Bro.... how long have you been doing this? How can you possibly only have 700 subs? I've been working on my channel for 5 months and gone from 11 to 521 subs in that time. Over 1000 videos? Dear lord. Bro, no hate whatsoever man. I'm proud of you doing you, but have you tried promoting videos? I just drop like 50 bucks every couple of weeks on my occasional better video. It's definitely building me subs quickly. Seriously, i'd love to pick your brain and compare notes, because this is something I really want to do, even if my content isn't retro gaming. Your content seems decently edited. I don't understand the low number. Gonna drop you a like just to help out.

This sounds like the most passive aggressive hate comment lmao. You then pair it with the worst advice possible of spending money promoting videos. Promoting videos is a waste of time and money when the site literally has a free algorithm to push good content. If he wants to get bigger he'd first and foremost need to improve his thumbnails, titles, and then his video quality. The Angry Video Game Nerd / Cinemassacre would be a good person for him to borrow from.

@@UD-nz9cp bro this guy has been posting for 11 YEARS, looking at his videos. He deserves more. I've been posting for 5 months and have spent maybe 300 or 400 bucks on my channel and gained 5/7 of the same number of subs. I have disposable income to spend on advertisement of my channel. Why would I not use it? Especially if this is the alternative? There's nothing passive aggressive about what i said. I'm flabbergasted that this guy has been working on this for this long and only hit 700 subs. Again, no hate at all for the guy. But there's gotta be a better way. And yes thumbnails are important, but his aren't the worst i've seen. Maybe he's not using tags or hastags. Maybe he's not uploading at the right times. Maybe he's not researching his competitors. Like i said, i would love to actually have a chat with him and learn what I can from him.

@@DandelionMonk There is no "deserve" in the social media world. Good content will get the views. This isn't the alternative to spending money if you are making good content. The videos you will make 200 videos from now should be 5x better than the videos you are making now. Therefore you are currently spending money to show people videos that "future-you" will think are terrible. If that's the case (which it is) then anything you do besides either 'improving the actual quality of your content' or 'finding what niche of content it is that you can make in a quality manner' is a waste of time. Try a bunch of ideas / niches and then double and triple down on the ones that work, all the while improving everything. I'm on my anon account so you might not take my advice to heart but I promise its the only advice you need.

@@UD-nz9cp i'm doing all of that. But i don't see how boosting your reach in the beginning especially, wouldn't make sense. I learned about velio today so doing market research. I am currently working on a really dope niche video type to break into. And i've been playing to my strengths content wise while learning to 3d model, davinci resolve, and unity programming. And as far as "deserve" goes, I wasn't talking social media world. I meant in an ideal world. Guy seems like he's been trying hard for years. In my mind, I want to see people like that have a payoff.

@@UD-nz9cp what you describe sounds like how progress works in any skill. I played guitar for 18 years, learned to sing, learned to draw professional quality portraits, now 3d modelling in blender, Davinci resolve, all self-taught. In every one, i was always my own worst critic. That just comes with the territory when you look back. If I get a passion for something, I bust my butt to achieve proficiency in it. Trust me i'll find the way.

Congratulations Mel on the 700 subs . Can’t argue with SF2 what was that about a cupcake no one actually knew what they said. Yeah Vega was a pain hanging from the fence Ken or Ryu with a dragon punch normally worked for me. Played a lot of soul calibur on the PlayStation exactly what you said about the weapons. Didn’t play the others you mentioned apart from Star Wars the old republic think it was 4 cd discs or something didn’t get far differently need to go back to it. Really enjoyed you taking about the games a lot of playing time.

@amigaoldskool Heeeyyy Adam, how are you mate? Thank you very kindly. Yeah SF 2 is an awesome game indeed. Vega is a huge pain. That cake part was about. When ryu does his tatsumaki senpu kyaku leg technique he sounds like he is saying "I'd like some poundcake"
Soul Calibur is just too good of a game.
Thank you extremely kindly for watching and commenting Adam, it's good to hear from you again.

@retrorobbyreviews thank you very kindly rob, mate. I really appreciate it. Someone else said that to me recently too, regarding my progress. I believe the problem was due to my bad thumbnails, bad titles and packaging of my videos and not keeping up with retro gaming trends. But after much research and having a clearer head of what I want to do, how I can improve each video and how I can specifically make great content for my target audience.I believe I am heading for the 1k subscriber milestone this year.I'm aiming for it, but achieving it will be another story.
Always appreciate when you watch my videos and support my channel. And thank you ever so much.I can not express hum greatly.I appreciate that.
