Great videos! I've learned so much about Ranger tugs from watching. Quick questions... In addition to your anchor chain and line, how much other line do you carry aboard for tying to trees as in this video? What diameter do you carry, and what type of line for this purpose, polypropylene or something else? Finally, where do you store all this extra line aboard?
Our stern line is around 300 yards of poly because it floats. we also carry a 150 foot extra anchor line with extra anchor. the there is the moving lines.
The second spot with a bow and stern tie was tight how often do you tie the kayak or something else to the line to keep it from getting run into? I am surprised a flag or float isn’t standard practice on lines.
At this location you would not have another boat come in. There were far too many submerged rocks.Shore, tying in Georgian Bay is very common, and most boaters are used to seeing lines running to shore. The kayak was tied half way down the stern line to prevent it from hitting the main ship.
Great video ! we love the North Channel !
Thanks so much!
Looks like you have found some great areas.
Yes, Georgian Bay offers so many options.

Where was the second spot?
I liked within ten seconds because ESN did not say "The" Georgian Bay. No offence to those who do intended. It's just so wrong.
Glad we got it right ! Thanks for watching
