- Fudge’s new motor/project the mighty 2.0ltr Ford Capri Laser !! She’s in bits parked in a barn for over 20 years!! Barn,dismantled,sized … that’ll go right ??
Great video Al and fudge and love Capris my uncle has a 1983 2.0GL he bought brand new and still owns I have many happy memories of going in it as a boy he put it away when his sons were born and uses it now he is retired looking forward to seeing this one come back together and I know you will do a great job and will be one of the best! All the best Daniel
The last ford capri I owned was an 1985 2ltr laser auto ,white c121har reg, scrapped it,had many capris befor that one, happy motoring
loving the fuel can and cigarette, H&S at it's finest lol
Be worth a few bob when its done up Al. Fudge got himself a little project there.
It was a bargain this man couldn't walk away from, been grinning from ear to ear ever since lol
Ok now I'm really gonna have to kick myself up the backside and start working on my 1600gl capri now, thanks for the awesome video al and fudge👍🏻
The way your capri was sputtering that petrol out, it looks like it may have kidney stones
Keep going great job
The man has a full workshop at his disposal and all he required was a single screwdriver and the wave of a hammer.....good work.
Al and fudge cracking video great bantering as always making me laugh so much keep up the great content 👏👏👍🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Had 1979 2litre cortina in the eighties.changed the carburetor 3 times, no matter if i drove it like a sunday driver or F1 driver could only manage 25miles to the gallon😂
Great banter and the capri is excellent
Would be great to see this fully rebuilt as a series of videos done many capris myself.
Corosian After Purchase Repair Impossible Capri ! 💪
Sunday Mornin Charr on a classic with the leg end Turbo Al …you can’t beat it 🥷🏿🇬🇧
Your video has stopped me gardening! . Thankyou
Your microphone is superb. I could hear the file on those points…. 😆
Bloody love Capris, looking forward to seeing more on this one!!
Excellent episode why I'm subscribed . I had 1986 capri 1.6 L laser no one wanted it at the time wanted the bigger engines
1.6 is fine ..these days they sound better than new stuff and Capri's are fun to drive ..quite easy to convert into a 2.8 not done that myself but seen this done
Brilliant love this channel look forward to the next.
brilliant stuff from fudge and al
You cant beat a ford pinto engine.virtually indestructable.regular oik changes to help stop the top bar from blocking up and it will go forever.had one in my sierra years ago.lent it to me sister,it burst a coolant pipe and she drove it till it siezed up. The aa trailered it home, put a new headgasket on it and away it went again just as good as new.i love fords, the 80s/90s ones are the best tho.
Very nice Al a man's got to love a Capri 😊
Guys, thanks so much for a trip down memory lane. I remember well fighting with those dizzy cap clips Al 🤣🤣 And my pride and joy ended up burnt out on the side of the road, when the Webber carburettor kindly set fire to the air filter 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️Really looking forward to the series 👍👍
Our pleasure! Fella 👍
Nice one Al , met a nice girl who became my wife while out and about in my dads 2.0 s in the early 80's...
fond memories of steamy windows on a Saturday night.... 😜
Top quality 👍
Haven't seen a CRAPI in years. As always great to watch, now we have BILL and Ben to watch twice as much entertainment,.

Well done Al …can’t wait for the next one
I love a old Ford, they're just like Milfs, a bit crusty and rough around the edges but still a good ride.
Cant wait for the series on this project👍👍👍👍

That engine start brings back memories, all the best wit the rebuild👍 look forward to seeing updates
Great video AL good filmage
Oh guys love this, after a large tyre blow out on the M6. It was a good one, me and the lad are a bit down. Watching you guys with one of the cars i grew up working on has cheered me up
Darn hope your all ok ! 👍
@@6DDIESELSDorset yes thank you, we did it properly though, you would be proud!
Years ago, one of our neighbours drove a Cortina from new as a taxi. Sold it at 75000 miles and it's condition supported that mileage. Only had a 5-digit odometer, of course, MOT tester just recorded whatever mileage was showing so you can guess the rest.
My dad had a red Capri 1.6l 1977
Another great video has always al 👍
Sunday just got better, thanks Al for another great video!
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Yes my last Capri was a laser..i want another one and this time I'm holding on to it for life .. i know what you have there is quite good really not a lot of rot on the important bits and patching up panels or getting panels isn't too hard ..i hope you get her in a roadworthy state ..i have 3 grand saved so far I'm aiming at getting a laser 1.6 or 2.0 in fair condition with an MOT im paying somewhere in the region of four to five grand . By all means if you can look out for me it'll be a great help @ anyone ? Cheers 😎👍 Great video I'm subscribed looking forward to future videos
Fair play wat a good project you will do a 100% of a good job rebuilding it al as you know wat your doing on all sorts of vehicles I enjoy watching your videos mate
What can you say but brilliant yet again and nice to see a compatriot called fudge helping out with content
love an old ford and well 6d diesel buddy love when you fix all different motors that's what i like about your channel and that you got in to detail on how to fix engines etc love it al buddy keep up the good work and keep the awesome videos coming buddy
Loved the capri on Sundays 6DD instalment ….the Recovery motor looks good in the background !! Thanks Al 👍🏼
Yes it does
CITY& GUILDS 380-381 TRAINED on them early 1980s PINTO ohc motor . STILL widely used today .
