Raquel obviously wants to talk about Three Musketeers and he’s all over the shop, every time she gets going he dampens down the conversation by going oblique. Hard to believe he hosted one of the great chat shows. RIP Raquel, you were fabulous.
I saw an interview with Richard Chamberlain about the the making of the movie. The movie was suppose to be one movie, with an intermission. After the production wrapped, they decided that it was going to be split into two movies. Now the actors would only be paid for the one movie, but Raquel had an iron clad contract; and it because of her contract and legal team, that the rest of the cast was paid like she was, for both movies.
FUN FUN interview. Takes a little while for the two of them to get comfortable but once they do it flows nice. What a treat. Great posting and Raquel is oh so cute and funny.
I wish we knew what year this interview took place. If it took place in 2012, Raquel would have been 72 years old. AMAZING ! Raquel came across as intelligent, classy, and warmhearted . Dick Cavett looked and behaved like an obnoxious, dated, silly old man. She put up with his stupid and rude remarks when she could have made him look like an utter fool. Her interview with Piers Morgan was much better.
I attended the night Raquel hosted the viewing of One Million Years BC. She told some funny stories about the making of the movie and said she preferred Ray Harryhausen’s dinosaurs over Steven Spielberg’s😂She got a round of applause for saying that!
STICKITINYOYREAR is dead-on...Raquel had such class. Dick just comes across like a Dick. All the way through the interview it's like Cavett has regressed to the mentality of a 12 year old boy making stupid remarks and stupid observations...and Raquel suffers his foolishness with such grace
Dick is speaking nearly all the time for the first 9 minuttes!!! I¨m leaving. By the way I like how elegant and well spoken Raquel was. So intelligent and full of wisdom.
Racquel still looks fabulous! Obviously she had some work done, but maybe her upbeat attitude keeps her young. As for Dick Cavett, I watched him religiously back in the 1960s-70s, but he is hopelessly dull and ridiculous here.
Geez, Dick Cavett is a crashing bore. Charming Raquel struggles valiantly. What a beautiful raconteur. p.s. Dick Lester said "no reason" because all the dialogue around her was 'boob jokes'.
It's interesting that Racquel describes Irish actor Stephen Boyd rejecting her sexual advances and hints that he was gay. In fact there is no evidence of this - he had many affairs with beautiful women and was married twice. He tragically died in 1977 of a sudden, massive heart attack while playing golf with his wife, he was aged just 45.
The late actor Stephen Boyd was from Northern Ireland - Racquel says she believes he was Scottish or Welsh... and eventually settles on Welsh! Americans never get British accents!
Wasn't this supposed to be an interview regarding the movie? Only once does Cavett even ask about Raquel's involvement in the movie. And there's still 3 more hours of this interview to go!
Cavett is typical of old goats who were once in a position of popularity and power and who don't realize that their style--such as it was--has become hopelessly dated. He was always pompous and smug, but it is really grating here. The offhand comment about Tipi Hedren was just to call attention to his superiority. Raquel, of course, handles it all with great aplomb and good humor.
In defence of The legendary Dick Cavett, he was drunk during this interview, he has since admitted it, that he regrets being a little tipsy during that interview he was nervous and is very close friends with Raquel Welch, he has since apologized to Raquel Welch, but she wasn't even mad and didn't noticed he was drunk, but he has since regretted it. He usually does amazing interviews.
@@junegiovanni6475 It's embarrassing. He is a lecherous leering fool here. Almost every sentence has a sexual reference to her. I think maybe he also is getting dementia as well as being drunk
love her shes as beautiful as ever , cavett is a bit of a disaster, he seems a little out of it ,please could they have not given that poor women a proper chair .
He was good in his prime but he has become a horrible bore. And he's always trying to outwit the people he's interviewing. And he drops names shamelessly. Raquel's charming but he's just a bore.
I liked the Dick Cavett show but every complaint about him here is justified. It did not matter how many times Raquel tried to talk about the movie, Dick thought it was about a book she wrote at best.
Omfg. From 10 yrs ago and the comments back and forth w/sexual innuendos were cringy even for that time before me2 movement. They are both from that generation. The chairs alone should have made her walk off the set. Lol.
I had no idea she trained for ballet. Interesting. I've heard so many bad things about her, but she comes off well here. Cavett seems like a child and rather insulting.
Stephen Boyd, was not Homosexual. He was married, and loved his wife. To the day he died on the golf course. How Raquel came to that conclusion? (He was Irish. Not Welsh.) (Stephen Boyd was not a member Of the Laurence Olivier group. Richard Chamberlain was... I would guess...but, maybe not. She could have got her actors Mixed up...Richard Chamberlain. He was Homosexual. I think, she got the characters In her nostalgic memory.... Mixed up.
Dick thinks everything is about him. Dick~~a conversation with Raquel Welch about "The Three Musketeers" is not "Recollections of Cavett's Most Boring Stories". At least Dick has the right first name. EGO. EGO. EGO.
Unfortunately, it’s his generation, still grasping for a sexual laugh. It’s what made my generation feel borderline creeped out with out a voice and this generation aware of how creepy it is and vocalize it. And this is 2022 now. Not sure how long ago this is from ( 9 yrs ago?) so I imagine watching it now is even more offensive. I’m 68 now and it makes me cringe.
Epic fail by Cavett. Welch continuously has to rescue him and the interview. He simply isn't witty or smart enough for her. And he had a job which was to talk about The 3 Musketeers movie as much as possible.
I had always thought of Dick Cavett as an inellectual. I had seen him interiew Isaac Asimov and was impressed. I guess that was more due to Asimov than Cavett. He is (at least through time stamp 10.01 a simpering fool. The humor is sophmoric and boring. At 21.25 it seems that she is bored with him and asks him to get on with talking about the film. I am not sure if she is unintelligent or she was just speaking at his level. i found this inspipid.
She's not the best person to interview. I can see why she didn't get along with many of her co-stars while making movies. A B rated actress never got to be a serious leading lady. Just a face and great body but nothing much to work with. RIP
The majority of films she made were lead roles.. If you mean parts where she had to play unattractive characters that was never going to happen. Not to the most beautiful woman in Hollywood history.
Raquel obviously wants to talk about Three Musketeers and he’s all over the shop, every time she gets going he dampens down the conversation by going oblique. Hard to believe he hosted one of the great chat shows. RIP Raquel, you were fabulous.
she is so real....love her beauty talent and being true to herself.
My God, She is beautiful.
Rest in Peace Ms Welch
I adore her whispery voice.
What an icon!

