Look for labels and certifications that ensure the animals are not victims of mulesing, which is painful and also completely unnecessary in the hair-shaving process. Several countries are currently working towards banning mulesing in farming, as awareness is increasing).

Does anyone else love how she says Hi everyone it's Justine :D So cute!
✌️
I approximately said that 😄 I like it
Is that what my accent sounds like? 🤔😅
I love that that is how every video starts! It brings some sense of familiarity even though the content is always new. You hear that and your day is already much better!
❤️
Justine - Now that I am a Canadian senior, retired and home most of the time, I have fewer wardrobe needs, so I have found your advice very helpful as I have downsized the contents of my closet. I still very much enjoy clothes, hair and make-up, so it has been lovely to feel included in your audience instead of relegated to obscurity as an old woman, and I have discovered how timeless fashion can be while enjoying your sweet delivery and winning personality in these videos. THANK YOU MY GIRL!
You are very well spoken, Gail!
Style is ageless. Some of the best pieces of my wardrobe my 70 year old Mum handed me down. I enjoy them for years. She declutters, I gain another classic item. 😊
I totally agree with you. I find Justine wonderfully professional, knowlegable & well organised in her approach to the subject she is able to present extremely well in a very dignified manner, without preaching. She is so practical, & most qualified in offering advise. Justine is really interesting in her delivery & I enjoy her videos emensly, as I enjoyed à long career in fashion & beauty & like to keep up with trends & style in my retirement. Thank-you Justine. I'm very impressed by your depth of knowledge & realise you are very thorough in your presentations. BRAVO, please keep up the good work! Kind regards Jacqueline Flaschner, in New Zealand.
Gail Mooney Same here from America...
@@jacquelineflaschner9437 - The truest complement, when it comes from a peer.
Emily Evans - Thank you for your kind comment/xo
Justine you are one smart, classy, elegant, beautiful, funny, empathetic person.
I can never get enough of looking at her hands! Such beautiful hands and the way she moves them. Very feminine.
And she's so humble and polite. I really love watching her, hearing from her
This fall I had to do the opposite for my capsule!! I have spent the last two years collecting a couple unique key pieces like sweaters, jackets and pants that I love wearing and re-wearing. They all have a range of cut, texture and coolers. But this fall when I looked at closet I was missing some of the basic foundational pieces like t-shirts! I bought two new shirts and one tunic (made and designed in Canada). I focused on getting shirts that were well cut so they would look polished on their own, looser fitting so I didn't have to ware a wired-bra, and quality material so that it would look good under a blazer on zoom meetings. But the thing I was most focused on was buying simple colourful peaces that would both compliment the colour pallet, textures and tones of my closet! It really pulled things together, and got me to step out of my comfort zone of wearing navy blue from head-to-toe.
7:15 haha🤭 I'm the opposite, 1,53m and love 7/8 pants as they are exactly the length I need for long pants🤦🤣😅
I love that we are all different. I am 5/4 so officially petite but rectangular so I look for sillouettes that make me look taller; for me looser pants are great and it's so hard looking at spectacular photos of someone who is not at all like me and think, wow! I can do that. Well, not.
Whenever I see puffy sleeves in the shops, my inner Jerry Seinfeld voice says ..."but, I don't wanna be a pirate!..."
What about a musketeer? 🤣
I totally laughed out loud reading that in Jerry's voice!!!!😂
I thought about the exact same thing! I watched this episode some months ago (before having any idea about this year's fall/winter fashion trends) and thought, 'But I wouldn't be surprised if the "puffy shirt" actually came back in vogue.' And now I feel like a prophet! :D
Oh yes, I always think of them as "the puffy shirt" when I see them.
@@justineleconte (hilarious)
I love how polite, straightforward, honest, and positive you are! It’s so refreshing to hear you explain things to the point, without waffling around with excessive chatting like a lot of fashion related content. Thank you so much!
Thank you Justine. I do think capsule wardrobes can be boring, and i like your ideas.
