This is so cool. I want to learn both sign languages since I'm learning German and the signs seem to make things easier. It would be great to be an interpreter or English teacher as well in spoken or sign.

I was so surprised when I saw they were both in the same place! 🤣I was like "Oh, she's gonna miss someone off camera? Wait, WHAT??" It was great to see the two languages compared. Thank you!
Wait... Lady's... How you you are talking then if she talks English Asl and German Asl? How you understand? Rest just super cool.. It exist a internațional Signs Alfabet?
I noticed that German has a lot of very similar signs to the ASL equivalent. Does GSL have any relation to French sign language like ASL does? I would assume so, because the countries border each other, and honestly, the fact that ASL has any French origins is an amazing story, but I'm still curious. Thanks for the video! 😀
Yes as far as I know that there are many words coming from frensh. E.g. we sign the F-hand down for son [Sohn] (twice for daughter [Tochter]) which was explaint to me comes from fils (son in frensh). Germany repressed the sign language very much, much more than France, so may be thats why.
@@tinkbell4153 "why is there so little history behind something for disabled in Germany?" Well the 30s/40s happened 😬 Yeah, our little stunt with eugenics definitely messed up the development of a truly German sign language
Haha, I was just thinking the same. I mean, there's asl and bsl even though the spoken language is both english, but it seems as if Canada also uses asl. Good to know.
@@karlmall No, Québécois use LSQ (Langue de Signes Québécoise). Though they aren't mutually intelligible, there are still some similarities between LSQ and ASL. :)
There is no universal sign language, but there is an international sign language that combines a lot of sign languages into a sort of lingua franca that deaf people from different countries can use to communicate with each other!
@@Wrenrosen and how common is that universal language? or lets say if i only learned the universal language would most deaf people understand me? kinda like english?

I don't know why I'm learning GSL as I am an EA in Canada... Ich lerne Deutsch. Ich Liebe Deutschland... o.O Deutsche Sprache, Schwere Sprache.
Why my dumbass wondering where the video sound was ☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠ i figured maybe music but then i was like waiiit.... my bad ☠☠
"Wasser" and "Bitch" are pretty similar or even identical. I'm not that fluent.. but I'm quite confident when I say it's the same sign?
The bloopers are too cute 😊
I am very happy to be able to learn more. You make a beautiful team together.
As someone who has been learning German for years and is very interested in ASL I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this video. Danke
Ok asl gewinnt eindeutig. Hätte gleich internationale standardgebärdensprache sein können
The end got me confused 😂

Her sign for bathroom is cool, she showed a WC with her hand and it's the sign we have for a toilette in Germany
So awesome 🤩!!!

They probably both know each others language...
Wow even in sign language Germans have much less expression. No hate comments please - I speak fluent German!!
Glad I watched this before I showed my child.
Terrible video, your going way to fast. Can't learn anything from the video.
You can always revise the speed in the video to the lowest speed.
Awww. You guys are cute 😍❣️
Amaaaaazing! ❤️

I legit thought I was watching 2 people in 2 places at first (split screen) That caught me off guard when they cross lmfao
So good to see people smiling a lot when speaking signs XD I am learning GSL for a new friend I made. I am really enjoying it, its fun
This is so great! 😭 Why is this your only videooo?
We are planning on creating more later. :) Stay tuned
Curious fact: the "feier" sign DGS and the "person" sign in BSL(LIBRAS) are really alike.
I feel dumb, but didn’t know canadians (anglos I’m guessing) use ASL. Is it the same in both countries?

Wow I didn't even know that there are differences. I was hoping it was a universal language. Now I think it's kinda sad.
Same here, thought there was only ASL and BSL. It's kind of frustrating
