@@Ame_by_verbt’s a nice car but more expensive to maintain than a Venza , truth is that it doesn’t Av resale value , Nigerians don’t really use it….how many of it do u see on our road ?
I believe that it doesn't have such resale value because of 1. The engine 2GR-FE(V6)..according to somepple, it consumes fuel. 2. The Long size of the car 3. Parts are bit more expensive...not everyone can maintain an Avalon to retain its value 🤌 Sometimes it makes me wonder why ES 350 cost much more...even though they have same engine and maintainance cost 🤔
@Onunkwo Franklyn You are right, avalons don't retain their resale value compared to the Corollas and the Camrys. 1. The argument about fuel consumption is a relative one. I like how you cautiously mentioned that "some people say it consumes fuel". My brother, even a Peugeot 206 with a meager 1.6liter engine can become a gas guzzler overnight if something is slight wrong with air/fuel metering components. Yes, the V6 is bigger in cubic capacity and weight. But it also makes more power to pull it's weight and that of the car. I've driven from Okpella to Abuja with less than 20liters on a Camry '06 with V6 engine with full AC. This is almost the same fuel consumption level with an equivalent Corolla. 2. Concerning the length...well now that you're mentioning it, I think this might be the reason why people don't like it until they mistakenly buy it. 3. The parts are truly a bit more expensive especially when compared to cars like the Corolla and Camrys, but when compared to lexus sedan lineup, you are much better off with an Avalon. ES is a luxury segment of Toyota, it is assumed anyone using these cars will not be asking for Toyota grade parts, this is why Lexus is the most reliable brand followed by Toyota. Yet, it is Toyota that makes Lexus. Also, it is more to find cloned Toyota spare parts than Lexus ones. I think this might be the reason