I'm 5'11 (and from Berlin!, though I now live in the States) as well, and it's so nice to follow someone on RUclips who is tall. Most of my other favorite fashion/minimilism/capsule wardrobe channels are led by petite women. There is lots out there on how to dress if you're small, but little for taller women, including quality, sustainable brands. Pants are always an issue, but so are the waists of dresses which sit too high. Shifts are fine, but it would be nice to be able to wear a dress with a waist, too. By the way, love the sweater you're wearing in this video. So cozy.
And this comes just at the point when I will change my summer wardrobe with my other wardrobe, that was supposed to be my weekend seasonal chore :)
Last winter I haven't bought anything new. I wanted to do it to be sure what am I missing in my wardrobe. Turns out the only thing I found I often wished I had to complete my outfit and colour palette is a brown cardigan. And this was such an amazing change of mindset, to be patient for a whole year and be completely sure I won't buy a piece of clothing I won't use often and find practical! You are truly changing people's lifes for the better
I'm 6'1" and want pants hems that come all the way down to my shoes, thankyouverymuch! No more 7/8 pants!
I'm 5"2', so ⅞ pants would look regular length on me. One size does not fit all.
No more economy of material applied wrongly! Cheers to that!
@@Poppy- True! It's always easier to remove fabric (raise a pants hem) than it is to add it, though.
@@croitoriafaraformule I'm always wondering: were do they get their standards? No one I know fits in it lol
My mum has been very grateful for 7/8 length- it means she doesn’t have to re-hem every pair of pants she buys.
Me, even though I’m also short, I don’t like them, I’d rather hem the pants myself, or my new solution- just never wear pants at all! That solution works very well for me. If it’s cold, I just add another pair of stockings and another petticoat under my long skirt. And then I’m toasty warm, much warmer than anyone in pants! It’s also much more comfortable for me, especially in a wheelchair- no more wheelchair wedgies! Sorry for the tmi.
But my mum will be very sad to see them go.
Had to watch this before I go to sleep (I'm in Australia and it's way past midnight). Great video, Justine. I don't have a capsule wardrobe but I like the idea of them and I love watching videos about them. It has made me try and be more considerate about my clothing purchases - I think more about what the item will go with, what will it match in my wardrobe etc.
Good night 😘
Yes please do the same for the other seasons! Love your videos, I have so little fashion sense of my own so you’re my guru for all things fashion, I’ve learnt everything I know from you 😂 thank you!
Another vote for videos for the other seasons!
Your capsule wardrobe video has helped me slowly build mine (once I figured out what my color palette should be, your videos on that helped tremendously) and having this advice on how to keep it from being boring is very timely. I like my capsule but ... I also like to keep things feeling fresh and fun. Learning about how to use pattern and texture in a capsule is exactly the step I was looking for but couldn't really figure out. I appreciate how gentle you are with your suggestions- you are an authority in this area but you talk to your viewers with respect for our ideas and needs/desires. I get very tired of people speaking as though they are the definitive and only opinion on a topic. Thank you for the time and work you put into your videos and designs.
I was so distracted by how pretty you look that I didn't hear anything you said and (once I realized), had to go back to the beginning to re-listen!
You look fantastic in grey and it makes your eyes look grey (I know this sounds weird but, grey was my favourite colour from my late teens through my twenties!).
I find that looking at my actual day to day life helps me choose my wardrobe staples wisely.
I live in Scandinavia, and realized that I very seldom remove my jumper during autumn/winter, so I don’t need any fancy shirts to go underneath the jumper. I do however love a fun jumper, which is reflected in my *many* knitted pieces. I mostly combine them with trousers, which explains why I have a few of those as well. Skirts and dresses just don’t have a place in my wardrobe - and neither do clothing without pockets.
I’ve found your videos very fun and thought provoking!
This was great! My sweaters are my favorite items in my wardrobe. I recently added a second-hand wool sweater that has a bright pattern and I can't stop wearing it :)
Classic can never be boring - only the person who tries to 'squeeze' themselves into a style that isn't flattering them the best or fake. I've seen the rise of 'elegant/timeless/feminine etc. gurus on youtube who don't look the part or look too rigid in the classical styles. Why go against your own nature just to follow someone? I love what I love and you love what you love and that's fine!
I always appreciate your videos - they cause me to see the items in my wardrobe in a new light
We've had a lovely unexpected cold snap here in the southern United States and I have been so happy digging out my sweaters and blazers! I love your tips. I lean toward more classical pieces and it can get boring after a while, so learning how to mix it up while keeping things streamlined was really helpful. Thank you, Justine! Looking forward to the newsletter!
