Gosh I remember when Justine had just a couple thousand followers and made it obvious that she was less-than-sure about what she was doing on RUclips. How far you've come Justine. I'm so happy to see you now with so many followers and especially to see that the quality of your videos has improved SO much, while keeping the fun, easy-to-connect-with vibes of your older work. You always feel so down to earth. Keep it up!
To me, you remain in the group of people in RUclips who do things well. You share your knowledge and experience in a friendly but wise manner. Thank you so much. I look at what I already have, buy wisely and try different things more often than before....but most of all, I am grateful. Thank you for reminding us that we do not necessarily have to buy the latest and newest.
This video wins my Most Charming Animation of the Week Award. At least. Perfect timing since the weather is changing to fall where I live. Both my daughter and I got some great tips from this video. That doesn’t happen often!
I very much appreciate the way this was edited with the cork board background and cut out items. It brings me back to how I used to play with pieces I cut out of magazines in the days before the internet. Also, I really enjoyed the subject material of this video. I also like to veer off from what is expected in regards to fashion. Especially following a surgery where my options for footwear are limited to sneakers and not much else. Finding ways to still be chic and not too casual has been a challenge, but an exciting and rewarding one. Some of those outfits are now in my regular rotation because they are just that good.
I love your videos Justine! I believe I am up to date with all of them and really look forward to watching the new ones each week. I love fashion and at 63 I am always trying to keep up to date. I'm an inverted triangle, and very fair skinned and because of your videos I have a better appreciation for colour and for how to dress my body! Thank you so much!
You read my mind, Justine Leconte ! I am in the middle of decluttering my wardrobe and trying to keep only the essentials pieces (about 55 pieces for a year). But kindly hard, because somehow the basics tend to be boring and take up my age. Your video help me so much to reach my goal in the fun way. Thank you so much and please do more this type of video.
I love the concept of this video so much! They're such simple suggestions but can make a world of difference without you having to buy new pieces for your wardrobe.
Merci, Justine! Once again, you've presented extremely practical advice in a delightful, lighthearted way. Combining separates in fresh & imaginative ways, & changing the overall feeling of an outfit through thoughtful use of accessories & footwear is an art, & you've demonstrated here how much you can expand your wardrobe effortlessly. I happen to love pearls, but rarely wear them with dressy outfits. Instead, I like to wear them with tee shirts & casual styles. The purpose is not to make a casual outfit look dressier, but to add an element of surprise, a sartorial wink, to a casual look.
Woah! These outfits are WAY outside my comfort zone! Calm down, Justine!! Black dress and a colourful necklace? 😵 I'll swap my pearls when I've finished clutching them!
I really like your videos and how you speak. Very sweet, kind, informative and helpful. Often women in such type of videos are very silly but yours I can watch without getting irritated and they indeed are helpful.
Yes! Thanks for this! I love wearing my basics in as many ways as possible. I also don’t object to a little polarizing element because I like that surprise.
Merci Justine. You have changed my life for the better. I really think about what I buy now and I had my colours done. It is so easy to get dressed now. Thank you.
Could you do a video on different kind of styles and how to adapt any outfit to that style without massive changes? Eg a normal t shirt and jeans to something more vintage, or grungey, or modern high end? This might not be your kind of thing but I think it would be really cool to show how you can take anything and make it yours... Even the most 'plain' or 'boring' of pieces!! Love your informative and to the point videos as always!!! Kisses from Britain
Bethan Merrick yes please! Unfortunately I don’t own most of the garments in this video. I have a very practical, more casual type of wardrobe (think of an adult playing a lot with kids 😄). For example jeans, tshirt, cardican, jumper... but I‘m very into jewelry and geniusly done hairstyles 🤗 Kisses from Switzerland!
Thank you for the videos, I always learn so much from you. I love pencil skirts but as alternative to those who do not want to emphasize hips or stomach, a line skirts in black and navy can be sophisticated to. I often watch your show just to feed more positive. You’re a treasure.
I love a white shirt with a black leather or faux leather skirt, just below the knee or an a-line mini. Or oversized and open over a mini dress. Totally agree on boots with skirt! I love tailored shorts with pantyhose and embellished, feminine shoes and they also look great with peasant tops and band t-shirts. Also with stomping boots or platform boots (and a vintage style sweater or cardigan or even capelet... pin up style, embellished mohair or woodland fairytale styles...) Boyfriend jeans look great with spangly evening tops, in my opinion, or with a tailored waistcoat worn as a top. Great video!
Wonderful! I have all sorts of new ideas for my existing wardrobe now! ^^ But, I did also want to mention that, for me, this was an unusually difficult video for me to watch. I have challenges with my eyes and am very prone to headaches and migraines. The constant wiggling of the images really messed with me. I thought the effect was really cute and fun as they were approaching the center of the screen, but if they could have stopped or slowed way down once they were at their final position, it would have been a lot easier for me to watch. I ended up having to look away frequently to manage to make it through to the end. If it's the effect you want, that's fine, and I will just do what I need to to enjoy your content. But, I wanted to mention my experience for your consideration. Thank you for such a fun video with so many great suggestions!
Yes, true for me too. I loved the video and ideas. Really helpful and clear and professional as always. But I had the same problem with the images, probably for similar reasons I wanted to be able to watch them because I loved the idea, but the movement was too much! Great video and ideas though.
