4:02 Body Harvest, that's the next game I'm live streaming in my challenge to beat every North American N64 game. It's will be the 58th game out of 296 beaten so far.
Only games I played on this list are Mischief Makers and Beetle Adventure Racing, both good picks. Diddy Kong Racing never got a sequel, which I guess would be hard now unless MS/Rare works with Nintendo to make it happen?
@@danielespeziari5545 maybe a joint venture? I mean Nintendo has allowed Ubisoft do Mario+Rabbids or allowed Capcom to do a few portable Zelda games in the 90's. MS already puts some of their games like Ori or Cuphead on Switch. SO who knows? MS/Rare and Nintendo need to make it happen!
My friends dad in elementary school worked on Beetle Adventure Racing-I remember she got the game several weeks early. I thought it was such a fun game that no one really knew about
What pains me the most about Mischief Makers is that, alongside Mario RPG, is basically stuck in Square Enix's jail. Not only that but Treasure is basically dead nowadays.
Awesome list...i remember seeing mace in the store bk in the day... now that i see its gameplay it looks f'in great! But bk then we only had magazines and a handful of money in our pocket so i always went for the big titles in the end of the day...im pretty sad i missed out on this it would've been so much fun!
That Beetle Adventure Racing looks really fun and with the special cable I got the graphics for it will make it look even better. I mostly played kart racers and of course the F-1 games because who wouldn't want to play a game with Michael Schumacher in? So sad about his injury though...he's still fighting after all these years
Yakouchuu 2 is the only sound novel game for the console, only in Japan. But it was notable because there were 20+ sound novel games on PS1 but N64 only got one (a sound novel is a kind of interactive book/visual novel but with mainly text-game)
Three quick things: 1. Great video. Such a cool theme for a video. 2. I am also a child of the 80's and I know exactly what you mean by listening to some 80's music groups and because you liked a song of theirs and upon listening to the album it comes from being like, "Okay . . . what?!" The Church comes to mind. Under The Milky Way was and excellent, hauntingly beautiful song, but the rest of the album (titled "Starfish") was well . . . kind of boring. 3. Pro-tip to people that own (or plan to own) the mentioned Space Station Silicon Valley game: if your cartridge freezes during the opening sequences, this is a problem with earlier releases of the game when you have an expansion pak in the console. If you put the regular jumper pak in, you can play the game with no issues.
Silicon Valley's story is so absolutely bonkers that, when I explained it to school friends while we were waiting our turn during a judo competition, they didn't believe me. They said I made it up. Man, what a blast it was.
I know I said this on your Hybrid Heaven review years ago, I said it is one of my favorite all time RPGs. I'd much rather DDT mutants and have a crazy 3 part final boss that is so difficult I remember smashing a controller (never did it again, as I couldn't just go buy a new one as a 12 year old), than just have a button press and wait to shoot a hand gun like with FF7. I still have that game complete with box and manual. I was hoping that one day people would appreciate it as much as I did. But my copy of worms and sealed perfect dark are worth much more.
These are the kind of games that make me love the N64, although I didn't grow up with it and never owned one until 2018. It's just that many N64 exclusives are full of crazy ideas and unlike anything else. Blast Corps and Space Station Silicon Valley are two games I love, and they are pretty similar in their puzzle element. Beetle Adventure Racing is awesome, and I play it regularly in order to find all secrets. I also want to love Body Harvest, but it's too stressful and depressing, plus in the PAL version you must play Hero mode to see all the levels. So I only beat the first two areas (Greece and Java), and gave up on the mission where you have to save children in America. As you said, the game can be very confusing in its objectives.
I think a remaster would be perfect. The music, atmosphere and the vehicles. The UFO being the best! I still remember how shocked I was flying that thing
Fantastic video. Glenn, I really think you should do a sequel to this video but called "Cash Cows". The N64 games that just kept getting sequels until they were milked dry. Games like the WWF and WCW games Mario Party The Bomberman games And the Jikkyō Powerful Pro series. Edit: Oh my god there was 8 NFL games. What the fu-
Beetle Adventure Racing is pretty awesome. When I was young I never noticed how much the performance was all over the place. It's not a very good experience today unless it's being played on an overclockable N64 emulator. Every now & then I load up the rom. Btw Space Station Silicon Valley is a gem. I'd love to see it remade on Unreal Engine 4 or something. My wallet is ready.
