Just tested a little further on the Benchmarks. I ran Time Spy with Ultimate GPU enabled and here were the results Performance: 99675 (better than turbo non-ultamite) Turbo: 10675 (an actual performance gain) I'm not sure why turbo did so much better with Ultimate GPU enabled, but this is the gain I was initially expecting. It's something I still would never personally use because the fans are way too loud for my liking... With that being said though, it's nice to know turbo does have a purpose.
Is it worth tracking down a mini led model? I'm a designer so trying to find one (currently can't find a sku in USA), but honestly the ips will be better than my current.
I love the laptop so far but damn those fans are loud af lol... as a hardcore gamer i wouldn't get it, As a student with gaming every now and then.. yeah thats great if you have a cooling pad
Does this laptop have a mux switch? Or how do you turn off the GPU? I have the first generation G14 from 2020 and the battery life is pretty good, but there is not real way to turn off the GPU out of the box. Nice video
So I was lucky enough to already have windows on my SSD when I swapped them. If this is your case and you have the right stuff, it's pretty simple. There's 2 ways to do it. Set up the computer with the existing SSD and then perform a system recovery backup/SSD swap. takes a little longer but this method is free. Alternatively you can buy a USBC to SSD adapter and then get software like EaseUS to copy information from 1 SSD to another and then do the swap. There's quite a few videos out there that break down both. If you don't plan to swap SSDs out a whole lot I might recommend the 1st option.
Yea, I've seen it vary as well. Tbh I thought I was going to get, around that, with turbo mode. I wonder if I could play around with the manual mode, in armoury crate, or enable ultimate GPU mode to get higher scores. :Edit So I just ran the same benchmarks with ultimate graphics turned on and that's what it was. Timespy Ultimate Performance mode: 9965 Ultimate Turbo mode: 10675

So glad to see you are enjoying your laptop. I have the RTX 4050 version btw
How is it?
How is it ? Can you try Apex Legends 1600p on Low with 6Gb Vram if you do play them.
For competitive games I'm sure they will run fine above 60fps.
awesome bro. I hope you be the famous reviewer soon bb

Great video, looking forward to the ROG Ally review
Only getting 15 more minutes when using itegrated graphics vs dedicated is pretty strange

I don't think the 2020 version has mux.
Thank you for the video .... I'm about to get the same one . However was it a pain to place the OS back on the new 2 TB SSD ?

Awesome Sir !!! thank you for the reply I think I'm going with option 1 ......
I'm getting this model. What 32GB ram brand name, and 2TB SSD did you install?
@@thundergato84 vengeance is the name of the brand for the ram brand and I have the Samsung Evo plus 2tb SSD.
Are you using g-helpers for the battery and how much is ur discharge?
I've seen others get more like 10500 on time spy with the 4060. What do you think makes the difference?

Is this model have anime matrix ???
Give this guy 1m subs he is underrated :)
4060 rn at Best Buy is at 999 dollars is it worth it?
oh yeah. picked one up today after trading in my m1 pro 16" mbp.
Is the silent mode really quiet? I’ve a Blade 16 and the silent mode keeps turning the fans on… really bad!!
I don't have direct comparisons, but I had the 2070 razer laptop and I'd say that silent mode on the g14 is indeed a bit more quite than that one.
