I just received mine this week and one thing I discovered is that you can not only connect everything to your wireless device, but it also has a CRMX wireless transmitter in it so you don't have to occupy your iPad wireless network. I'm still playing with that part a bit but enjoying learning more about this device.
@Justin_Allen hi! sounds interesting. what do you mean with not having to occupy the iPads Wireless network? Can i ask you to elaborate? You wire it or how?
Mine is arriving later this week and I can't wait to sync all my aputure, litegear and cream source fixtures in one universe...no more bouncing between apps to control lights. I also want to mess with the Art-Net feature and pair my Astera Titans to Sidus. Use 8 channels for each tube for a total of 48 channels designated for my titans. Have my entire truck CRMX'd to my Sidus One thus tethered to my iPad for ultimate control...every single fixture controllable under one iPad via the Sidus One, can't wait! I am curious about range. If I wire the Sidus One to my hazer and leave it there, can I walk around set with my iPad and still maintain solid signal strength? Thats my only concern.
The current version of Sidus Link Pro is not able to do multi segmented control for linear lights yet, but that feature will be added in a future update.
@@shadowshapers thanks, that’s a bummer!! I have only Aputure lights apart from a set of nanlite 30x (for multi segmented control, fiddly but it works) can’t wait to switch those to Aputure but that’s really a key missing feature. Sucks, don’t understand the real point of pixels if not for those use cases
@@ShortStoryInspiration I'm not sure that I understand your comment. If I think I understand you, are you asking why lights have pixels or are you asking why Sidus Link Pro can't currently control multiple pixels?
Hi, what if I need to control DMX from another source other than sidus link, is that possible? I want to use DMX from a daw, using a USB receiver and then send DMX wireless to my lights, is this setup possible in any way?
You can use apps that connect to devices via ArtNet or sACN with the Sidus One. We haven’t personally tested those two (we’ve tested a couple other apps though), but they should work.
The Sidus One includes a DMX (5-pin, male and female XLR) breakout cable that you can plug into generic DMX devices. In this case, we had to use a 5-pin to 3-pin XLR adapter in addition to the breakout cable. After that, it was just a matter of assigning the DMX channels in Sidus Pro for Fan and Haze to match what the Hazer's channel was set to -- same as we did with the generic par light.
I'm waiting how this would unfold. Sidus link is very annoying (BT version). Seems Sidus Pro will be some kind of subscription based service. Beta is free, but it will be paid :(. So for one man band like me it might be too expensive to use. Do you have already some info about upcoming cost?
@@parkercreative_au Annoying part is that it disconnects from the scene every time you switch do another app on the phone. This happens on android and iOS. Other apps (GVM and Godox) does not disconnect like that ... do you know the solution to this problem?
video after video i’m constantly reminded why this is my favorite channel on RUclips
Oh stop it. You're making us blush ☺️
that sounds like a great way to spend a birthday! the hazer is such a good example of why sidus one is so powerful. great video!
Yeah, there's so many outlier products that it will be incredible to use Sidus for
I’m baffled that you don’t have a bigger following! Thanks for the content 👍
Thank you! We'll get there someday 😜

Yeah they are really packing this thing with features. It's going to be incredible

Proud of you guys, thanks for sharing this info!
Thanks for watching!
Is it possible to make an ep how to connect Astera Titan to Sidus One. Thank you in advance
Happy whenever your birthday way, Adam!
HBD ADAM!!
🥰 Thanks!
Great!! Can you guys show how to program pixel tubes for poor man trailer or other pixel effects? Thanks 😊
Yeah we can add that to the list! Thanks for the suggestion 😃

@ShortStoryInspiration You can still connect to the Sidus One via ArtNet and do pixel control through other software means, just as a heads up!

I know the Aputure bulbs arent CRMX but Astera Nyx bulbs are. So you wouldn't have to swap to Bluetooth. ;-)

It sure is. You can use TX mode on the Sidus One, which lets you transfer data from DMX512/ArtNet to CRMX.
Hi! Can you use it with Luminair or Black out app or only works with sidus pro?

Yes it works, using it with Blackout on set. Works good. (Set universe offset to 1 on blackout)
has anyone used these with lightmats or nan lights?
Yes I have. What do you need to know?

I don't for sure. I know their goal was to make it reasonable though.
Sidus link is only annoying if you don’t know how to use it. it’s very affordable, even as a one man band.