I always liked Tetrisphere, I know Nintendo just slapped the Tetris licence on it but it was a pretty innovative 3D puzzle game with lots of modes. Back to see ya back btw!
Space Station SV was my favourite game. But there was a bug that meant you couldn't pick up one of the gold collectibles, so no one ever got to see the good ending. I still sometimes wonder what it was
So many come to mind, like Starshot, Buck Bumble, Tonic Trouble (I know, same universe as Rayman), Conker's Bad Fur Day, Tetrisphere, a sequel to Mystical Ninja 64

yeah there's only around 30 or so more to do and so ill tick those off over the coming year or so I think
Beetle Adventure Racing is one of my favorite titles for N64. Friends and I still get together and play the battle mode and racing to this day 👌🏼
Such an awesome title isn’t it
So good to see you back Glenn! 👍
thanks Cecil I appreciate that
Yay nice to see you back Glenn!
Also have to reiterate how glad I am you're back. 🤗
thanks Dan :)
That Buck Bumble music at the beginning was a nice touch
Love your vids. Would you ever cover gamecube games or any other nintendo systems?
probably not as id rather be a master of one console than a jack of all trades but never say never
Loved Mace. Played it a lot when I was a kid. The extra characters were awesome and I always went for Grendel.
whats the name of the football game at 16:40 ? and Welcome Back BTW, really missed your videos. been a fan since the early days of this channel
Mia Hamm Soccer
yup mia hamm
This and SNES Drunk are my fav channels
I live SNES drunk too, a collab one day would be cool!
Its really great to see youre returning Gleen, welcome back!😃👍🏻👍🏻
thank you, glad to see you here
4:02 Body Harvest, that's the next game I'm live streaming in my challenge to beat every North American N64 game. It's will be the 58th game out of 296 beaten so far.
its a tough one but awesome
Yes glad you're back
thank you , glad you're here too :)
Only games I played on this list are Mischief Makers and Beetle Adventure Racing, both good picks. Diddy Kong Racing never got a sequel, which I guess would be hard now unless MS/Rare works with Nintendo to make it happen?
I think Nintendo owns the rights to anything Kong-related, so they could do it without Rare (and of course without Banjo or Conker)
MS/Rare and Nintendo need to make it happen!
never say never but very unlikely I think
Love what you're doing dude
thanks kade
My friends dad in elementary school worked on Beetle Adventure Racing-I remember she got the game several weeks early. I thought it was such a fun game that no one really knew about
What pains me the most about Mischief Makers is that, alongside Mario RPG, is basically stuck in Square Enix's jail.
Not only that but Treasure is basically dead nowadays.
I know man, tell me about it. Such a mess isn’t it
Awesome list...i remember seeing mace in the store bk in the day... now that i see its gameplay it looks f'in great! But bk then we only had magazines and a handful of money in our pocket so i always went for the big titles in the end of the day...im pretty sad i missed out on this it would've been so much fun!
yeah that was always a safe bet to get the Nintendo or rare games if you had to be selective
That Beetle Adventure Racing looks really fun and with the special cable I got the graphics for it will make it look even better. I mostly played kart racers and of course the F-1 games because who wouldn't want to play a game with Michael Schumacher in? So sad about his injury though...he's still fighting after all these years
yeah BAR is one of the best racing games on the console for sure its so damn fun to play
Yakouchuu 2 is the only sound novel game for the console, only in Japan. But it was notable because there were 20+ sound novel games on PS1 but N64 only got one (a sound novel is a kind of interactive book/visual novel but with mainly text-game)
Yup , did a Japanese eye episode on it 👋
Body Harvest Remaster is in progress Updates on our channel
Yay, Glenn's back! ❤️❤️
3 videos in the past 3 weeks make that a big yes!
