Yes I love that! It is soooo helpful! especially since I never think about colour themes when I shop and end up with a lot of pretty items that don't match or I end up with almost only navy, white and black. Could you maybe do a video on how to match and style specific colours/items? I really struggle with this, as I don't want to buy new things, but end up wearing the same stuff, as I never know how to style the clothes I have, neither colour or model wise. Thanks and love your videos!!!!

Once when I told my son to be good or he wouldn't get to play video games, he promptly told me if I wasn't good I couldn't watch any of those "French Lady" (Justine LaConte) videos. I had to laugh. That tells you how much I appreciate your well organized, beautifully appointed videos. I love these capsule wardrobe videos. I believe less is so much more. That said, the thing I often find missing from the discussion has actually been a game changer for me: I take a few minutes to put together an outfit and that's the outfit I'll wear the NEXT day. And I am here to say I have NO extra time, but I will do this. You can be as organized as IKEA, but if you don't take the time to put a few outfits together, you will run out the door misinformed once again that you hate what you are wearing because of your wardrobe. I found this to be the golden bullet because inevitably, when it is time to go somewhere, I feel pressed for time. So to have something ready to go is perfection. It helps me love what I already have and any purchases I make are typically an accessory or two to pull together what I already have. I invested in a nice set of three hooks from The Container Store so I can have three different outfits hanging at a time. I would hazard to guess we already have the outfit we saw and loved in the store window, we just need to take the time to put it together--that's what the window dresser did! :)

    Bonjour Justine!
I'm following you for over a year now 😍 Since I downsized my wardrobe, I find it's much easier to decide on what to wear and not get too hot or cold - I didn't do an exact capsule wardrobe, but I considerably downsized and then I realized what colors are the strongest in my wardrobe - I have to admit I was a bit surprised 😂 I love your videos, every single one taught me something new, and I keep recommending your channel to my friends. Geez, I already can't wait for the next one 😁

Hi Justine, another fantastic video! I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate how you distinguish between Ad and non-ad content. You make seamless transitions while still keeping the content relevant to the video. I feel respected as a viewer and appreciate your transparency :)! In regards to fall capsules, this transitional season is always the hardest to dress for in Canada! It will be 5 degrees Celsius in the morning and 27 degrees by 1 o'clock. On the street I see people where shorts and sandals or winter coats...sometimes both.

I deal with this by wearing tights under my skirt and a good jacket. So, when it’s sweltering by afternoon, I just take off my tights in the bathroom and carry my jacket home.

hi Renee I live in Toronto, used to live in Quebec City; at the moment we are having halcyon days but yes it will change, sometimes several times a day. This makes me concerned about my dog, who has a thick coat. And us? Ah, yes. Layers is all I came up with; peel one off or put one on. Hope that resonates! Justine lives in Berlin (my mother was a Berliner holocaust survivor) and I've been there countless times and their weather is as unpredictable as ours. So I think her concept is sound, and easy to adapt to the climate (word for me was 'adapt'.) Cheers!

A designer in Sweden, Gudrun Sjöden, makes sleeveless cardigans and sweaters. Also turtlenecks in thinner materials to wear under even blouses. Our designers has also learned from athletic wear and are mixing materials. Like wool, so you can wash it at 40 degrees C. They work with frabriques like corduroy and velvet as well. In boots you can buy boots in other main colours in your wardrobe. I have several in winter colours like darke blue, purple and darker green.

    Shift dresses are excellent too.
You can wear bold tights under a slightly loose shift dress, shift dresses are great, bare legs and arms, to tights or leggings, a loose top underneath, or a cardigan and that dress is evergreen.

Justine, I wish you'd do a vid about a denim-free wardrobe! I hate the stuff.. If you can't afford to buy tip-top versions of the fabric, jeans are horribly unflattering, unless you're a catwalk model. They're also cold in winter, hot in summer and take days to dry. Yet we unthinkingly go for duhhhh...jeeeeeans... as our knee-jerk casual AND casual-to-smart wear. Time for a revolution!

Yay! This is very helpful. I'm packing for a nine week business trip to a cooler climate and was feeling lost. Took a screenshot of your fall capsule structure to guide my selections.

I add cardigans and put sweater "vests" over plain button up blouses so collar can be pulled out over sweater top. Change to closed shoes and ankle boots ( with socks because I too get blisters)

This also looks like a great strategy for where I live in Virginia, where the weather swings back and forth and can’t decide from one day to the next if it wants to be Summer or Fall.

This video makes me so homesick. I'm currently living in Austin, TX and it's still summer hot. (We actually are having a hotter September than we did July this year), but I grew up 1000 miles NE of here - where fall and winter actually happened. I miss the change of seasons!

Every one is enjoying the videos on fall fashion and I am here like...whoa..it's still summer with horrid rains and puddles...and again summer... congratulations on reaching fall that barely happens in India...atleast in my city Kolkata. I saw the video of fall fashion the other week... monochromatic outfit is still my go to... season doesn't matter since it's always summer here.
