Walmart must pay $4.4 million in 'shopping while Black' case

  • A Multnomah County jury awarded the money to Michael Mangum of Fairview on Aug. 19, 2022, after Mangum said he was racially profiled by a theft prevention worker. Walmart denies that Mangum was stopped by employees.
