    all i wanted to learn DGS i thought it was cool and i clicked this video. it was great, i did NOT expect to see them kiss! 😱😍I THOUGHT IT WAS SO CUTE!

    This is so cool. I want to learn both sign languages since I'm learning German and the signs seem to make things easier. It would be great to be an interpreter or English teacher as well in spoken or sign.

    Ich bin Amerikaner der fürs Studium in Deutschland wohnt, aber ich möchte im Zukunft wieder nach USA. Welche Art von Gebärdensprache würdet ihr mir empfehlen?
    Echt süßes Video, die Kuss am Ende hat mich total überrascht und ich müsste nur lächeln :D

    I noticed that German has a lot of very similar signs to the ASL equivalent. Does GSL have any relation to French sign language like ASL does? I would assume so, because the countries border each other, and honestly, the fact that ASL has any French origins is an amazing story, but I'm still curious. Thanks for the video! 😀

      Yes as far as I know that there are many words coming from frensh. E.g. we sign the F-hand down for son [Sohn] (twice for daughter [Tochter]) which was explaint to me comes from fils (son in frensh).
      Germany repressed the sign language very much, much more than France, so may be thats why.

      Yeah, our little stunt with eugenics definitely messed up the development of a truly German sign language

    "Wasser" and "Bitch" are pretty similar or even identical. I'm not that fluent.. but I'm quite confident when I say it's the same sign?

    Curious fact: the "feier" sign DGS and the "person" sign in BSL(LIBRAS) are really alike.

    I don't know why I'm learning GSL as I am an EA in Canada... Ich lerne Deutsch. Ich Liebe Deutschland... o.O Deutsche Sprache, Schwere Sprache.

    I feel dumb, but didn’t know canadians (anglos I’m guessing) use ASL. Is it the same in both countries?

      Haha, I was just thinking the same. I mean, there's asl and bsl even though the spoken language is both english, but it seems as if Canada also uses asl. Good to know.

      @@karlmall No, Québécois use LSQ (Langue de Signes Québécoise). Though they aren't mutually intelligible, there are still some similarities between LSQ and ASL. :)

      There is no universal sign language, but there is an international sign language that combines a lot of sign languages into a sort of lingua franca that deaf people from different countries can use to communicate with each other!

      You can always revise the speed in the video to the lowest speed.
