You are correct about Wheel Horse. After making the decision to abandon the "TerrePure" process, O Z Tyler started the Wheel Horse and Quarter Horse brands to get away from the name. Then they changed the distillery back to the original name - Green River. Blue Note products that are from Kentucky are distilled at Green River. (not to be confused with the Blue Note that is TN based and sourced from Dickel)

Green River wasn’t something that impressed me at all. Not sure what it was about it but at best it was just meh. I’m hesitant to try any of their other stuff as I’ve seen various reviews on them. Sure price isn’t bad but if it isn’t hitting my palate then it’s still wasted money that I could get something I enjoy. Maybe I’ll try the other bottles at a bar if I see them. Would much rather have Bardstown everyday of the week over Green River.🥃🥃🥃

I saw the full GR lineup at France 44 a few months back. Not sure what the current selection looks like though.

I love Green River FP. I get a Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal note on it. I've never actually had the cereal itself, but I was in close proximity. Great review, I do get it, but the Raisin Bran comment may invite some smarta**ed comments... Try the wheated bourbon next. Cheers!

I wasn't that impressed at first when I cracked it, but then it really opened up and mellowed quite a bit with time, and their other varieties are solid, striaght bourbon, wheated and rye.

Enjoyed this review. I picked up a Cask strength store pick at Lucky’s in Hudson. It’s 125 proof. Will crack it soon!

I used to be a craft beer snob, but now I understand there’s a beer for all seasons and occasions, and this one seems to have its place as well. If you like this style of beer done right, pick up a pack of Fair State Brewing’s “Cranking Foamers”.

At the end in the airport there were some Loch Lomonds and some Two Stacks that sure are better than the other crap around. The single GlenAllechie next to the Loch Lomond was possible but none of the prices were shown to know.

I had tried the sample of this that you sent me and out of curiosity compared notes. I thought that the nose was weak, and the palate just ok. But I was really impressed with the finish.
