    you're my hero. i was just trying to figure how to mount it using a sunnylife mount and it says to mount the android cable sideways but no matter what cable i use theirs or the the one that came with the mavic it's way to short. you can't even get to the controllers

    Works well with Mavic 2 Pro and Crystalsky 7.8". I wish the whole setup would be much cheaper than ~$140...

    The best and most convenient solution is using velcro on both the rc arms and the skycrystal back. I have spent a lot to buy ‘sophisticated ‘ skycrystal mounting gear but now I don’t use them, just use the velcro solution. Especially when I am traveling I don’t want to carry unnecessary extra gear. The Velcro’s work just fine

    Thanks for the video. I am looking to purchase a CrystalSky for my Mavic Air. Going through the process of founding a mount. I like what you did here combining the Inspire with the PolarPro as I too prefer the open grip option. Do you have a link to the flathead screwdriver? LOL

    Hi, can you get a clean view without instructions by hdmi crystalsky output? I would like to know how to do it.. thanks

    • @AerialPixel
      @AerialPixel  4 года назад

      Yes you can, after you have the drone connected click the settings hard button on the CrystalSky tap the HDMI button in the settings menu and a menu will pop-up, make sure you have HDMI turned on then select the "Output Mode" and there is an option for "Camera View" this will only display the camera in your external monitor and nothing else, a true Clean HDMI Out.

    This mount does not fit into the Mavic 2 Pro controller snug. The joystick storage holders are in the way. It is not secure and you can feel it moving. You will have to mill off the shoulders at the front of the holder or pry off the joy stick holders. I think once you make those modifications it will work fine.

    • @AerialPixel
      @AerialPixel  5 лет назад

      If you want you can pry out the joystick holders, but I've been using it this way for months and personally love it on the M2P.

    Great advise, exactly what I was looking for.
    What about the wheight of this DJI Quick mount and Polar Pro plate? The plate looks like metal, heavy?

    • @AerialPixel
      @AerialPixel  5 лет назад

      The Polar Pro plate is made of aluminum so it isn't too heavy, it still balances well.

    Excellent question Old Drone Flyer. DJI has no time frame for the crystalsky monitor to be compatible with the Mavic 2. I just spent $500 plus for this monitor to find out I cant use it with my new drone. DJI is very close to losing me as a customer. A customer that owns Inspire, Phantom 4 Pro and Phantom 4. Also DJI goggles.

    • @AerialPixel

      I spoke with my friend that works for DJI USA, they anticipate an update next month.... Yikes! I'm wondering if there was some serious compatibility issues, however Litchi managed to overcome them as the Beta works fine for me on the CrystalSky (rooted with the Google Play Store) on the Mavic 2 Pro.

    Great information. Will the phantom mount and the polar pro mount combination work on the 7.85 crystalsky and mavic 2 pro controller as well?

    • @snarkleparkle
      @snarkleparkle 5 лет назад

      I need to know the same ! I bought my husband the mavic 2 pro for Christmas but he needs a big screen like the 7.85 crystslsky. Hoping your set up will work.

    • @AerialPixel
      @AerialPixel  5 лет назад

      Yes, this setup works with the 7.85" model too. The only modification I've done since this video is to remove the rubber inserts that hold the control sticks when they are removed, they are pressure fit and just pull out. this allows the PolarPro bracket to fit even tighter.

  • @mypixelchrome
    @mypixelchrome 5 лет назад

    Good explanation. So is the CrystalSky monitor actually compatible with the Mavic 2 Pro? DJI say no!! Also, am I right in understanding that the CrystalSky does NOT come with a charger? Their website talks about the charging dock. Not sure why it would not come with a charger. Sorry if this sounds like a dopey question

    • @AerialPixel
      @AerialPixel  5 лет назад

      The CrystalSky is compatible with the Mavic 2 Series now with the latest Go4 app installed. No the CrystalSky does not come with the adapter for charging, DJI makes the assumption you have one already from a Phantom 4 or Inspire. If you have a Mavic Pro, Air or Mavic 2 you will need an AC adapter to plug into the charging base.

    i really like this for my CS/Ultra,but I have a question about this set/mod;do you have to shave the left & right tabs in order for the mount bracket to fit flushly neat underneath the remote controller slot to make it more secure, to fit like a lock tab similar to the mavmount 3.0? looks like that raised tabs wont allow it to fit in all the way...
