Excellent review, and really enjoyed the procedure for testing timing. I'm 70 years old and have come full circle with handguns. Started off with just revolvers, for the first 10 years of collecting and shooting. Then went to semi-auto Walther P38, Colt 1911, Beretta 92FS, Sig 226, and then the striker plastics owning several Glocks. For years the revolvers just stayed in the safe, and rarely got shot. Now that I'm retired, I have this incredible interest in revolvers again. They are so much more beautiful, and interesting then the striker polymers. I'm back to my first love, and now a subscriber.

Thank you for the review. I was looking at several reviews on this hand gun, and they are all pretty similar in the fact it impresses everyone after examining and firing it.
The trigger pull measurements are all very close as well, with the double action in the 11 to 12 lb range, and single in the 4 to 5 lb range. Everyone comments on the craftsmanship being better than expected, and that it would be a good choice for carry or home defense.
Another thing that was mentioned was the fact this hand gun has the firing pin on the hammer. You can see the set screw for the pin when the hammer is cocked back. I'm not sure how many other, if any, guns have this feature.
For me, the cost (half the price of Rugers and the King Cobra) and the reviews have me sold that this will be a good choice for my home defense gun. Now if I can only find one in stock!

I have a friend with a high mileage Rossi .357. Probably 20 years old or so. Still works just fine. Decent trigger. Good value for the money and to think I tried to talk him out of buying it back in the day.

    It's actually a copy of S&W "J" Frame 60 series, Taurus (856-38cal.-6) just came out with the New "ROSSCO" 357 6shot which is a S&W 1930's l-frame Trooper/Police Model #10 in BLK-Blued. Although it's a 357 ...take a extra hand with you to the range 🤣😂🤣 kicks like a Mule 😜

The best way to check lockup, is after the trigger is pulled all the way to the rear, do not let the trigger travel forward hold it all the way to the rear and then check cylinder lock up that is the moment of cartridge detonation and that is when lockup is the most important. Just an FYI exclamation point

This revolver looks more like an S&W clone than a Colt judging by cylinder release. I saw you checking the lock-up. The way I was taught is to cock the hammer and ease it down but don't remove your trigger pressure once the hammer is fully down. It is at this point that you check for wiggles. I have passed on a few revolvers due to play in the cylinder. I am interested in getting the 6in version of this revolver. I already have a sp101 that locks up tighter than the government covering for itself.

I have the 605, also. I think I'm going to pick this up and try it out. Even with the traditional hammer it's still carrying 5 rounds with one empty chamber. So no loss from the 605. I like the 3" quite a bit better but would never drop the $800 or whatever for the Colt. The grips look superior also, instead of buying a new set for the Taurus. I see this for about $350 online now, really can't go wrong at that price, there is always a buyer for affordable revolvers, if I stick to what I'm carrying now.
