    Even though the original C70 was launched way back in 1997, it's still something of a novelty for many to see a sleek and curvaceous Volvo product. The post '06 C70 remains one of the best looking coupe-convertible cars around, its lines doing a good job disguising the long boot that's required to house the roof in cars like this. In fact, it's tough to believe that the C70 rides on Ford's C1 platform, the chassis that it bases the Focus range on. As a used buy, it makes a lot of sense as the only real point counting against the C70 is that its price from new is stretching the limit of what a car of this size and provenance should ask.

    Great review, initially filmed by a pigeon in a tree.

    I have this car for 6 years. First one was a thirsty 2.4 petrol and now a D3 full of torque. Lovely car but be aware that if you have a problem with the roof it might cost you over £1000 to fix

      Have you ever had a problem with the roof?

      @@parrigon664 yes, once I had to replace the computer unit/ box which is in the boot and got some rust in some electric connectors. I was lucky enough to buy a used one and plugged it and all working again.

    Cany you fold the backseats down?

    • @iaintdonknow
      @iaintdonknow 7 месяцев назад

      Anything can be done if you try hard enough, the question is if they can be folded back up.

    • @rfarevalo
      @rfarevalo 7 месяцев назад +4

      No. You cannot fold the back seats down.There is a ski tunnel for long items (with waterproof bag) that allows skis in the trunk to extend into the middle of the passenger compartment. Items in the trunk are 100% immune from broken windows theft as you cannot access the trunk from the passenger compartment,

    Wish the trunk was functional with the roof down, kinda defeats the purpose if you actually want to go anywhere top down.

      I believe you can use the boot with the roof down. You press a button and the folded part moves up out of the way slightly allowing you access to an area beneath it. I think there's room enough for a carry-on case.

      @lukemallory got it absolutely correct there is I’ve owned one for years I love it , ofc I used a tune to unlock the full power of this car no other modifications and it rips , 0-60 in 3 sec , quarter mile in just under 10 and a lot of shocked faces from bmw , Mercedes , Audi owners as I leave them in my dust

      @@jjjurgensen454 But any problems with the roof? Thinking of getting one. Anything to look out for? 0-60 in 3 seconds sounds? Are you running 700 bhp?!