I would wear the tailored shorts with some below knees socks, oxfords and a super feminine shirt to balance the otherwise boyish look. I like to wear the white button up shirt with a feminine bolo tie and a masculine blazer. The little black dress I usually wear in a full black outfit with a huge statement ring. For me the little black dress expresses power so the combination works great. White chino pants are one of my favorite pieces. I usually wear them with a white loose shirt and minimalistic black sandals and bag for some contrast. I really liked your suggestions as well, especially for the jersey skirt which I always fancied but never got to wear since it always seemed a little bit too casual.
Great video Justine! Changing up your silhouettes is the best way to get more mileage out of your wardrobe. I would wear the sequin skirt with a denim or leather jacket and boots.
Absolutley wonderful! I love that pencil skirt with the platforms, I've never thought about that kind of mixture before, but I definitely know what my next outfit will be! Thank you!
Dear Justine, thanks for your videos. I always enjoy them very much. I am getting married in december and would love a video on wedding dresses for the different body types. And maybe a few ideas on what to wear when you don't marry in church but just in the court house (that's what we are going to do). Thank you very much and much love
I love doing this. My favourite thing is to wear a regular sundress or something frilly and feminine and combine it with studded boots/combat boots/those balenciaga cutaway boots, or my Ghost shirt (or any band shirt really) with a flouncy skirt
Except the sequin skirt(which I do want) you have been in my closet for these! The moto boots with jersey skirt is a fall desert classic for me. The white button up, I wear with an emerald crepe tiny pleated skirt with a silver lame ruffle. For just two examples.
I needed this! I have just started a new job and I find myself wearing pants and a t-shirt every day. Where I work clothes don't matter because customers don't see me but spending 8 hours every day in the same drab outfit can make it boring. Thank you for the great advice! :)
To spice up my LBD, I like to pair it with patterned or coloured tights in winter. I also wear patterned semi-transparent nylon socks with trousers/jeans and any type of shoe, I find that more elegant than the "usual" colourful socks. During the daytime, I wear casual or sporty jumpers (usually a wool mix) with A-line skirts and dresses, instead of a blazer or cardigan. :)
Thank you. In the office I would wear oxfords with pencil skirts. Most everyone found it odd. But not the young ones. They liked it. I don't like wearing heels or flats at work. Oxfords give me comfort. And well, I certainly look different from everyone else.
I LOVE this video. I really needed it. I keep looking at pictures of Emma Watson trying to figure out how she gets the edgy-classic balance down so well and I really need these kinds of styling tips!!! Please make more like this! You’re the best, Justine!
I am going to try some of your tips! Like wearing my new black leather pencil skirt with my masculine platform oxfords for sure. I really would like to experiment more by pairing unexpected combinations.
Love the idea about oxfords with skirt and adding statement jewelry to make a classic piece more edgy. I also love the sequin skirt idea and wearing black flat boot with a black pencil skirt. Love these videos. Keep it up. :-) I would love a video on a capsule wardrobe when traveling.
I loved the ideas in this video. Just one little nitpick: the moving photos were not only distracting, but also made it harder for me to envision the contrasting elements presented. Next time, just still photos of the different pieces, please.
Yes, not only distracting (and made me a little nauseous) but I thought it was a shame that I couldn't focus on the details of the cutout pictures. Even for people not having issues with the wiggly images (especially when several wiggled differently) it would be hard to actually see the piece of clothing clearly, imo?
I love these ideas! Especially how to look clean and professional while wearing flats. I have to walk a lot at work but I still want to look good so these are some great options! Thanks Justine! :)
I loved your video on minimalist fashion and the brands you consider minimalist. Could you please do a video on deconstructionist fashion and the brands you consider as such?
Always enjoy your videos! You are so professional, knowledgeable, and intelligent! I love your style advice and the format of your videos. Also your clothing and jewelry lines are beautiful!
Hello, Justine! I love your channel, and this video has been my favorite one yet! You basically taught people how to use my personal rule of thumb to style my basics, but I love that the only one I thought of the same combo as you was the skirt with the combat boots. Otherwise, I just saw new ways of styling the pieces that I had never thought of. Loved it!!
Danke!!!
Love this video. Your ideas are always so good. I watch your videos and I feel like a have my own personal stylist! "Oh, no, salesperson, before I buy this from you, I must consult with my French stylist, Justine!"
I love this and am hoping for more. I am a woman of a "certain age" and love to bring out my "rocker chick" in small subtle ways - such as combat boots with more feminine outfits and multiple piercings in my ears with edgy earrings. I like a chic, comfortable and edgy way of dressing. However, it's tough with the clothing choices for older women. I have to get creative. Please show more of these types of videos for those of us that want to add some edge to our personal style. Also, I love how you put together your format. It's fun on the eyes.
Thank you for another helpful video. My work clothes are scrubs , dark grey from head to toe but I do show a little personality in my socks haha. I use your advice with my "real life" clothes and find myself being more adventurous with color. It helps to be losing weight too. Thanks again for such thoughful and well presented information.
Another great video, Justine 😍 I've always been interested about fashion & I definitely have learned a lot from your channel. You're very smart & you've inspired me a lot! Lots of love from the Philippines. 😙

