I don't think I've ever wanted a light modifier this badly before. Gorgeous quality, really nice setup, and those honey sticks look amazing! Great in-depth video guys, keep it up!
As a dinosaur commercial shooter, when I started in the 1970s gear mfg were VERY limited. Big softboxes didn’t exist- so we MADE our own. 4x8 sheets of foam core, sailcloth for faces, etc. imagine a 16x24ft overhead light…just to shoot cars.
Yeah, this would help alleviate that situation... I mean not the dad yelling but with an 8 ft by 8-ft light source, the light would be cast on whatever project is being worked on. So you have that one for you which is nice... The setup time could be problematic
This channel is becoming everything I miss about Corridor Digital, Freddiew, and Film Riot. Educational videos on production with entertaining elements, not the other way around. I love the contrast between professional DIY! Knowing that you guys are at the 10-year mark, were only 4 years in and determining which pieces of equipment are worth the "professional tax" and which ones are fine to stay DIY for longer. I was curious in an older video you mentioned creating sound dampening walls using felt and wood slats, I'm somewhat newer to the channel... But did you have a video explaining how you built them or what type of felt you used?
Dude, what an epic comment. 🥲 Thank you for taking time to tell us that. ❤️ We've been big fans of those guys for a long time. I'd have to look back. I'm not sure if we covered it in one of the videos yet or not. We are working on a studio tour of the back half of the building. And we will definitely be going more in depth at that point.
Another great video, and the products look fantastic. However, I would prefer if you didn't need an Allen key to tighten everything, but rather a regular tightening knob on every point so you wouldn't need separate tools. In the Netherlands, we use a slightly different system for the knots. We have elastics with a 3D-printed holder, which is 100 times faster to set up and take down.
Really enjoyed this video and I'm a big fan of HoneyCrates products. What would the price breakdown of your DIY system vs your new rig? It really seems like a great system and one I'd love to replicate. I'm also curious how this would look with some of the upcoming Aputure infinimats. Thanks again! Looking forward to watching more
Thank you! I'd have to figure that out. Honeycrates had a big hold on sewers and sewing for a while. Because of all the movie strikes taking place. So I'm not sure if they have the bee too and skirts on the website right now. Dude we have been waiting for infinimats. I'm sure we will be publishing something as soon as we get to try those out. Thanks for your comment!
I hope Gerald Undone gets the chance to tour your factory, been loving his Tour Series
That would be epic! Now how do we make it happen? 🤔

We were dying for this thing. I bugged Danny for quite a while about a collaboration 😂
@@threefoldtv It was well worth the effort!
They must have sent it to the wrong address, this was meant for me! Let's get this issue resolved quickly!
This is not good! 😬 Love all your breakdown videos! Keep it up 👊
Great video - im always frustrated how much rigging is often needed for 8x8 overhead soft boxes - so nice to see a more streamlined solutions
This is an awesome solution for studios, and those honeysticks look like a great solution for balancing it!
Beautiful content!!! I need this more❤❤❤
This is awesome! Great product and even better video 👏👏
Thank you! 😊 This Beehive is the best!
"Ours looks like a trash bag..." 😂

How would this compare vs. a distant father yelling at their son to hold the light steady? That’s the setup I’ve been using.

@aTRACEofENERGY Bro this comment is hilarious 😂😂😂 -

Ok good news, we'll be going into detail about where we sourced the felt in the next Warehouse video, Part 8!
@@threefoldtv Thank you so much for not only remember my comment and planning to address it in the video but coming back to update us!

We actually use 3D printed knobs for lots of our ties too!!!
One of my favorite channels! Commenting for the algo lol
Thank you ❤️ 🥹

I want one.
Do you have a link to the flat LED panels? Awesome video btw. Only one i could find on this subject!
A comparison in output would’ve been awesome 🤔
Agreed! Gotta get a spectrometer...
Great Minds think a like, did a version of this for my studio!
It's the best Studio setup!
You should lotion the hands, cz its winter time😂
Yeah we filmed this a few months back haha
❤❤❤ for the algo
Why dont you just use ZIP TIES???!!!! Absolutely faster. Rope knots take way too much time, and they LOOK LIKE SHIT!
