Thanks. It's a really nice route and could definitely combine it with a pub visit at the halfway point. The weather gave it a certain stillness when out of the wind.

That looked pretty cold but exhilarating, nice walk with so many colours everywhere - even the dormant ferns were glorious.
Your jacket showed up really well in the misty overcast light, just shows how important the right clothes are for being found when walking in remote areas by yourself in case of an emergency of any sort.
    Thanks for sharing your video.

Thanks Annie. Bright jackets are also good for RUclips thumbnails! It was a nice cool day, warm on the uphill parts. It was just nice that it had finally stopped raining!

*_Hello.... while hiking along The Hill Between Mountains, apart from being healthy, you can also get relaxation, because of the sounds of nature such as the sound of water in a river... greetings from Indonesia...._* 👌👍

That hill looks OK to wild camp on as its grassy. I camped in the Black mountains last summer and the Heather was nice but we had to search for a grassy pitch. I don't live near uplands so tend to camp on access land, the pink bits of the map here in the Chilterns!

    • @TheWalkingKev
      @TheWalkingKev  6 месяцев назад +1

Yes, it can be hard to find a pitch in some areas due to heather or really tufty grass. You could camp on this hill, but it's fairly close to a minor road and a farm, not that I think you'd have any issues pitching late and there is a second high point further away. I've camped on access land a few times in the South Wales Valleys without issue, most places are quiet at night!

    Enjoyed that one.
    Thanks. 👍
    I'm getting through your vids.
    Really enjoy them.
I'm hoping to do my first ever wild camp soon.
Need to buy a tent first.
I will be quite jumpy, all new for me.
    Keep your vids coming.

      Thanks Jamie, really appreciate it.
What kind of tent you looking for? I've a few I need to sell on!

Cool. I'm not sure, not a big tent and fairly cheap, nothing fancy.
I'm hoping to have my first camp next month.

      Somewhere in the Brecon Beacons.
I'm doing a walk a week at moment.
I'll know exactly where in a couple of weeks.
If it's wet or crazy windy I'll wait a day or two. I'm pretty flexible.
I watched you putting the tent pegs in the ice.😁
I'm not quite ready for that just yet.
I don't mind cold, but not too windy or wet. I'll pick a clear dry day next month.