Agreed at almost 5’9 I can’t wait for full length pants! Most of my height is in my legs so the last few years of fashion trends have not been to my taste
Warmer, too.
I'm 5ft 2in and have been happy lately NOT to take pants up at an extra cost but reading through here I"m laughing out loud!! We are all different and nobody seems happy! I think they should offer a 'pants up' service and leave the hems raw! It could pay dividends! I used to do this in the late 60's when ordering 'LOON' pants with a raw edge. I always knew I was going to look good and the tailor I went to knew my measurements. Invaluable!
Please do for all other seasons. I just moved from Germany to Sydney this year (just before Covid!) and spring is starting here. And every video I watch is about the cold season trends. I'm very confused 🙃
I recently culled much of what I wasn’t wearing or wouldn’t wear but I kept jackets that I hadn’t been wearing instead of far too many comfy cardigans. I can dress casually for my job as a teacher but I feel as professional in jeans with a casual but structured jacket as I did in dress pants with a cardigan. It also feels more modern with white trainers. The gods must be watching because I don’t think I could stand all day in platforms or even survive a day in ballet flats at my age. I enjoy combining colors but now that I teach exclusively via video, color around my face seems extremely important.
oooooh yes! i"ve been waiting for full length pants and jeans for years!!!! finaly!
Yep, finally 😁
@@justineleconte and I am not even as tall as you! but buying jeans has been a torment since 2010! a big hello from Croatia! :)
@@zmrkljez I'm 165 cm tall and didn't even realize there was/is a trend of 7/8 pants... I have to shorten all pants that I buy.
on the other hand i do dress vintage and vintage inspired so trends go past me for other reasons too haha
Mashi Maro me too- though I do keep up with trends if only for my teenage daughter. Personally, I wear mostly Belle Époque and Edwardian styles (with a small amount of 1940s thrown in). But I’ve noticed that a few pieces I’d class as wardrobe staples (a white blousey shirtwaist, a nice tweed waistcoat) are coming back in to fashion- which might make finding items a little easier (or at least make it so I don’t have to sew every item of my wardrobe, which will be nice).
But I’ve found that even with my decidedly not-trendy wardrobe, Justine’s tips on how to build a good wardrobe that isn’t too big, has been highly useful!
Thank you for all your research into styles for each season; I’ve really been able to level up my closet since discovering your channel. Thank you Justine!
Merci, Justine! what a nice surprise to see this pop up this morning. Although it's still warm in LA, this video makes me pine for my cozy sweaters. Good advice here on using dimensions such as cut, color, & texture to add some personality to a capsule wardrobe. Thanks for the shout-out to cable knits, which I've always loved. And argyle is back! Love that too, even though it can be a bit tricky to wear. I'm here for any intarsia knits, & still think about that distinctive turquoise & black knit you did in your most recent collection. Ready for fall. Let's go!
So informative as always! Definitely makes me want to look over my wardrobe & potentially do an overhaul. :)
C’est un plaisir de vous retrouver ! C’est effectivement très inspirant de voir comment nos basiques peuvent être modernisés ! Ça m’aide vraiment en ces temps de grisaille émotionnel!
Thank you so much, Justine ! For finally talking about capsules wardrobe! Since I heard about capsules years ago, I had struggled about making it unique, add a little bit interesting items instead of full of basic combinations. Your advices really help a lot!
Thank you so much for your research! This is a very intelligent, well-organized, and well thought out video. Thank you so much for sharing. I love all the tips in this video and in particular I want to try the different blazer cuts this season!
You're such a kind hearted, cheerful, Beautiful Lady!
Thank you for all you do!
God Bless you always 💙
Yes, yes to doing this for every season!!!
This is so helpful! I’ve been trying to hone my personal style a lot more and use what I have rather than buying new pieces a lot, and this gave me some good things to think about.
I love how you talk about fashion. You always help me think about the longevity of what I buy
Amazing! Just knitting a cardigan for myself and this video was EXACTLY what I needed!! Thank you so much!
Super interesting! Merci! Also, looking forward to whatever news you have coming up.