SSSV is a true master piece
Amen to that!
Three quick things:
But my copy of worms and sealed perfect dark are worth much more.
they'll both be worth a whole lot!
I haven't tried most of these titles for some reason. Now I want to play every single one of them. XD
you should play them all right now :)
@@n64glennplant I'm gonna check them out on the ED64 today. But I'm already checking the cartridges' prices.
As you said, the game can be very confusing in its objectives.
its a shame because maybe a few more months work on body harvest could have ironed out some of the minor issues like that
Silicon Valley is one of the best games on the N64.
very underrated
Very good. Tough in places, very hard platforming
Welcome back Glenn 👋
thank you - good to see you here
I feel bad I missed out on playing some of these titles as a kid.
Same here!!! You re not alone friend.
at least you can now revisit them though!
Emulate
Man I missed your content. Will we get a legacy of darkness review? Glad you’re back
I hope to do so at some point!
Body Harvest A.K.A. Grand Theft Auto 64
amen to that
Glenn, have you made a video about your N64 collection? As a fellow collector, I'd love to see that. Cheers!
I stopped collecting a number of years ago now
Thank you! The N64 is by far my favorite console of all time!
A sequel to body harvest would be amazing
how about a remaster ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I think a remaster would be perfect. The music, atmosphere and the vehicles. The UFO being the best! I still remember how shocked I was flying that thing
@@BlueCollaredGrit It's already in progress :D
Fantastic video.
Glenn, I really think you should do a sequel to this video but called "Cash Cows". The N64 games that just kept getting sequels until they were milked dry.
Games like the WWF and WCW games
Mario Party
The Bomberman games
And the Jikkyō Powerful Pro series.
Edit: Oh my god there was 8 NFL games. What the fu-
That’s a fantastic idea maybe I’ll use that soon
The Earth Defense Force series is the closest thing we ever get to getting a spiritual successor to Body Harvest.
There’s a channel on here who are doing a remake so maybe that’s the closest
Great video! What about one about the Expansion Pak? The games that take advantage of it and which ones suffer of fps drops
good shout, there's plenty of others who've already covered that though
@@n64glennplant I couldn't find any good
Hybrid Heaven is tough to get in to, but when you do it's easy to love.
yeah its absolute gold if you get into it
Hybrid heaven had atmosphere, story, graphics, tension and some awesome combat. I thought of it as my way to play Metal Gear Solid on an N64!!!
Yeah it’s just a shame it wasn’t as good as that hey!
Welcome back Glenn we missed. You
thanks slaven
Beetle Adventure Racing is pretty awesome. When I was young I never noticed how much the performance was all over the place. It's not a very good experience today unless it's being played on an overclockable N64 emulator. Every now & then I load up the rom.
Btw Space Station Silicon Valley is a gem. I'd love to see it remade on Unreal Engine 4 or something. My wallet is ready.
SSSV on unreal engine would be mega wouldn't it, seen the unreal 5 tech demo?
I have. It looks sooo good. I'd love to see a remake of SSSV on UE5.
I always liked Tetrisphere, I know Nintendo just slapped the Tetris licence on it but it was a pretty innovative 3D puzzle game with lots of modes. Back to see ya back btw!
That’s a great game, really unique and cool to play. Good to see you too Ryan 👍
Buck Bumble
great shout that one
Space Station SV was my favourite game. But there was a bug that meant you couldn't pick up one of the gold collectibles, so no one ever got to see the good ending. I still sometimes wonder what it was
So many come to mind, like Starshot, Buck Bumble, Tonic Trouble (I know, same universe as Rayman), Conker's Bad Fur Day, Tetrisphere, a sequel to Mystical Ninja 64
Starshot just wasn’t very good, mystical ninja was part of a series and there was a sequel even on n64 👍
@@n64glennplant Yes, and yes. That being said, the sequel to Mystical Ninja was nowhere near as ambitious nor even the same type of game - Pretty good in its own right, though.