The movie set a legal president in that regard….. if you release two movies you pay the crew and cast twice…..you can’t ‘cheat’.
Rip miss Raquel Welch❤❤❤
Interesting interview- wish Raquel would've been able to talk more about the making of one of her best movies and roles.
Raquel Welch is witty. Thanks for posting.
The perfect 10. ❤️
FUN FUN interview. Takes a little while for the two of them to get comfortable but once they do it flows nice. What a treat. Great posting and Raquel is oh so cute and funny.

And yes, Cavett was a complete clown. No real talent there.
Very true. What a waste.
Spike Mulligan - Aww bless you Racquel!
What a sit pose.. love it.. already find it iconic..
Dick is speaking nearly all the time for the first 9 minuttes!!! I¨m leaving. By the way I like how elegant and well spoken Raquel was. So intelligent and full of wisdom.
RAQUEL is just the MOST!! Its guna be a long time before another girl like RAQUEL passes the worlds way shes FUCKING INCREDIBLE AS ALWAYS
RW is so entertaining!
Racquel still looks fabulous! Obviously she had some work done, but maybe her upbeat attitude keeps her young. As for Dick Cavett, I watched him religiously back in the 1960s-70s, but he is hopelessly dull and ridiculous here.
How lovely she is
GODDESS !!!!!!
he used to. give him a chance. he deserves respect, too.
all raquel wants to do is talk about the three musketeers and this old dude is bringing up 13yo felacio as point of topic. what a creep!
A truly gorgeous woman
She pulled of the comedy in the roll as well…..
Geez, Dick Cavett is a crashing bore. Charming Raquel struggles valiantly. What a beautiful raconteur. p.s. Dick Lester said "no reason" because all the dialogue around her was 'boob jokes'.
Excelente charla!...
Cavett seems like he is drunk or something. Raquel carry’s the interview.
Welch has been signed to do a TV movie with Gina Gershon for Lifetime network.
He's such an insufferable prig. She is class personified!
The most beautiful woman in history, IMHO.
Damn shame there is only a wide camera shot in this interview
Yup