Oh wow fantastic job getting that engine running
I love the Pinto engines. Very easy to work on. I have had Capri, MK5 cortina's, and Sierra's and Granada's MK2 and MK3 with the pinto and when ever I bought one, I used to take the head off and regrind the valves and de-coke them, new cam belt etc. All in an afternoon.
And add a new Oil spray bar!
Sounds pretty sweet does that!
Well I’ve just watched this Sunday’s episode and got my fix of Al 6D Diesels videos. What great one. New project to get your teeth into. As if it was in any doubt that it would start. Once you had checked for sparkles, added a drop of sniff and did a bit of charring on zee ignition it cracked off. Nice to also bit of Tommy two knobage which will look the part back in the dashboard.
Nice top quality video for a Sunday morning 😊 Nice one Al👌
Sounds like a descent engine
Nice project al 👍 👍
1985 Kawasaki GPZ 900r will it start? Theres yer next video Al
Excellent Al!
I feel your pain.
Im currently trying to get my 2.0 pinto to idle reasonably with an unknow fiesty cam in it🙄
I don’t know if it’s because I’m a few beers in watching this but how many beers were you two?
Another great video. Looking forward to seeing this progress!
The variety of motors on this channel is great.
Goto love the capri Al great to see so many different projects going on
Wouldn’t be 6d diesels without a bit of Tommy two knobbage lol.
And a tape deck too!! Posh 😂
@@6DDIESELSDorsetat my work I have some of the orange bonnet release pull catches if u r interested in them
Ahhhh my first car was a Ford Capri....I couldnt see over the steering wheel and the rear end slid all over the place.
What sort of money are Mk3 Capri projects selling for nowadays in Southern England looks like good bodywork for a laser ,Thanks for Sunday video would be great to see more of Capri as your pal progresses with project
You are just the King of everything Sir 🎩👍👍👍
Oh come 6D you need some drag shoe's, you are agricultural, they used them for braking farm carts for centurys...
Interesting to know it might have come from Mr Bean...Great repartie...
Ive got 5 gallons of rust killer....
Great entertainment, would the Kawasaki be for sale?
Love the capri.... not in too bad condition all things considered.
Another great video guys well done
If there's a channel that could buy & reassemble the Range rover on Salvage rebuilds, this would be it👍
Indeed
They seem to be sort of placing it back in one lump at current , I did have a bit of a Range Rover hoarding problem about 20 years ago … I haven’t ventured there since 👍
@6DDIESELSDorset hoarding I don't believe you🤣one of the best channels on RUclips & your heading in the right direction. When others cotton on to your channel, only way is up Al 🍻👌
@@6DDIESELSDorset
Well maybe nows the time to rekindle that spark ⚡️
Chris and Al , my dream garage
Golf gti mk1 last week , Capri 2ltr Lazer this week , its like my dream garage when I was 17 😆, keep it up Al , loving the content , could use an update on a few previous vehicles , like all of them. Have they gone to new homes? , pushed back into barns/fields? Are you tazzing round in them as personal/work vehicles , just a follow up on old projects would be amazing
Yes we are on it lol pug 309’s coming you’ll see that hovering above a Capri. Kangoo d’s nearly sorted and the 3 wheeled vans coming soon . Not forgetting a man’s riot van 👍
@@6DDIESELSDorset noice, mans looking forward to it
a bit of morning after the night before 12 pints of words worth 4x as an example
OOOH a ford , yes please
I miss my old Capri, Reg C83EWO if anyone knows it whereabouts
Motorcycles are the way forward
Ex-Pressed Steel Panels. Quality or Magnum Panels cheaper but inferior
Whats the matter with Fudge, smart tie 12ish no beer till 3, lots of missed laser time...
😂😂 I'll make the time up soon enough! As long as there's no more family weddings coming up any time soon 😉
Tidy fudge
❤
Should not have past Fords 80s Quality control , they forgot to fully inject with salt water before leaving Dagenham.
Must have been a Friday afternoon car 😂😂
Those auto chokes were absolutely useless
It’s does have a cable pick up ! Just packing the cable lol 👍
1986 makes it one of the last they made. It wasn't long after that Ford lost the plot and just ruined the newer cars.
Get rid of that weedy 2 litre and stick a V8 in it!
what`s that bloody whistling ??????
CrapE’s are meh good video tho.. I love pintos
if you said E reg then its 1988 as D reg is 87 i had a d reg for many years
E reg was 87 88 so could well be a 87.would be very late to have a e on a capri.
@@ivanfernyhough3851 YEP I KNOW AND I KNEW SOME ONE WAS GOING TO SAY THIS BUT TO ME D REG IS 87 E REG 88,I DONT GO D REG IS 86/87 MUCH EASIER TO SAY IT THAT WAY
True but its still wrong.a is 8384 b is 8485 c is 8586 etc.todays modern numbers are crap.far harder to understand than the good old days
It's a c reg first registered march 1986..got the v5 today 😊
