That’s a friggin huge trunk. I’ve got the aluminum 42l good for one helmet.
Definitely happy with the size. My CBF1000, with the OEM top box, was supposed to be able to hold 2 helmets... but was only able to get 1 full face in it (and even that was a stretch).
That top box is huge! Well, except for the back pad that is, that looks a little narrow, I'm not sure my wife will be a fan of that. You have sold me on the stickers, $160/ea is cheap for diamond encrusted. The whole set-up looks great, I am anxious to get mine. Based off your videos, the function of both the side cases and top box look remarkably similar to the sport cases on my 2021 HD Pan America, I have a sneaking suspicion that HD used the Honda cases as "inspiration".
great set up!
it works well. Not the least expensive option, for sure... but less than the aluminum cases and most brand name after-market stuff (ie. GIVI and SW-Motech).
A top box, the absolute iconic representation of the biggest fanny pack one can thrust their hips for.
Hahaha
It looks like a good piece of kit, but the price here in Canada is, well, insane! Nice video as are your others.
Definitely not cheap.... we are in agreement there. There are decent aftermarket options available... the ebay specials are tempting. $300 for a 65l top box, but will have to rig up a way to mount it. Some people get a Tusk cargo rack and attach to it. Even going that route, you are going to be $500+taxes.
@@coolhandchunk I stay away from the ebay specials. I'm looking at several different ones and hope to make a decision soon.
@@dangoodwin2948 good luck!
Any vibrations with the plastic boxes? Nice vid, much thanx.
None. Even at speed, no issues.
Very nice bike and vid.
Question. Are the side boxes shipped w/ a key that works without keying it to the ignition? Tkx.
Side cases come with a lock set that you (or the dealer) have to assemble to match the ignition key. They do not come with a separate key.
@@coolhandchunk ok Tkx a lot
Btw- how could I do that myself if I wanted to save the service fee??
@jackk1583 you can easily do yourself. The first lock will take you 30-45 minutes because you are trying out all the pieces to use yo get it to match the key. The second lock will take you 10 minutes. Not difficult, the instructions from Honda are very easy to follow with diagrams... the trick is to be organized and go slow.
@@coolhandchunk ok great/ picking up AT ADV THUR- and planning ahead- they are soooo expensive tho.
Where can I buy them? I been looking for them for my African twin
Honda dealer or perhaps through the honda website?
@@coolhandchunk I tried the Honda dealer and the Honda website they couldn’t even find the African twin in the accessory section of Honda website at least for the 2024 year
Dont you find it like a wind sail though ?
No, it's not bad. It's a tall bike, so there is going to be some effect from the wind.. but I find it quite planted... even when passing transport trucks at speed. I had a KLR650 and it was horrible...
To bad Russia cover most of the top box LOL!👍👍💀💀
I mean.... it is a large land mass!
