I have the same mobo and cpu. It's not guaranteed that out of the box it will have the right bios version so I just used the bios flash feature. I haven't even built my pc yet i just did this with only the motherboard and psu (as well as a usb stick with the right bios on). no only need b550 to get pcie4, u must change de processor too, 5600g does not have pcie4. :D, 5600x have pci 4.0 much more pcie lines and 32mb of cache on the l3.- I assure you that this set gives more than 5%😄
it comes with the board, no need to purchase separately, I bought mine just a few weeks ago. Just make sure that you buying the wifi one not the regular one :)

@@kagekuro8884 I used a Deepcool 400 EX for my 5600x and it was enough with a margin.I don't recommend a stock cooler, buy a Deepcool and you will be ok

5th generation ryzen needs a bios update to work on this motherboard just use a usb and the bios button on the back of the board

Check the manufacturing date from the serial number. Cross check from bios version dates in MSI website.

I put a 5700X on this motherboard and it didn't work. I update the BIOS and still the CPU debut LED didn't swichs off.

I use b450 with 5600g and rx6600 ;) not worth upgrading to b550 just to get pcie4 advantage (which is ~5% fps boost) IMO
