I saw this on the shelf a couple weeks ago and passed. After I saw this review, I picked one up and wow! You guys are so right on the mouth feel and flavors, might need a backup now. Cheers!
@TheBourbonNote thanks. It was part of a 4 bottle pack to get their antique weller 107 store pick. Rebel Cask SB pick, Ezra Brooks Cask SB pick, Yellowstone SB pick, and Weller Antique 107 pick. I really only wanted weller bc I've never bought or tried Antique 107. But I enjoyed the Ezra. Now enjoying the Rebel. $250 before tax marked down from $275 for all 4.
I picked this up a week back. It is light and thin like young bourbon. Very ethanol with a basic bourbon taste and no real finish. Troed it in and old fashioned and a Manhattan and it could not shine through.I got it for 34 bucks in NY and as a store pick. Gonna let it sit and retry but for the moment this is a no.
Good review. It is a solid bourbon. I also have the Ezra Brooks cask strength at 120. The label looks the same as the Rebel but black and gold and it is also solid.
I'm tempted to go to Maple Grove and get one since it's a 10 minute drive But I'm used to 100 proof or less with ice. Great review as always guys thank you
Love the review. I have a Binny’s store pick of the Rebel Cask Strength which is very good. I just picked up a Rebel Yell Single Barrel 10 Year 2 days ago. Cannot wait to try. 🥃
@@TheBourbonNote I just got so maybe it needs to air out but I also got a Bardstown, High West, Coopers, Brothers Bond rye, and Blue Note juke joint they beat it up
this shouldnt have anything to do with stitzel especially since they arent currently distilling (that i know of) and their name is owned by diageo. Should be heaven hill larceny mashbill which is what all rebel is as far as im aware.
Not very impressed with it. Have to really search for a lot of nuances in the flavor and overall pretty bland for the most part for me. I get the majority of flavor on the finish- slight caremel, oaky, red hots cinnamon, pepper, orange peel, light mouthfeel for the proof.

Glad you liked it! This one was really a nice surprise. Definitely picking up another one.
Drinking mine right now.
I just picked up another pick of this last weekend. Great pour!
@@TheBourbonNote Mine is a store pick. it was on sale lol. I've watched a few other channels that talked about the bottle.
Hope you enjoy it!

We haven't tried that one yet, but now I'm definitely interested!
This is one of my new favorites. The first sip had me hooked. I'm on my second bottle. I am about to go buy a few more for stock
I think we might be doing the same!
Great review guys, and thanks for the reco! Your word is good enough for me to put this on my shopping list! 👍🏽 Cheers! - DRC
Thanks, Rick! I don't think you'll be disappointed!
Bought this at Binnys on sale $39. Very good bourbon.
That's a great deal!
Just grabbed one last weekend, gonna open it right now!
Hope you like it!
Ex Brother in law just gave me a 3/4 full bottle of this. Apparently he’s gone to wine. 😂. It’s great and for the price even better!
Great score!

Thanks for watching! This might be a good one to explore something a bit higher proof. You can always add a bit of water to proof it down.
Working on a similar bottle now; a local store pick. Jury is still out for me.

IDK I got a store pick and its just musty basement gross.
Really??? Damn, that's a bummer! This was our first one, and it was awesome! I guess we'll have to get a couple more and compare them...for science!

Is yours the total wine pick in MN?
