I'm typing this as I am watching the video....this is INSANE! You just showed me an amazing hack in 7 minutes. My wife and I do a dual podcast with ONE camera on the two of us at all times...BORING! I have always struggled with OBS...your explanation was so 'not technical' and I got everything I needed. Thanks so much. I am new to your channel and already loving it! I want to see if this will work via the Riverside platform :-) Thank you so much!
This has been an amazingly helpful video. I’ve watched over 50 videos on setting up a podcast and this is the most helpful one. Especially the three shot 4K tip! Thank you, Mac
Wow thanks for the detail. This is exactly what I needed. I bought a mic then realised I had no idea how to get proper quality in my recordings. How much storage hdd space do you have with your setup?
Nice Video. I picked Cam Link for the second scene just as you have done it here but it does not show. Is there any setting in OBS that i need to activate or its just my camera settings. I use a Fuji XT5

Great video but I believe you explained the USB pre-fade incorrectly. You're exactly right with the ability to multrack record pre-fade all at unity levels but if you're using the RCP Duo or RCP 2 as an audio interface going into another program via USB, selecting pre-fade won't be good. When you adjust the fader volume, it will affect the monitoring that YOU hear but your audience (if you were live for example) is going to hear everything at unity level, which could be a problem if you're playing background music through the RCP as well.
Thanks for checking out the video Walt. I will definitely keep that in consideration when I do more experiments with this board also, I checked your channel out. I love your content.
Great channel and information for new podcasters,, but I am shocked you are promoting OBS,, it’s not for video newbies. I would suggest you look into Ecamm for your scene presentations and switching. Especially since you are using Macs.
Still have not found anyone that can explain how top get even more than 1 track out of the Duo with OBS I've watched a dozen how to setup multitrack and they focus on the duo and leave OBS to the wind LOL anyway enjoyed your video
How do you get your audio and video in sync? Also, when using an Atem mini for video and a Rodecaster for Audio, how do you sync the two for the live stream so that the audio does not precede the video in the stream?
Oh, these are good questions. When editing we sync, the video and the audio in the editing software most video editing software now has an automatic syncing action. To go live it’s usually as simple as selecting the ATEM mini as the camera source and selecting the road, caster duo as the audio source. Sometimes audio drift will happen for the live stream, but it usually corrects it itself. If you notice the drift is bad and doesn’t correct itself. You may have to lower the video quality output.
I'm good with synching in post, but for the livestreaming, not so much. I do select the Atem as the video source and it's restricted to 1080p, and I select the Rodecaster as the audio source, but the audio usually precedes the video on the livestream. The Rodecaster has an audio delay option for the output signal, but I can't seem to nail the exact number milliseconds I should set it at. I was hoping you guys would be able to test it out and try to determine the optimal settings. FYI I use a 3 or 4 camera setup. 2 X ZVE10's 1 X FX30 & 1 X a6600 (with sigma primes). Any tips would be highly appreciated❤.
