I don't know who says audio makes up 50% of the viewing experience lol, it completely depends what you're viewing! For example if you're watching a podcast then audio is >90% of your viewing experience, if you're watching boats in rough seas then audio is
All the principles here apply to lav mic's as well. Do the fist (👊🏽) or (🤙🏽) test, so the lav is about that far from your mouth on your shirt. That will give you the best sounding audio. As well, with a lav, be very mindful of the environment. If the room is large, you will get an echo no matter what.

Those are great tips, I have a Blue Yeti mic but have not used it yet as currently recording my videos with a smart phone and not desktop or laptop.