Great video, Justine! I loved seeing how you styled classic pieces in different ways for different effects. I've always been a "packrat" & rarely get rid of clothes.😖 (I'm convinced it's genetic!😏) I'm actually going through my closet NOW & choosing "keepers" vs. donate or throw out. My husband is shocked ! I do prefer a tailored style these days. This video & your capsule wardrobe advice will really help me out❣I'm soooo glad I found you & your outstanding fashion knowledge & experience! Thanks! 😊💗💞💗
Hi justine! I was wondering, what are french office/work wardrobe essentials that you would recommend to a fresh grad (that just started working)? Love your videos!
Hello Justine thanks a lot again for a great video! May I ask where did you buy your black top you are wearing? It looks amazing and I am still struggling to find good quality basic tops :) Thanks!

I am 35 and could never find my dress style. Thx to your knowledgeable videos my life has changed.
I am really grateful to/for you. 🙏🏽
you take fashion from "sophisticated and expensive" to "creative expression for everyone". ♡🤗
I love your channel. As a woman in her 60's I find your advice fitting for women of all ages.

Perfect! Love the way to mix up classic clothes and create an attitude with them. Such a helpful way to get a lot of miles out of a wardrobe. 👍💜
Bonjour Justine I liked the decoupage. It reminded me of my childhood paper dolls. Great tips that I'll keep re watching for inspiration.

This was wonderfully done. Very useful information delivered in a spectacularly creative way ! Thank you 🙏🏻
This is a good review of some classic pieces to keep in my closet (or find for it) :) Thank you! Time to go pencil skirt shopping 🙌
Such an inspiring video! Thanks for the ideas, Justine. I liked the tips on how to twist office outfits the most :)
i just love to mix the "formal" and "informal".. not only in fashion (btw), so it feels/ looks like avant-garde_style!
Hello, Justine! I love your channel, and this video has been my favorite one yet! You really reflect the local French & German in your life...and that made this video super interesting❤💜💙💚💛
Love this video. Your ideas are always so good. I watch your videos and I feel like a have my own personal stylist! "Oh, no, salesperson, before I buy this from you, I must consult with my French stylist, Justine!"
It was so cool how you did this Justine, I like the 'cut outs' almost paper doll effect! The selection of shoe styles you gave us is also helpful! XO
Justine, I love watching you! You truly are an inspiring mademoiselle
the dancing pictures are hilarious!!!
Hi Justine. Thanks a lot for the video. Great tips! Love the animation! Very fresh!
Justine you are amazing 😍, I’m so happy I found you on RUclips 😊😊❤️❤️❤️🤗

Would have loved to see YOU wear the different combinations!
ah the jersey skirt with boots (for me also styled with a big jean jacket) is one of my fave looks
You are welcome!
Another great video, Justine 😍
I've always been interested about fashion & I definitely have learned a lot from your channel. You're very smart & you've inspired me a lot!
Lots of love from the Philippines. 😙
Very good advice! I love all those wardrobe ideas. 💜💙👑
The video is super fun to watch! And all the tips are useful 😍😘
Thanks!
Thanks Justine. Great tips. Love your videos x
Yet another great video with great content Justine! I love your attention to detail. Thank you so much! this was so helpful.
Over the years, you've changed the way I think fashion💕
Love the pencil skirt suggestion. I have a pair of saddle oxford shoes...would love to know how you would pair them with office wear.
This was good. I was wanting something like this from you. More would be good! Thanks.
Thanks! 😊💗💞💗
This was great! So much info in one video.
Love watching as always 💕😍❤️
Thank you, you are an inspirational teacher
This was very helpful! I will definitely rewatch and reference this video again in the future! Thank you for sharing! 💗
Just the ideas I was looking for... Thank you so much Justine. This one's a keeper in my playlist 💕
Great ideas! I personally love embellished/sequin skirts worn with t-shirts - I love the contrast of dressy and casual :)
Hi justine! I was wondering, what are french office/work wardrobe essentials that you would recommend to a fresh grad (that just started working)? Love your videos!
I need to think about sequins more! Interesting, informative well presented video
This is pretty genius!, thanks for breaking it down
Hello Justine thanks a lot again for a great video! May I ask where did you buy your black top you are wearing? It looks amazing and I am still struggling to find good quality basic tops :) Thanks!
Enjoyed the video. Very useful and resourceful. Great!
How do you always upload the videos I need to watch?? It must be Justine magic! You're the fashion-fairy!! 😁
Loved Loved Loved this video Justine. Thank you. Encore, Encore 😂🇦🇺👜👠✔
Thank you for your deeply helpful styling tips, because you are so elegantly efficient for me!
