    I miss your narration! Hope the next espresso video has you talking us through it again.

      Thank you for the feedback! Sometimes I’m not sure if me talking takes away from the video. Sometimes I think my voice sounds weird lol, but I do like to talk so I will definitely include more of that!

      @@Earthmadegarden I think your voice is very chill and it is actually refreshing to listen to someone just talking naturally instead of putting on a voice or following a script. I have the same delonghi machine (obtained used a couple months ago) so I love your espresso making videos and I think I will go ahead and get the bottomless portafilter too since it seems to be working out for you.

      @@CourtneyinSF thank you, I appreciate that!! That’s awesome I got mine used also, if you get the bottomless portafilter definitely get a good grinder because without that the espresso won’t extract right. Thanks!!

    Good start!
    But a Long way to perfection ahead.)
    1 use your scale to control time and outcoming weight of the drink. 2-3 grams make sometime huge difference, is your drink sour, sweet or bitter
    2 your steam wand can do a lot more
    Watch James hoffman, lance hendrick, tom's coffee corner

      Let the man enjoy his cuppa, mate. The other two are good. Nvm James.

      Definitely a long way! I will test out weighing and timing my shots. I know the grind isn’t totally dialed in either. this grinder makes it hard to make fine adjustments and record where I’m at, but the more I do it the better it gets. Thanks for the tips!

      I guess maybe a bit sour? I usually make milk drinks so don’t notice the subtleties much, I’ve watched some of lance and Tom’s vids, and when I have time will fine tune my process!! Thanks for watching!

      The way I’ve been measuring is with this shot glass’s measurements. I normally pull 1.5 oz out of 18g coffee so it should be close, but yea weight and time will get more accurate for sure.

    what type of steam wand do you use?

    • @Earthmadegarden
      @Earthmadegarden  6 месяцев назад +1

      It is meant for the rancillo I believe that’s how it is spelled. Got it on Amazon. I had to take apart the machine and modify it with this steam wand. It was quite a job, but I believe it’s worth it if you can manage.

      @@Earthmadegarden Why didnnt you just remove the outer part or the wand?

      @@gabrielab553 I did but it was still rubber/plastic and too short for me.
