Best Temperature For Soft Wax

  • I constantly have people asking what the best temperature for soft wax is. However, that answer will vary greatly depending on the temperature of your room, the wax warmer that you're using, the type/brand of soft wax, the humidity in your room, the temperature outside, how much wax is in the warmer, the airflow in your room, etc. Instead, what you should focus on is the consistency of the wax! The wax should move slowly like honey or molasses. If the wax moves too slow, then it's not warm enough. If the wax moves too fast, then it's too hot and you can/will burn yourself or your client. Most likely, you'll also have to adjust the temperature gage slightly up and down throughout the day to keep it consistent. Overtime, you'll be able to just look at your wax and know if the consistency is correct. Practice makes perfect!

Hi Kristen, do you have a video that shows self-applying ear waxing? I looked but didn't see one. I did see the two where you perform the waxing. Love your videos. Thank you!

What's the best at home wax beads to use besides the mermaid wax beads? I need something that is just a little bit cheaper.

Do you recommend using baby powder before waxing at home? I seen that you use it on the underarms, what abt using it on the legs before waxing?

Personally I only use powder if I'm doing either underarms or bikini/brazilian. Some people like to use powder on other area like legs, but normally I don't :)

Can i use the same wax warmer for both my hard wax and soft wax ? Or are there specific soft wax warmers and specific hard wax warmers?

    Thank you so very much!
One little remark: Maybe, could you speak a little more slowly? Your videos are so incredibly helpful, but not being a native english speaker (german instead), I do have some trouble to follow your words. Would be very much appreciated :-)
