Hey there! I want to ask you something, So i was just building my new pc, with b550m pro vdh wifi, so the problem is, when im installing windows, my ssd cant be detected. But in the BIOS, the ssd is detected. So im stuck in this problem, i cant install windows. Can someone help me?
Try making sure no other storage is plugged in when I stalling windows so it o Lu sees the drive you want to install the OS on. Another thing and probably first is you need to initialize or format the drive at install. Basically the OS installer can’t see it yet. Try these. The final thing is you’ll need to get disk drivers and put them on a usb and plug they on when you go to install.
Yeah if you take out the CMOS battery and then let the computer sit for 10-15 min before replacement, or just jump the clear cmos jumper then replace, your bios will reset.
I just build my pc and I installed windows 11 on it but no WiFi is showing up for it. I went into the bios and turned on WiFi only and still no WiFi what can be the problem.
Thanks for Really helpful video, I recently bought this and I want to ask one thing, for wifi and Bluetooth there are two drivers (Intel and amd), which one to install?
@@chiiv999 bro this Mobo is for amd so only amd processors will work on this Mobo, i wonder why MSI put Intel software in driver download for this Mobo.
My bios shows with glitches and missing textures. My graphics card works fine and I’ve updated the bios. Idk what else to do, because I cannot return it. Kept it long after return date before even using it.
I oc my factory 3200mhz ddr4 16gb ram to 3200mhz and causes memory errors, with windows memory diagnostic tools showing error and i had to tone it down to 3000mhz to be stable. I set the voltage to 1.35v and beyond that have instability too, the timings i set are pretty high too What ram are you using and what did i do wrong.
The instability isn't a blue screen or anything like that. But shows memory error before shutting down or restart. And file corrupt when downloading from steam. Ssd is fine. At 3000mhz everything is fine
So if you are going to make a video on flashing the bios might mention that the file name should be changed in the beginning of the video instead of the end of it. After you bottle neck everyone to pull everything apart to flash the main board then re build their pc.
What do I need to do when my computer start only in the bios but never open the Operational system? I had 8 gb of ram 3200, and installed another identical, 2×8 3200 but my pc wont start the operational sustem for nothing, only start in the bios and J dont know what to do

Are you sure you have the correct BIOS for your motherboard? I recently had a board very similar to this one, except it's full name was B550M Pro-VDH Wifi6, the 6 being the difference. Notice how his motherboard name is different. I could never find a BIOS that my board would accept. When I finally tried to force a BIOS from this board using good old-fashioned DOS utility, I was met with an error saying the BIOS chip was write-protected. That's when I gave up! :D On the worldwide MSI site, they list a B550M Pro-VDH Wifi (CEC) board, which I believe is used only across the pond. Comparing the two I noticed that the CEC board uses a Wifi6 Intel chip, and also has different PCIE slots. I concluded that at some point MSI created a hybrid of these two original boards but did not create BIOS updates for that special board. My board was part of a barebones MSI system, which I know use different BIOS files. Like I said, tried them all and all were rejected. When I did try the special barebones system BIOS, it looked like it would accept it as it recognized the file as valid, but after selecting it the system would advise me that upgrading the BIOS would prevent me from going back to an older BIOS, I would accept and hit ok (enter), after which the system would do nothing. Never have encountered so much BIOS nonsense!
@@agoogleuser9025 It's labeled that way on the pcb, just under the m.2 heatsink. Also, when I built up the system using a 1st gen Ryzen CPU, the BIOS settings screen listed it as that "Wifi6", unlike just "Wifi" as seen in this video where they are working with the retail version of this board. My board came installed in the barebones system. After getting over the frustration, I pondered the situation a little more and realized that it's likely that an older BIOS version (the barebones systems only have two BIOS versions, and the second is relatively old by now) may be all that's needed for all Ryzen 5000 series CPUs. It is a 500 series chipset after all. I was thinking it needed to be much more recent, twisting the fact that new BIOS versions that were finally released for the 300 series chipset boards. So I bought another barebones system after sending two back. This time using the BIOS Flashback button I got the light to blink 15 times and then stop, so I'm not sure if it updated successfully or not. BIOS updates usually take much longer than about 15 seconds, but I've never used a Flashback button before.
If you use M-Flash from within the BIOS, you need a compatible CPU to be able to get into the BIOS in the first place. This is known as a successful POST (power on self test). So if your particular board's BIOS doesn't already support 5th gen Ryzen, you need an older CPU to use M-Flash. You could however use the BIOS Flashback feature on this motherboard to flash a BIOS version that supports 5th gen Ryzen. In that case, you need NO CPU at all, just power to the motherboard. Good luck!
hi man im going to buy : msi b550-A pro + rx 6950xt + r7 5800x3d + ram ddr4 16gb (8x2) 3600mhz i wanna know is this motherboard is good with that combo and should i do a bios flash back first or i do bios update after turning on the pc and does the setting u did in the video will be good with me (msi b550-A pro)???? thank u so much 💙💙🙏🙏
Hey man can you please answer my question I want to use the ryzen 5 5600g with this mother board bit in dont see the integrated graphics settings in advanced options I want to set the memory share to 2gb for the apu.
Try going here: Settings, Advanced, then Integrated Peripherals. Check out the 5:55 mark. I'm not 100% sure, but the setting for your shared memory might be there. Let me know!
am i able to do all this while my cpu is already installed into my motherboard or should i flash the motherboard before i install my cpu into the motherboard?
You can flash the bios after everything has been installed. The only reason to do it before hand is if there are compatibility issues where the cpu won’t work until a later bios has been installed.
@MiddleofKnowhere yeah that's what's wrong with my Motherboard and cpu it tells me that it won't be compatible unless I have the latest Motherboard bios update so does that mean I should do it before installing my pc and if so can I still install all the other parts
Unless there is a sticker on the BIOS chip (Like ASRock does) or a marking in the user manual or elsewhere, the only way I've been able to do it is contact the mobo maker's customer support and provide them with the serial number and date of purchase. MSI responded to me when I did that.
The I/O shield should have a bios marking on it. Also consult the manual specifically. I also think I might touch on it in my overview video of the motherboard in the rear I/O section of the vid.
@@Mo-kl4fb I have a similar issue but I can't even use the update AMD wifi driver method when the wifi device doesn't even show up in the device manager. The updater will just say there is no compatible wifi driver. Did the clean reinstall still gave me the same result.
