Temperature Of Wax

  • So many Estheticians and home waxers ask "What is the best temperature to keep the wax at?" While I understand why you might think that the temperature matters, I wanted to explain why the temperature is the wrong thing to focus on. First, wax warmers come in all different sizes. Even wax warmers of the same size, doesn't mean they will heat the same way when set to the same temperature. It also matters how full the warmer is; the fuller the warmer, the more you'll need to turn the warmer up to keep the wax consistency regulated. The temperature of the room and environment you're in will play a huge roll as to where to put the temperature of the warmer to. Instead, you need to focus on the consistency of the wax, which should move like honey or molasses. Make sure you keep stirring the wax as this will ensure the top layer doesn't harden!

What do you recommend if your using it for your own personal use? I use to wax frequently at EWC but decided to do it myself at home. I have watched a lot of your videos which is really helpful and closely watched the esthetician’s when they would wax. I will be using my wax for full body use from neck to toe lol. I will be the only one using it. My hair growth is usually every 4 weeks.

So I'm new to the esthetician world. Just got my license and I want to get into waxing mainly but I feel fairly new and in my school we hardly had models. What do you recommend to get better at waxing? Any notes i should take? I'm so scared in starting

You should start in EWC. There is where everybody start waxing. They will have 2 weeks training and you'll learn basically everything with time.

Hey! I love your videos and I've just began waxing, I saw your question about double dipping and wanted to ask is I usually remove the excess wax from the stick before dipping the stick back into the wax/adding wax to the area, is that okay?
