What Direction Do You Wax?

- Not sure what direction you need to wax? I can help! You always want to apply the first hard wax strip in the direction of the hair growth. Then remove in the opposite direction. Next, you can apply the "clean up strips" in the opposite direction of the hair growth. And then remove the strip in the direction of the hair growth! Enjoy.

I'm so confused as to why sugar waxing is the opposite.
Same. That's why I'm here searching youtube 😭
to avoid getting ingrown hairs when your hair grows back, because you apply the sugar wax opposite of the growth direction, that means you're gonna be pulling it in the actual direction of the hair growth
@@teamslays5092 so why can’t that be done with just regular wax??
@@cam-zl7qk from what i've been able to gather it seems like a combination of reasons, waxing is more sturdy in the way it removes hair compared to sugaring, and performing the wax application against the grain seems to grab too much of the hair and once that hardened wax sets around it, pulling the wax will break the hair and not remove it from the root, as well as this can for some reason that i couldnt confirm - lead to skin lifting, and skin injuries.
sugaring seems to be equally effective at grabbing the hair, however sugaring doesnt harden so it wont be able to break the hair, just pull it.
another reason why it seems with sugaring hair can be removed with the grain might be because it should. since sugaring isnt able to grab the skin and pull on the skin, it might also provide less of an ingrown hair preventive effect, in other words, the skin might not be "exfoliated" enough by the hair removal therefore more easily leading to ingrown hairs because less dead skin is removed from the upper layers of skin. BUT if you pull with the hair growth the hair is not forced into any unnatural positions and can grow back normally leading ingrowns to be less likely.
(this last paragraph is highly speculative since i've been able to find no concrete evidence that hair will have trouble growing back (out of the skin) due to the specific removal direction. )
So helpful! Thank you!
Love your videos🌼
Awesome! Thank you!!
Absolutely!
I have in growth issue and so I wanted to try hard wax since it is like sugaring. Sugaring is pulled in the same direction of hair growth so why can't hard wax be pulled like that
I just stared waxing my legs with glee wax strips and I lay it down knee to ankle and pull the opposite but when I’m done I have spots that are smooth and spots that are prickly sprinkles all over. So it’s like pulling out maybe half and the other half are just breaking off. Am I doing something wrong? Or are my leg hairs just all growing in different directions making it impossible (for me) to wax correctly?
You should do a giveaway! Maybe of a wax warmer with wax beans
That's a great idea!! I'm actually coming out with my own wax brand and will be doing this after it launches! www.mermaidwax.com
How do you tell which direction the hair grows?
By which way it's laying :)
I am from India 🇮🇳.. seeing your video for the first time.... can you suggest a wax which will use at home.. please..
Unfortunately I'm not familiar with what waxes are offered in India, my apologies!
I still don't understand. I sugar wax but with strips so in what direction I have to apply my wax?
Strip wax or hard wax.... Along the direction of hair and you'll be pulling it from the opposite direction
Eg: leg hairs grow downwards a.k.a towards your feet, so the direction of the wax application is from the knee to feet and pull the wax strip or the hard wax from the feet side toward ur knee (i.e upwards)
Hope this helps

Could you please send me the link of wax and heater?
I have a question I'm using hard wax to wax my armpit and I'm trying to figure out what direction my hair grows. For example, when I rub my hand going up starting from the bottom it feels like stubble but when I rub it going down it starting from the top instead, it feels smooth so I'm trying to figure out do I start going up then down or down and up?
Sounds like your hair grows downwards. Then you apply downwards and pull off upwards
When your using soft wax and using it with wax strips do you still apply it that same way
@@briannataylor8369 I did it many times the way you have explained it and that is how I understood it but I always break the hairs, should I do it slower and I pulling to fast?
Can you tell us the Best type of hard wax beans ?

Not to rub your nose in it but to convince you Tell everybody that you know think twice. Consider doing it for at least 30 days before you actually do it. Most likely it's somebody waits 30 days they'll come to this senses and realize they really don't want a phone number or an address on their arm
Nope, I've had my tattoos for over 10 years and still love them and would do it all over again. Sorry you feel differently, but don't assume everyone feels the same way as you. Who would put a phone number or address on their arm? Not sure what you're referring to.
Braincell shortage?
I bet you are so sorry you put those crazy numbers in lines and scribbles on your pretty arm
I got two tattoos when I was 15 years old and I'm sorry that I did because I lived my whole life with those stupid things not even betraying who I really am now today
