So the way I do intermittent fasting is I fast for 16 hours and eat within the rest of the 8 hours. So when I wake up I don’t eat until 1 o’clock and then finish eating at 9 o’clock. then it repeats itself the next day. I'm not rigid on the window but rather just push breakfast back a few hours after waking wake. My fasting clock starts when I get out of bed so not on some separate timeframe. Now I love this because I can eat really large meals in these windows that I do eat and can position these meals for social occasions or days when I know I'll be eating more. And saves me so much time preparing meals because of the simplicity of it. :)

if you do it for short term then it's a diet, if you do it long term then it's a liftestlye.. so basically it's both.

Just started intermittent fasting using the 16/8 method everyday since i work as a Civil Engineer in an office job i dont burn many calories throughout the day until i hit the gym in the night.
Really enjoying it have more time in the mornings by skipping breakfast, get to work earlier, less heartburn/indigestion, feel more mental alert, less bloated etc.
Hoping to see some changes soon as i plan on sticking to it permanently.

No way bro do not make your video shorter if you're putting on informational Content about training, nutrition and diet then that shit needs to be at least 20 minutes long but other than that great video great Continue love the video about intermittent fasting even though most of which I've already know and did my own research and studied it was superb.

Remington James I agree with my mans. You sharing knowledge and letting me know WHY certain things are necessary and how they work really helped me. If 19:52 is too long for someone, they are just lazy. Just my opinion though, I like the information! Keep it up boss

Probably the BEST video explaining intermittent fasting I've seen. Trying to change lots in my life and I've just been powering through your videos. Your formats are perfect and your content is understandable and I feel, IMHO, from someone getting on the right track, that I'd be up the creek without the explanations you do. Keep on keeping on bud!

I know that you did this video last year, but it is helping me to understand IF. I also watched your Carb Cycling for Beginners and that has helped me to be prepared to start them both next week. Thank you so look much, b/c I was really 😕 confused until you explained it perfectly. Keep up the good work. I don't mind the length of the videos, b/c I walk away with ALL of my questions answered☺.

Your videos are awesome. Appreciate you passing on your knowledge. I've been Intermittent Fasting for quite some time now and I've gone from 200Lbs down to 176Lbs. I'm 5'9 and my goal is to get to 168Lbs. Looking pretty lean now, just need that final push to get me where I want to be. Looking forward to your Carb Cycling video. Not sure what to do when it comes to that. I think that's what I need to experiment with to get to my goal weight. Much appreciated.

Remington, I think around 20 minutes is just right for video length. You're super informative. Really looking forward to the carb cycling video!
I liked learning about BCAAs - read lots of mixed reviews online, and had sort of come to the conclusion it was BS, but like you say, even if there's a chance it could help, then it's a tool to embrace.
I've realised I've been doing IF without even realising it formally! It's been a great help psychologically to not have to think about food at mealtimes unless you're hungry! Crazy what counts as eye opening when it comes to relationships with food. So easy to take your behaviour for granted.

Loads of info, explained not only in technical terms but also simply put in layman's terms. I started my "health journey" in April and have lost 17 pounds. I have been reading and watching videos on IF for the past two weeks and finally feel like I can do it after watching this video. Thanks so much! On to watching your carb cycling video. I am so glad you made this video I am just seeing this now but I never really understood what intermittent fasting was. I was doing it without even realizing. Over the past few months I have lost a significant amount of weight and I did not really know what I was doing differently besides eating less. My schedule just worked out that I had time to eat towards the evening and I never had time for breakfast or lunch. Then I started eating breakfast again because I thought it would be healthier but I started to gain the weight back. I have been so confused as to what my body is doing but now I finally understand why I lost the weight so now I can go back to intermittent fasting and do it right! Thank you for this

Great video brother! I'm glad to see you are promoting IF out there! I've been doing it for 4 months and it has helped with the weight loss. I'm getting to a plateau in the weight loss, and was thinking about giving up doing IF to shake up my body, but after watching this I'm going to stay with it. Just going to keep trusting in the new macros I have after watching your macro video!
Thanks again for the advice to add in LISS cardio on top of my CrossFit workouts!

Sup,this question goes for both of you James and Jason,do yall felt fatigued after working out on an empty stomach?I've been doing IF (16/8) for almost two weeks and the first day felt awesome but as the days when through I started feeling a lil dizzy and fatigued after my regular workouts(weightlifing) and I feel very weak after sprinting while fasting...should I stop IF or wait another week for my body to get used to it?I truly believe fasting is very good for your health to give your body a break from digestion but it doesnt seem to be working for me idk maybe changing to 5/2 instead of 16/8

I would have to second RJ's comment. Make sure you have your macro's balanced. If you need help with macro's watch RJ's video on that - super on point. I took to IF pretty easy, but the first 3 Crossfit workouts I did while starting out kick my ass!! Then I got used to it and I always ensured I had a good balance of protein, fat, and carbs.

Thank you for the video. Great information that definitely reinforces some of my experimentation. I also find it keeps me from binge eating and I do feel my blood sugar is more regulated. Only criticism I have is why lower the bar and offer Diet Coke and Energy drinks. That stuff is toxic and should be substituted for organic herbal tea and filtered water. Lightening your toxic load to maximize optimal nutrition, repair, etc. I see no room for recreational eating. Our foods are not what they used to be with mineral depletion in our soils and because of that, I do believe we need to supplement with quality minerals and vitamins, but I don't advocate gum, soda, energy drinks, etc. best of luck to all and thanks again for sharing your knowledge!

I drink nothing but water and eat dinner and a few snacks before that...I don't even get hungry all the time anymore, I fast for about 20 hours. I did not work out in that week, but I started working out yesterday, I hope my weight loss gets better.