You live in Berlin..........oh it's my one of the fave places ... feeling glad to hear that you live in Berlin....❤️❤️❤️
Definitely a yes for these types of "timeless pieces" videos for other seasons! 👍 Loved it☺️
Thank you Justine!
Your information, experience, insight and VAST knowledge has been muchly appreciated.
I also have a lot of respect for you as your objectivity and professionalism has been steadfast and true.
Best wishes n lots of success in all you endeavours. Stay well.
I find it comforting to listen to you discuss about apparel.
Love these capsule wardrobe videos. I am so glad Justine is back to making videos.
I do the same thing with my jumpers & knits when autumn comes - I feel like I'm getting ready to hibernate.
I also love the way she pronounced the word that.
This channel has taught me so much.
Than you so much Justine.
Please don't stop my friend.
Very inspirational Justine! You didnt overwhelm and classic. Lots of examples from the 70's! And I like natural fabrics. Back then it was all that! My mother sewed and made herself a polyester "crimplene" pantsuit that was wash and wear...she quickly became a fan. She wore it to my German mother in law's who was horrified and amazed at no ironing. Even my dad's work shirts!! All synthetics now. I'm sewing with cotton and wool as much as I can. Love the drape and body. And they feel good.
Justine, the effort you put in to your videos is always apparent as their quality shines through.👌
Yes please continue this video as a series... ❤️
yesss, justine! we want those type of videos for every season!! 😺😺
Yes please, Justine, it would be great if you would do videos for the other seasons, too. Thank you so much for this one!
Hi Justine, it’s Karen - I would love to see a video with ideas for how to make classic items, already owned, more current - rather than the emphasis on shopping for new - like putting the belt over a jacket.
I always look forward to your videos! So well done and helpful! Thank you so much for all the research and time you put into them. Blessings to you! 🥰
I was just starting to get bored with my wardrobe! This filled me with new enthusiasm and inspiration! Such a useful video! Please make for other seasons as well!
Tyvm for all the info especially on sweaters and cardigans. I love this season and I'm trying to get pieces like this in my wardrobe instead of buying every year. All of your videos are so helpful I would really love this for every season!
Always appreciate your helpful hints and suggestions! Thank you!!!
Thank you for your hard work. This video really helps me. It is the most organized trend video I've seen this month!!
This is my happy place. Thank you, Justine!
I'm so happy to see that you are healthy and happy. Thank you for your information. 🤗
Justine, I enjoy your channel very much for your up-to-date, informative thoughts and your lovely smile. Thank you 🙏 😊
Yes! More of same please. Love your videos. So inspiring!
Great one! I'd love to see more of these videos for every season!
Yes please! More videos like this throughout the year!
Hi Justine, this video is so helpful! I sew my own clothes and the summer season is my favorite - I lack imagination for my wardrobe when the weather turns cold and I have to put away all of my lovely linen and viscose fabrics. I love that you include color, silhouette, and texture advice all in one. This video has inspired a few new projects and a great creative boost! Thank you!
I always learn from your videos! This one was very useful--so well thought-out and concisely presented, as always. Thank you, Justine!
Thank you. I love your updates and knowing how to be timeless and interesting. I’m 78 and love being interesting in a smart way. And you’re beautiful.
So inspirational! I hope you will do this video for all next seasons!
Thanks! 👏🌺
You give us always a lot of inspiration.
I honestly think you're the best fashion youtuber ever! Looking forward to new videos 🥰 bisous de Croatie 😘
Yes please, do this kind of videos for every season. It's very useful.
Thank you Justine! Love your videos. Very inspiring and I look forward to each one.
Yes, these types of videos are very useful and helpful!
Bonjour Justine, yes the way you did this brilliant video, with all the photos illustrating your excellent points, was extremely useful! Thank you for your time selecting them :)
Always enjoy watching your videos when I get chance. For seasonal for trends for outfits for body types that I can use for myself and also my little one. As she and I enjoy your videos. She in particular learn a lot from you since her interest is in fashion and art. So little and already knows one of her three main interest for careers.
Thank you
Thank you for a very useful and informative video. Perfect timing for cleaning sorting and storing. I make or adapt a lot of my clothes and try to keep fabric details etc to make sure I launder garments properly.
