I don't know if I'll become orthodox, but this stuff is absolutely fascinating to me! 😊
Great Video!
I don't agree with everything EO teaches, but one thing you guys have done very well is architecture, vestments, and the preservation of liturgical worship. The newer Protestant denominations could benefit from sitting with the EO and asking "what are you doing, and why?" They could at least incorporate some of the style and procedures. As it is, the main people who benefit from the drums and guitars are the people playing the drums and guitars. It's so cheap, and ugly.

@@OrthodoxLoner It does matter.
I agree whole heartedly
Yes ! I would stand there watching the band pour it all out and I got nothing . I watched how talented the musicians were. How cute the girls looked . I was totally awash in worldly thoughts.
@@SteelMaceNationPodcast Yea same here. When my dad made me go to the youth group, I would end up focusing on the girls. Some of the songs could just as easily be sung to a girl, or about a girl, since they don't mention God or Jesus, and often have romantic overtones. I mean, "I want to know you, I want to see your face, I want to know you more. In the stillness of a quiet place, I want to know you more." Seriously, what is wrong with some people? For goodness sakes.
WELL DONE ALL GLORY TO THEE OH LORD THE ORTHODOX CHURCH SHALL PREVAIL

It’s a system of works. It’s not what the gospels of salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone found in the Bible. St. Paul, or any 12 apostles not once mentioned icons, Mary as a necessity for salvation, 7 sacraments, calendars, priests. I can go on. Once these became requirements for salvation you went apostate. You go straight to Jesus for your prayers not a man or Mary.
Sacraments are ordinary means of grace by which we receive God's energies and become holy. Jesus said if you don't eat his body and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Priests and intercessions are biblical. Stay tuned for an upcoming documentary on my channel, or check out harmony's video "Hidden History of Early Christian Art."
"And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me." Matthew 10,38
"Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal." Matthew 25,32

I would encourage you to read the book of James.
Faith without works is dead. You can’t have one without the other. But you also cannot “earn” salvation as it is Gods free gift. But you do have to be grateful and “show” your gratitude for that gift.
You are in error brother
The first icon was painted by Luke while mary was alive, the first church established after the resurrection, by Peter and Paul, was in Antioch, that church is and always has been Orthodox
