Also in one of the journals he said that they bound him to a pole while burning the books in front of him and i dont think they let him roam after tortue and showing his only way out to burn infront of him. And thats probably why that pole is broken.
Interesting. Apparently the stranger must be transparent or you wouldn't see which way the light is shining when you are turning the mirror on the poles as you have to stand between the light source and the mirror to direct it correctly. I have to wonder if the developers of the game forgot about that.
I love/hate Voltaic so much. It looks and plays more like Riven than any other Age, which is awesome, but it's full of every terrifying thing in the world that makes me panic (except for the terrifying things that Todelmer and Tetsonot take care of). It's simultaneously my favorite and least favorite Age in the game.
Sven, its entriely possible that j'nanin has different properties of light also may I ask how it is possible to set the linking destination, to vary from one linking book to the next, the first j'nanin book brought you on the beach, the ones at the beginning of each age bring you to the cooresponding tusk, and the ending linking books bring you to the central tusk. does the "author" add specific coordinates or something?
The rest of the video series -- but I just realized you're presently in the process of uploading these videos. Is this a new "Let's Play" you're making now? (Or a reupload?) It was a great game. What's really nice about it though is that you can use FMV Extractor and Bink Video to extract all the videos and make movies out of them. Good times, man, good times.
It's a nice touch that all the puzzles You need to solve to open the tusks are samples of what You'll be doing in the corresponding Ages.
Channlewood never had 'bad' weather. It was probably hot and humid, it was Stoneship that had the rain all the time.

Yay, Voltaic. My favorite Age. Honstly, mostly because of how cool the doors are in Voltaic.
At 5:23 that is where you can access the Pepper easter egg when you've clicked the pepper shaker and hold the tilde key
Many games, of other genres, used to do this, which was awesome. Today you mostly get step-by-step tutorials, which is sad.
At 12:50 I suppose that symbol represents the giant tusk, with the three other tusks around it, from a top-down view

And light would totally refract into a circle. It always does that on Earth!
Myst III is soooo atmospheric. :')
You are questioning D'ni technology even tho you know they have a suit that can survive a supernova (even if it is only for seconds)?
Voltaic is a fun age, and probably the easiest of the three tusks in my opinion.
Maybe not a good idea to swim in water containing electrical cables.
I did this first when I got to the island. I got distracted from the main story. :p

- And that's the last we shall here from this fine fellow.
-His router failed one final time- XD
14:25 Wow finally an Age in this game I like the look of.
Yay, Voltaic! My favorite Age!
My favorite Age in this particular game.
Voltaic was always my favorite one of the lesson ages.
The author doen't include coordinatess into linking books. He just has to write the book at the exact spot, he wants it to link to.
Is it my imagination, or did it take much longer for this video to arrive than others in the series?
Oh no, now I remember this Age. I had a hard time with it (not that I find any part of the Myst games easy :P).
Yeah, that's the one I meant.
ahh I remember this game so well :)
The rest of the LP

The third side's the back of the mirror

Be careful what you wish for. :)
Where's the rest??
The rest of what?