You are always so informative, honest, and motivational. Thank you again.
Yes, I would like to see one of these for each season. Thanks,
Yes! can't wait to watch the same video for other seasons!...thank you 😘
Just what i needed! Thank you for this video and yes, please do another videos for other seasons! Bisous!
You are so knowledgeable! And very kind to share this important information. Thank you.
Thank you Justine. I love your videos. Happy Fall!
RUclips recommended your channel to me and I am glad. I find your advice thought provoking and practical, as well as entertaining. Over the years, my clothing needs have changed. Unfortunately, so did my figure, from inverted triangle to hourglass to pear-shaped. The last is difficult to cope with.
As a retired person, I am weeding out some of the blazers. As many were bought at thrift shops, I was willing to compromise a bit on size, ignoring one or two that were too large. I was also caught unaware of the psychological down-sizing by which the size 8 I wore in the 1960s became the size 6 (around the time I became an hour glass) and finally a size 4!
I have recently become aware that my palettes (I am a Color Me Beautiful winter) changed so that I have a fall/winter wardrobe dominated by grey, black, red, some chocolate brown, royal blue and purple, while my spring/summer clothes tended toward khaki, pink, French blue and turquoise/teal.
One thing I wish is that colors would not disappear. The turquoise and teal shades disappeared during the 60s, perhaps as a backlash against their harshness in the 1950s. I would love a forest green skirt for fall/winter but they've been scarce for years!
I just think you are so lovely to share all of your expertise with us in such a gentle and kind way. I’ve followed you on Instagram, subscribed to your newsletter and am eagerly awaiting your next collection!
Great video, Justine! Yes! Definitely make videos like this one for each season. You're knowledgeable,! educational, & inspirational! Thx!
Missed you! Please do this for other seasons! :) Love your take on timeless pieces
Love your videos, Justine. May I say you are glowing from within more than ever...
I am currently working on something I enjoy 😉
This is soooo relatable here in Italy!! Have timeless and good quality items that are always fashion. Love your videos ❤️
I loved the idea of this video as soon as I read the title! Hope you keep doing it Justin💕
Thank you so much! This exactly what I needed. I’ve been annoyed at my wardrobe. Everything is still lovely but am getting bored. Thank you for these tips. I will try to adopt them!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I needed another way to look at my clothes and how to expand my wardrobe.
Justine, this is wonderful, merci beaucoup! I quite agree that capsules without these elements are BORING. I see them all over the Internet and I simply cannot understand why anyone would want to live in such a joyless way. As a ginger I look best in warm tones so the recent resurgence of such colors in fashion makes me giddy. Trying to find the right shades that are more enduring is a challenge. My “black pants” and “little black dress” (unmentioned in THIS video but in many others) are both chocolate brown and utilizing more intriguing than usual fabrics like velvet and silk. My “white button down shirt” (so classic and in virtually every capsule online) is a lovely rich cream blouse with nary a button in sight! The unique cut, silhouette, and artful details make my heart sing. I cannot fathom wearing the same shirt that my utilitarian father wore to work everyday. I’m a wholly different creature! So glad we have you to wake us up from the endless monotony!
Another thoughtful video- yes please do more in this series!
Your channel is my favorite! Thank you! Your content gives great insight!
Speaking of historical fashion come backs, is it only me who loves regency style kravat? I would love to see it in women"s fashion too. Though it might not be comfortable...
It could be made comfortable. I mean, we nearly choke ourselves with scarves, and some of those are comfy too. I imagine a cool silk for warmer weather, and a softer, warmer material for winter or cooler weather.
I can’t see why it would be any less comfortable than a high neck blouse- which is something I wear almost all of the time.
Cardigans and cozy sweaters, yes!!! Also scarves and tall boots 🥰
Merci, Justine, pour vos conseiles et votre sympathie!
I'd love to see this video for the other 3 seasons! It's very helpful.
You are the best ! Thank you for all your inspiring videos !
Always love your videos. Please do more for the other seasons. Thank you.
Justine, love your content and it never gets boring.
I love love love this upcoming trend. I’m a fan of all of the pieces mentioned 😍
You are like the kindest person on this platform