Dick Cavett is not up to this gig anymore. He is not listening to her...
This man revenged Ms. West's soul, rest in peace.
The late actor Stephen Boyd was from Northern Ireland - Racquel says she believes he was Scottish or Welsh... and eventually settles on Welsh! Americans never get British accents!
RAQUEL WELCH IS ICONIC ! THURSDAY 6/1/24 AUGUST 1, 2024
Sucha timeless foxy honey.
SHE COULD NOT LEAVE THAT DAMN WIG ALONE!! AWAYS PLAYING WITH IT.
Classy Woman.
Poor Raquel, he really over estimates our interest in listening to him waffle away

This, exactly, it is amazing he gained the popularity he did.
How old she is here?!
dead interview
love raquel

u rok!!
This Lady did not deserve this sad interviewer
love her shes as beautiful as ever , cavett is a bit of a disaster, he seems a little out of it ,please could they have not given that poor women a proper chair .
Not much discussion about the movie the Three musketeers 🤫🤔🙄🙄🙄
What is up with that interviewer - how did he land this job? Raquel really is carrying this interview - his random comments are just unnecessary.
Well...he's Dick Cavett. Kinda his job.
funny how she locks up the bottom tighter than heck, but the top is open for all
ITS HARDER FOR WOMEN TO SHOW LEGS AS THEY AGE THAN BOOBS. THEY CAN USE TRICKS TO ENHANCE CLEAVAGE. LEGS SHOW AGE
Seems like they could had better chairs that would flatter the beautiful Rachel Welch...
Cavett is a Treeible interviewer...or been drinking~
the only one to give her competition was Sophia Lauren.
He was good in his prime but he has become a horrible bore. And he's always trying to outwit the people he's interviewing. And he drops names shamelessly. Raquel's charming but he's just a bore.

Yes, and his sexual innuendo here throughout the entire interview is in a creepy lecherous pervy old man vibe. Not a good look on him at all
Don’t bother watching this. The Three Musketeers was a great movie. Unfortunately, this interview almost completely ignores the movie!
What an awkward interview...
Raquel Welch father is from Bolivia?
He comes from a very distinguished family in La Paz, Bolivia. Her uncle made me a beautiful 18k Tiahuanaco ring.!!! (He is a jeweler).

Thumbs up if you came for Cavett.
Yay, Raquel though!

Dick Cavett used to be such an intelligent and sensitive interviewer. When did he turn into a lecherous old fart?
Yeah he is gross here
She is annoyed with him.....As a fan of hers, so am I.....
He keeps making everything about himself, somehow.
Ms. Welch is not a woman. A force of nature is closer to the point. I'd except goddess.
YEP...
I had no idea she trained for ballet. Interesting. I've heard so many bad things about her, but she comes off well here. Cavett seems like a child and rather insulting.
Janis Joplin was one of the originators of the "27 Club" how could they get that wrong 🤔

He is definetly drunk. Thanks to R.W. she saves the day. Surprising they let him on the stage.!!
King of the awkward interview.

She sure has some big bosom!!
This is ghastly, hard to know who is to blame, but Dick Cavett does not seem to lead any dialogue, so it meanders everywhere, pity.
Even though she was a "few" pounds overweight --she was still a classy lady.
He is awful!!!!
Unfortunately, it’s his generation, still grasping for a sexual laugh. So sick. This is a man

I like her! She seems honest.
No I'm calling bullshit on that period she was very talented. She's just better educated and far more erudite than the people she's talking to.
The majority of films she made were lead roles.. If you mean parts where she had to play unattractive characters that was never going to happen. Not to the most beautiful woman in Hollywood history.
