could catch fish and then fry them on the campfire. I have asked Tango, and he said there is no rule against it, if you want to take the time to do that. Just a idea I had. Great runs. I can't get enough!
I love this decked out runs. Please continue to upload full decked out runs
I missed this!! Glad I'm finally catching up again! The amount of DO content is insane and I'm loving every second.
Loving the runs. Doesn’t matter if you win or lose
I’m so glad we had the face cam for that reaction ! Dang!
love seeing the map through your eyes, win or lose.
Sneaking to avoid setting off shrackers at max clank does help as additional clank overflows into hazard procs
Win or lose, no matter it’s absolutely great entertainment. Thanks Hypno
I feel like with your playstyle the "Porkchop Power" card might work well for you! Sadly its ethereal, but maybe out of every 5 runs you could have a way to replenish all that health. One Eyed Willy has really racked up his KD ratio! lol
Great vid, Hypno. Discovering all the secrets is a fun watch.
In the last runs not only did you find the way to another easter egg, you also found out what the repair kits are for, wouldn't exactly call that letting the viewers down. Lots of progres in understanding the dungeon.
