Big agree, and I'd like to just add that it felt like besides the big titles there were tons of smaller games coming out that were also pretty good, in particular it feels like probably the best time for licensed games where, unlike how notorious they were in previous generations, you could pick up a game based on a show or a movie and have a pretty good likelihood of a good time, not to mention how many experiments and risks were being taken with the major franchises (though it could wrap around to maybe being too many but there were too many hits you wouldn't see today for me to count it out).
While not as good due to not lasting as long I feel like the first half of the 7th gen kind of continued a lot of things in the 6th gen, but then it feels like in 2010 (and specifically 2010) things took a pretty drastic and quick turn to something we recognize more today, for better or for worse, but I'm not really sure why it all seemed to happen in or around then specifically
You're absolutely right. I remember a ton of smaller games based on TV shows that came out even video game based. They were awesome too. The sixth generation was unlike any other generation the I have experienced not only or just because due to nostalgia, but everything that came out in the sixth generation was too good to be true. And to be honest, some of us don't realise how good we had it.
What the sixth generation did for gaming was just too remarkable to pass up. Obviously, as the generations continue, graphics evolve, online multiplayers become a lot more easier accessible, sure, but the sixth generation, as I mentioned in the video, was great for innovation creativity, quirky games, video games felt like video games.True to its name and origin.
Thank you very, very much for watching and commenting your thoughts. I really appreciate your supports.Thank you very much.
Were there video games from the sixth generation that were some of your favourites?
Been saying this for a while. Nice to hear others agreed with me.
@2beJT hello, there. It's nice to find another gamer who feels the same way as I do. Although what one person or persons feel about what is the greatest gaming generation is subjectional, sure. But the sixth gaming generation is truly, above average, it's above greatness. Especially for what it did for the gaming as a whole.
Do you have any favorite video games from that generation of gaming that you would like to comment on?
I really appreciate the view and comment. Thank you very, very much.
I agree with you, the 5th and 6th gen we peaked. 7th gen was... OK... 8th gen is surviving on freemium trash, remakes and re-releases.
Imo, there is no 9th gen yet... We had multiple mid-8th gen rehashes but I don't see the leap from ps4 to ps5 as a general leap. Diminishing returns is a bitch that way.
@stevenfinch4238 Hello there, I hope you're having a great week. Absolutely, the 5th and 6th gen, we did peak. That's absolutely correct. The 8th generation is probably the most lacklustre gaming generation I've experienced so far.
Hmm... that's a really good way of looking at the fact at the 9th generation, to be honest. Very well said.
I really appreciate your comment and thank you for watching.
here me out.....i feel what your saying...yet i have a counter. i think the 8th generation is he best era. gamepass...gamepass....gamepass.yes xbox one lack exclusives when it came out in 2013. xbox one had killer instinct 2013, rare replay, gamepass, streets of rage 4 for both console. we started remakes. also switch broke records coming out. yes wii u didnt do well but tis still a great system. xbox console are known for something to go bad but right now the xbox one is my favorite console of all time. yes i still have my n64, wii and wii u and dreamcast as well.
@thousandstar Thank you for expressing your thoughts, Star. I'm glad you can find much value in the modern games with such things as gameplay and whatnot. I won't deny that gamepass is pretty cool, and I used it a lot myself.
8th gen wasn't for me, to be honest, with the ps4. The Xbox One was OK, I had fewer problems or complaints with that system.
Thank you very much for watching, I appreciate it.
@@DoctorVirtual the xbox duke controller just didnt aged well for me. outside of ps1 i didnt play any playstation 2 or 3. i had a ps3 but its just for older console for me.
That Duke controller is massive. I remember how huge that thing was for me back in the day.
@@DoctorVirtual bro it was the Dreamcast controller on steroids
You got a remake of a game, but you got vvoke from that remake. So 8th generation is the worst of game
