Picked up this machine one sale during the holiday season and this has been so helpful for someone new to the hobby. Thank you!!
you're most welcome! feel free to reach back out if you need any tips!
Such a thorough video!
Right?
Great video ❤☕️👍🏽
Thanks man, you helped me alot
you're welcome!
Though i am not a fan of using Temu, the upgrades to the ECP series are definitely needed IMO
Bought one used for 39eur. Scale 22eur. Bottomless PF 21eur. 1zpresso q2 100eur
Other small items 20eur
200eur for a very decent espresso experience. The Q2 grinder doubles as a travel companion together with my aeropress
The porta filter I bought from Temu is much better quality than the one that came with the machine. It has a solid black handle.
I bought a new ecp3630 3 weeks ago for 75.99 then bought the rest of the items similar to what you have off Temu for an additional 35 dollars, I already had the scale so for $105 I'm pretty pleased. I was really surprised at the sale on the delonghi and just manufactured at the end of January.
amazing! that's a steal
How do you like the ecp3630? I just ordered one on Amazon
@viet01 I like it, it took me about 4 tries to dial it in to where I was getting consistent shots but I'm sort of new to espresso.
@@raymartin3527 I’m new as well but can’t wait to start haha
I have the same model and noticed i can't tamp it as he did in the video. when i do, it drips out. Do you have the same issue?
Tnx:)
Nice we have like the same setup! Same scale from Temu too lol
amazing! I hope it's going well for you!
Thanks!
I just posted an espresso video yesterday check it out if you have a chance.
Great video! Would you possibly have a link to the scale from Temu? I’m looking at a scale from SHEIN but it looks a lot smaller than yours! I have a similar setup with my ECP3420 and I noticed other peoples extractions come out more fully throughout the shower screen (my shots come out the same as yours like at 10:26 ) so I recently saw a video from Toms Coffee Corner where he replaces the factory shower screen with an IMS one and it looks like his extractions become more on par with more expensive machines, just a thought in case you were wondering the same thing or looking to upgrade the machine further!
thanks! I wanted to put links in the description, but unfortunately, with items going out of order is the reason I didn't. I found a similar one here share.temu.com/CCz56jSgEcA but I still recommend searching for some. and I appreciate that! i will definitely look into it
What do you think about ikape brand? Is it worth it? Do you have some references to get all this set?
Yeah and plus that 1zpresso grinder that cost more expensive than ECP machine itself hehe
😄 no doubt about that!
@@YD.00 here in Finland, ECP cost 109€. And 1Zpresso 150€ 😁🥴
pretty similar to the US actually! I think I bought the espresso machine for a bit more 😅
@@YD.00 some 2, even 1 year ago, hand grinders were much cheaper. Now when they became popular, companies up the price 🏷️ 🥴🤷♂️
@SupremeVlad you're absolutely right 💯 that's business for you
Good video and a Long way to a real good extraction as everyone goes )
I saw your coffee is roasted like an italian - too dark, that is why a lot of taste notes are killed. That was also my starting point of failure)
Check medium and medium dark roasted coffee from Costa rica, ephiopia, guatemala or kongo. 👍 They give you rich and creamy drink. You will forget these italian carbons)
Your dose must be a little lower. Now actually you get your coffee squeesed by shower screen. Give it 3-5 mm more space
thanks for the tip! I've been eyeing some Ethiopian beans for a bit. Ill be sure to give them a try!
I did a nickle test (Same thickness as my puck screen) and it's actually just right in terms of the amount of grinds I put in! tried 16.5g for a while
@@YD.00 weight and volume depends on the coffee beans. 19 gr of costa rica coffee is equal in volume to 15 gr of brazilian
But when you squeeze it to hard in portafilter you dontvallow coffee to incorporate water and overextract it
ahh okay, that makes sense. i will take your advice and adjust appropriately! I appreciate it and youre absolutely right. i do have dial in new beans accordingly so it's definitely not a set it once and leave it!
I went straight to Medium Roast and although the coffee is nice and juicy is a bit too much acidic(citrus notes) for me. My next purchase is going to be medium-dark for sure.
@gipsasl let me know how that goes! I always used medium roast..
hi, thank you so much for the great video , I have recently bought a portafilter but coffee sprays out and splash every where rathenr than may cup! do you think the reason is the portafilter that doesn fit well or there is issue with my grinding ?
Hey! It's possibly the grind size but could also be tamping. Make sure it's tamped evenly, and before tamped, it's distributed (no clumps before you tamp)
@@YD.00 thank you so much for the reply! I will try and ask again if there is still issue🙏 I’m very new to this world so I need an expert help😅 thanks again
@zibazare7056 I'm not expert! just another hobby 😄
It feels like the pump will be forced to extract such fine coffee
How do you descale this machine properly?
Hey man im using the same machine with a 51mm bottomless portafilter as well but if i put more than 15g of coffee it wont fit in the machine with a puck screen. Also i cant seem to find a scale that would fit with a cup on top of
hey! how are you grinding the beans? and are you tampering it down with the factory plastic tamper? scale wise, I'm with you on that, I can make the cup fit but I have to put the portafilter on first and then work my cup in. depends on the cup size of course
@@YD.00 the beans are preground, aftermarket tamper with the click. I have a kingrinder k6 order on the way, thats why im using pre ground for now. Oh and the coffee is about to expire in a week or so. (Thanks for replying)
@7akeem1999 If it's the preground that's prebought in package, that would be the case! espresso grinder is very fine. good luck! and would love to hear how it goes with the grinder you receive
@@YD.00 thanks for the reply, yea i wont judge any of the process until i get the grinder. For now, it extracts too quick and i think grinding finer would fix that. Side question, if im finding it difficult to get an even tamp, could it be the tamper or am i doing it wrong? im even using the 90 degree elbow method.
I think the coarseness of the coffee plays a roll. I've been there with the preground coffee and tamping never turns out. my tamper has a spring and balance gasket so it sits on top of the rim of the portafilter. helps keep things even. something to consider if you still get uneven tamps when you start grinding your beans
Anyone know the difference between the 3420 and the 3220?
3420 has more metal parts and longer steam pipe but not 100% sure about pipe.
What size is the basket and where did you get it
51mm and got it from Temu. make sure to look for the ones with 2 ear
Hello, did the portafilter came with the basket?
yes, the basket came with the portafilter. you can also purchase just the portafilter or just the basket if needed
@@YD.00 thank you, i have în mind to make a setup like yours.
and for a delonghi 31.21 and kingrinder k4 + all the things you have would be for me like 300 euro, more like a hobby.
are you aware or have you tried the metal steam wand for the delonghi? it's on Temu and its something like slip on, and it seems very good for late art.
@VancedCat quite expensive!
it did cross my mind to get the steam wand, but I mainly make ice coffee
Is the gooseneck kettle also from temu?
no lol it's Govee from Amazon
is the pressure not too much for botomless ? isnt it suposed to be 9 bars not 15
It's actually 15 bars and not at all. Worked pretty good!
